Love that you did one of Kelsie’s patterns after she made your bucket hat! She is absolutely obsessed with making them! Love seeing you guys support each other and loved the video! So nice to see something other than the norm with plushies! They all look amazing ✨
I made your bucket hat using KC cotton yarn. It is softer than the cream yarn. I had to skip one row as it hangs differently than the cream yarn. Love the design! The crop top, it’s ok if it’s short, I have seen it worn with a tank. You can try to do flowers on hair clips like Blondie knots. She has a simple design. Perfect for hot weather. Oh, I did your lavenders as well, top notch! Thanks for sharing. My space is filling up with a plethora of zoo animals for personal use. No I don’t do markets. Good thing I have lots of nieces and nephews lol…
I never did markets before, started running out of room. 😂 the yarns are odd how they work up. I’ve done a few hats where I’ve had to skip a round as well or they are too long.
I made 4 of your bucket hats this weekend and had no problem following your video. I also made 2 smaller ones using a 4.5 mm hook for my granddaughters and they absolutely loved them.
The young girls 17 and 18 would love the halter tops the purple color. The blue top is very pretty also and the girls would love them. The bucket hat is adorable. everything is cute. MAke some cute slippers . also granny square purses
I really enjoyed crocheting along with this video, so thank you for "talking my ear off." I do like amigurumi, but I don't sell and don't have plans to. I have several aquariums full of my projects and have no room for more and no children around for gifting. What I'm getting at is that I enjoy your back and forth of utility projects and plushies.
Robin, I truly enjoy your videos no matter what you’re crocheting. You do you, and crochet whatever suits your fancy. That crop top is gorgeous, love the color way, and the edging really compliments it! 😊💕
Enjoyed your video! Two things that I make besides plushies are dish scrubbies and pot holders. I'm going to make your sun hat! It looks nice. Hope you have a great week!
I don't do markets and most of my makes are amigurumis but not plushies - so I appreciated this video very much. I enjoy your plushie videos too. Your makes are great! I think I'll make some of those car coasters. I've made your bucket hat several times and love how they turned out.
Wow.....love the variety of patterns. That raglan top is perfect 🥰 I need to make one after I make myself a cardigan 😂 your response to all of the questions was spot on!!! 😊
Love love love those market bags. I've always got one on the hook to work on in my downtime or in between projects. They're so cute! And I really enjoyed this longer video! I got so much of my own crochet done during 😅
I love it! I was burnt out of making plushies. so this was a great video! I was just watching Kelsie last night.. Im going to make your bucket hat. but I will wait until the updates.
Hi Robin…besides plushies I crochet purses such as clutch, boho, granny square daisy, and child. Also sunflower and chicken coasters as well as bralettes. I do all these in Lion Brand 24/7 100% mercerized cotton. Dishcloth cotton is painful but I use it for tea towel toppers. I sell my bralettes for $45 and sold 23 of 24 this weekend at our major event of 300 exhibitors.
That’s fantastic! What pattern do you use for the bralettes? Do you put a liner in the purses? Oh I have so many questions 😂 I would love to experience a market like that!
I hope you experience it someday soon also. The bralette is Cosmoknits - Summer Bralette by Emily Borden. I do like the one you made because the cup is closed more. I do hang a pack of nipple covers that can be found easily in our area. Yes I line all my purses but the child and I use magnetic closers. This was the 45th Art in the Park, day two I made my goal and four times that on day one. Bittersweet now I need inventory for June 22&23. High fees with high traffic can be well worth it. Take care Robin!
