It varies. The easiest for me is in the spring in the shallows and my go to was Lake Olathe and Cedar lake. In the winter and when it's hot you can still locate them but, it's definitely easier by boat when they are further out and deeper.
Heyy brother what kind of weights are you useing cause when I fish the river I don’t hit the bottom cause my line keeps going ..so what size I should use to fish this river
Hey man!! I'm using a no roll 8oz weight at the moment. Not all water and situations need that much weight but currently that's what I have. If I'm in a rocky place with high current the weight will usually get stuck and I leave it there and my bait is usually still in a good spot for fish. Typically if I get a bite it will pull the weight free. Sometimes the current could be so strong that even a 16 oz weight would flow down so it just depends what the bottom of what you're fishing is. I know that in sand with a high current, my 8 oz will still flow down a little bit and then stop eventually
For me the 8 works fine. I was exaggerating a little with the 16, but sometimes there are such heavy currents that depending on your bait, will just sweep you down river. I'd try the no roll style and see how it works.
Since I moved from Jersey I have use the no roll ..cause people told me it won’t move but it’s another weight I seen that looks like an arrow I going to check them out when I do get a chance but thank you for information for real be safe out there and one we can hang out and catch some baby godzillas…🤣🤣🤣..catch u later
@@CatfishKC ahh. Not to familiar on the kc side, usually go around topeka, or turner up to the 435. I like dumping in on the waki and going up the kaw but to many crackheads break into my truck lol.
Ya I haven't done anything in Topeka yet. I have some of my wife's family out there in Hoyt Kansas and keep meaning to bring some poles and check out the Topeka area. Our very first video we took my boat up to 435 dam from Turner diagonal bridge boat ramp. I didn't know at the time how much people broke into trucks there. I used to Turner to drop in quite a bit but I stopped several years to drop in quite a bit but I stopped several to drop in quite a bit but I stopped a couple years ago after a new too many people getting things taken off their truck, or their Windows broken and tailgates broken into.
That Blue has definitely been snacking...nice vid!
Yeah it was one of the fattest little guys I've seen. Thanks for watching!!
Milford Lake kansas, Great blue cat fishing. Ralph Mann is the catfish king there.
Surprisingly I still haven't fished either Milford or Tuttle yet. I definitely plan on getting to at least Milford this year.
I always wondered if you could park at that spot and fish without someone messing with your vehicle or getting kicked out.
Awesome video! I wanted to ask where do you catch shad at?

Do you ever use skipjack
I've only used it a couple times. You have to buy it around here since it's not in the water. I've been using live bait and gizzard shad
