As owner of all their albums starting with Infinity...I agree!😊 I have dream after dream album! It was a Japanese import. Steve Perry is on that album.
He only sings 1 song tho. To be fair...I had never heard of Journey prior to Perry! The first song I heard was Lights! Seen them live 4 times....twice before Steve Perry left. Twice after.

Only The Young was also a good song and Separate Ways personally all of Journey's music is good I still don't understand why Steve Perry just walked away from it all seen a documentary on him and he said he just got sick and tired if it what's sad is the last 25 years he could've put out so much more content anyway great band huge fan one of the few bands I never got a chance to see back in those days

Steve wrote a song with keyboardist Jonathan Cain for his mother, from a dream he'd had after she passed away. It is such a beautiful, emotional tribute from a loving son to his mother. It's called When I think of You. I've not seen a reaction for this song before. Steve Perry with Journey have so many hidden gems that is a loss to the world. I may be wrong but I blame the music industry for not show casing that amazing voice and with this phenomenal musician line up enough. Other sensational songs not heard enough are "Against the Wall", "Feeling That Way/Anytime" "Sweet and Simple", "Stone I love," "Why Can't This Night Go on Forever," "Something to Hide"(voice range and tone are incredible) and "Anyway" a song Steve wrote for his band mates. Your reactions are always articulate and on point. Please react to more Journey. I hope you will listen to this play list, I think you will be happy you did!

A few others have mentioned Journey's song "Mother, Father". If possible, please react to it from their 1981 Houston concert. The entire concert is 🔥 I think you'll find Steve Perry's vocals on this impressive, particularly the notes he hits at the end of this song.

    Hay Chod
Great to hear your reviews of Journey!! True, their pop vocal tunes are terrific!! However, the "origins" of Journey before Perry set the foundation for their pop success. Please PLEASE check out their tune "Kohoutek" on their first self titled album "Journey" released in '75...(before Steve Perry)...A very Progressive ROCK tune, with emphasis on ROCK! What can I say...Neil Schon one of the best and most underrated guitarist of our time, along Ainsley Dunbar on drums...AMAZING!! Too bad the band did not remain in the "Progressive" genre, which (I get it) did not sell albums. Don't get me wrong. I really like their "pop" tunes....But I LOVE Prog. Yes, Genesis, ELP, etc., saw them all live in the early 70's. Journey had performed in a small dining hall in the campus of the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA in 1973 when they were first starting out. They brought ALL of their audio equipment...Speakers from floor to ceiling and out to the walls on both sides of the stage; all for an audience of less than 200 people. When they played Kohoutek everyone was blown away!! I hope you feel the same after you hear it. Had Journey remained progressive, who knows what might have been...Oh well...

“Feeling That Way/Anytime” Keyboardist Gregg Rolie and Steve Perry share vocals. Rolie was lead vocalist for the first three albums before Perry joined '77. I needed this right now, had a very aggravating morning already and not just the song, but seeing you enjoy this song. Funny I was thinking about that exact same line, "The fighting is worth...", it is such a romantic line, but that same haze of romance sometimes keeps you from seeing that it might NOT be worth it. That is a great album, but someone needs to react to the title song, Escape. There's a reason for picking that song. Thanks, again.

Chod, it is always a joy to get to experience this classic music again for the first time though your eyes! I don't know if you are the best music reactor out there but I think you are at least on the podium! You've got it all, man! You are a truly kind and genuine human being, you have a strong and knowledgeable background in music (thank you Dad!), and you have not experienced much of the music you react to! The perfect package, and so thoughtful and respectful as well. Enough crushing on you, it's time for you to check out some Canadian music to go along with your Neil Young, Gordon Lightfoot and Joni Mitchell. How about American Woman from the Guess Who, New Orleans is sinking from The Tragically Hip and Absolutely Right or Werewolf or Signs from the Five Man Electrical Band? Peace to you!

Now to the meaning of the song I don't get the vibe that they split up what I get from the lyrics are they're going through the struggle of life and marriage one day one might put out 80% and the other 20% because they going through something and then the one that was the 20% is now 80% and the 80% is now 20% wonder who's crying now (IN A LOVERS RAGE THEY TORE ANOTHER PAGE THE FIGHTING IS WORTH THE LOVE THEY SAVED) My take is they're trying make it work (CAUGHT ON A ONE WAY STREET THE TASTE OF BITTER SWEET LOVE WILL SURVIVE SOMEHOW SOMEWAY) Great song and great reaction I'm a musician myself music is so wonderful it can move you heal you give you the blues and even burn out your shoes. 😁

If you're NOT going to say/react to anything during the song, then you should get an actual video where we can watch the band play... watching you bounce back and forth with a silly grin on your face isn't very entertaining.

If you don’t like the way he reacts, don’t watch. I like the way he does his reactions. There are plenty of other people doing reactions that might not make you angry. 😆