The coasters are the same type of pattern as a face scrubby. I'm glad you are playing with different things to enjoy your craft again 🥰 I usually have several going depending on my mood and if my brain is functioning 😁
@@KnottingHookCrochet Maybe. I was too excited to make your snake so I skipped doing the scrubby. The original plan was to do them right after washcloths 🤔

I’ve made 4 of your bucket hats! A multi color of gold/greens and a solid gold! (Red/white/blue) supersaver brand bucket hat! And a very pale blue bucket hat! Then I did a pale yellow n light purple! I plan on making more! I finally got to write down the pattern of your so I can keep it with me at all times along with other random patterns I tend to write down 😅
I totally understand the plushie burnout I too have been working on numerous other type of crochet products for a while now it all started when Joann's didn't have the Posh yarn in stock and I just decided I was done with plushies for a while
That market bag is gorgeous! Green id my favorite color. I think the 1 different colors looks awesome. I have to make one for me! I like the water bottle holder too. I have a couple sets of car cozies (not crocheted) I got as gifts! These probably work better. I'm in a funk too! But I have orders to fill! Oh well, probably after vacation! 🦋💖
I like to save my “I love this cotton” for wearables since it’s nice and soft but I get the crafters secret cotton from hobby lobby for other makes, it’s easy to work with and comes in a ton of colors but is more cost effective than any sugar n cream that I’ve found in stores.
I find with Lily Sugar and cream yarn and other cottons similar, it’s easier to yarn UNDER the hook instead of yarning OVER the hook. It also gives me personally a nicer looking sc stitch than usual, so I use it for more decorative projects.
I made your bucket hat as well, just worked the same 2 increase rounds one extra time and it gave me a perfectly sized hat. It was a very intuitive pattern in my opinion
I tried your bucket hat tutorial, first 2 tries it was too small. Used same clover hook and I love this cotton yarn. Going up to a 5.5 didn’t help. I was finally successful starting the first 5 rows with a 5.5 then switched to 5.0 for the rest. I also started with 14 stitches, instead of 12. I love the hat, thank you for the tutorial. I’m on hat 10, making them to sell. 😊
I love the way the top turned out. The colours are beautiful, I haven't tried it yet. I have made many a Lily top, in all sizes. I like the idea of car coasters. I have had requests for kids bucket hats. I really like that bottle holder pattern. You have been super busy.
I don't feel like I've been super busy. Kids bucket hats I'm not sure what stitch I would use for that. Definitely a quick one. Do the Lily tops sell well for you?
I loved this video! Fun to see something different than plushies. The car coaster can be marketed as face cleansers pads as well, I sell a ton of them in sets along with washcloths. I really love your market bag and crop top, they came out great!
you motivate me. I've been feeling BLAH for about 2 weeks now. I force myself to do orders but I feel lost with what to crochet. I do mostly plushies too.
That light blue really looks great with your main yarn! It's amazing how creative we get when only using our stash 😁 I heard that clothing is made using a B cup for measurements. Only one person in my family could wear it 🤣
Hi Lady, I suggested the water bottle. I did a similar pattern. I did 4 rows single crochet after the 30 to fit the bottle. then, mesh net stitch for 8 rows. After that, added 2 rows sc. then chain 130 to the opposite side, stitch in to make a strap. SC the back loop back to the 1st chain. I also used acrylic yarn so it can be stretchy and tough and for it to cross the body :) I guess you can make the strap bigger, but I didn't think it was necessary.
In Denmark we grade cotton yarn on the number of small strands of fibre that makes up the yarn. We have 8/4 a thin cotton, 8/6 medium cotton and 8/8 which is a thick cotton
Love all your makes as usual, you do wonderful work ❤. I really love the market bag 😊 I’ve been working on the towel ring I suggested they are quick to make but using the sugar and cream and that yarn is killing my hands 😞 but trying to use it up. Anyways, hope your day is going good 👍 Happy Crocheting 🧶
Robin, we all go through these stages & best thing is to put it aside and focus on something different. By adding the light blue row on the top it makes it well done. Everything looks amazing! Have you thought about combining plushies with home decor.....im not talking about flowers, but maybe cactus you can put in a terracotta pot...3 or 4 inch pot. I've just started making them with plushie yarn. I love them. I make the dirt into the shape of an odd ball, so i dont have to glue it in because if the pot breaks, the cactus is pretty much ruined.
