The best design for a desktop size injection moulding machine that I have seen yet. Simple yet effective. I am going to copy your idea and make one for myself. Thank you.
If your interested i sell a STP file of the design you can down load from my website to get stated on. If not feel free to ask any questions as you do you build, i would be glad to assist in anyway I can.
This is exactly what I'm looking for! A simple, robust, cost effective setup that'll allow me to do initial prototyping of small parts related to rapid battery assembly that'll be outsourced for large volumes. Think I'll do some redesigning to add another pneumatic cylinder for mold clamping.
I Like this design, the only thing i would add is a sliding backplate with an ejectorplate as well.. that would make for faster work.. but then again.. this design is great for simple parts that you just can pull out.. An Adjustable Clamping system like a ViceGrip would also be great.. But the best part of this machine is the simplicity...
That’s a great design Scott. One suggestion, maybe interlock the air control solenoid to the heater controller to avoid injection until barrel is up to temperature?
Yes that's a great idea Muesli !!!... I could integrate with my PSoC micro a PID controller and the switch ... or use the alarm output of the off the shelve PID controller to do it also. I have already have a PID temperature control system working with my PSoC on my full automatic machine so it could easily be done. I also believe the barrel really could use two heater coils to help more also. Thanks for reaching out.

@@salahzenieh2515You are right Salah ... what did i say? Shot size can be in the range of just over 2 cubic inches. Sorry i must have been drinking my bath water that day!
I am still working to getting my website completed. As far as pricing have not got to exact pricing yet but should be for Lou-2 complete 3D CAD design $199 and for my full full automatic servo Machine will be in the $299 - $399 range. Note both design are complete they include every part nut and bolt. I have one more video to do for Lou-2 then I will start on Craggier-1 (servo based full auto version) Your thoughts would be appreciated is this reasonable for complete designs. I will also offer complete kits and parts.
It depends on several factors such as material and part geometry, but for LOU2 the amount of material able for injection should be just over 12.6 cubic cm. That may be able to be increased if you run two heaters instead of one. My website is being constructed right know I hope to have it up in two weeks. Its www.clifford-mfg.com when its ready.

Excellent work! Greetings from Brazil.
You deserve all the subs you get Scott! Excellent work, and thanks for sharing 👏🏻👍🏼
I appreciate that!
You’re an awesome teacher! Thank you for your knowledge!

Awesome machine dude. Ironman!
You are a legend I just come across this 🤯

Perfect as usual!!
Thanks Talga

This machine of yours is very beautiful. Whether the machines are powered by power packs or not and how the machine is run on air hydraulic cylinders.

parabéns amigo por posta seu trabalho.
Very cool, nice machine!
Will this work for a larger die. Something requiring around 100g?
Thanks a lot again Scott!
Thanks again!
Thank you Scott!
Very welcome!
Nice machine. I’m sub’d.
What is the max shot you can get from the machine?
Sorry I do not think I answered your question about ~1824cm3
That is for LOU2 machine!
@@scottclifford-cliffordmfg4148 18.24?
@@scottclifford-cliffordmfg4148 That number seems off. Your plunger is 3/4" Dia and stroke is 4". That would yield 1.767in^3 ~ 29 cm^3.

any progress getting your web page up? what is the estimated price on the kit versions of your machine?

@@scottclifford-cliffordmfg4148 I'm really interested in the fully automatic one, and would be glad to buy one, and be an early unit tester for you

Hi Scott
What's the Volume of the part you can inject ?
Btw, what's your website address ?

just at 2in^3 for Lou2 and over that on Craigger
Does anyone know if you can use resin printed molds with this machine?
Yes you can use resin printed molds quite nicely with this machine.
