Quick note! The hydroboost gel cream comes in both fragranced and nonfragranced. Make sure if you go for this one, grab the right one, the "EXTRA-dry skin" as shown in her pic. They both look almost identical. 😉

Hi Dr. V, thanks for all these fantastic videos! Would love a review of Face Theory (they offer fragrance free versions of all their products!) as well as the new fragrance-free PIXI Clarity line (particularly the Clarity Tonic).
Another set of videos that would be super useful would be on actives at different percentages (e.g. Niacinamide at 2%, 3%, 5%, 10% and over) and how they work on the skin at these different percentages, including whether some percentages might irritate skin of colour.

Yes, there is one. I use it myself and it's very moisturizing which I need to prevent dryness. Some say it's irritating but it works for me. I also follow Dr Dray.

Unfortunately, it only gets worse a week before I menstruate. Seems like by the time I deal with the breakout and scars, it’s almost time for my period again. 😔 it’s an exhausting cycle. I’ve watched your acne regimen video and plan on implementing the products you recommended. Do you have any tips for hormonal acne?

You do not have to take every single thing she is saying and do that for your skin care. She is speaking in general it’s not a prescription based video. So if fragrance works for you then use it. If you notice that fragrance doesn’t work for you then you can come to this channel and see why. I hope this helps

@@vanitarattan I've noticed that a lot of dermatologist recommended products, like Neutrogena, and Nivea...their lotions and body washes darken the skin of already dark skin tones...it can be great for lighter skin tones...because it makes those skin types look sun-kissed...the products almost mimic a suntan

Hi Dr V. Thank you very much for all your videos. Have thought of creating a website that lists every product and basically states whether it has your stamp of approval or not? I think it could be nice to have everything in one place. Also you could almost become the stamp of approval for products for people of colour
Yaaaaay I've been using Hydroboost Gel Cream for about 4 months now :) I wish I found you sooner. I also recently started recently started using a physical sunscreen (CoTz Flawless complexion) as a black woman of Caribbean heritage. i didn't trust chemical sunscreens one bit so I avoided wearing anything but CoTz is fabulous for use brown girls. Honestly, I've also avoided it because my family looks fabulous. Not a wrinkle in sight on either side of the family.

Try ordering direct from Deciem. They are better stocked.
Vicky Sadler try the Deciem website, I managed to get everything I needed from there very recently, and a couple of things from The Ordinary from Boots. I logged onto the Deciem website at midnight and the Niacinamide was suddenly back in stock. Could be a coincidence but maybe they refresh the website at midnight!

I Soo appreciate the knowledge you give us. You have been going on about how we must avoid denatured alcohol. The other day I purchased micellar water from Sukin cz it had aloe vera but I found after three or four days it would start to cause burning sensation on my cheeks. So I read the ingredients list and it had "alcohol denat."... I stopped using it and instead purchased the Garnier one that you recommend. It has no denatured alcohol and my skin feels nothing! So so grateful. I am applying your knowledge to my skincare... I always read labels on my food packaging. So glad I can do the same now with my skincare . I now only only buy stuff that you recommend nothing else!
