This is real music. 43 years ago that concert happened and today people are still enjoying this music. Just delightful for the ears....
Perry and Journey were absolutely the best.
This concert is for the history of music…
When a live performance sounds better than the original, you know the band is really great. This performance is flawless.
I would go back to the late 70’s and early 80’s in a heartbeat. Life was easy then. And the music was at its purist and best. Time machine anyone? I’m in.
James Basinger Dude, yes! I WISH Steve Perry still performed with Journey! Would have loved to see them in concert!
I'll get some doritos :)
Yeah, I got one but you won't want to come back , I know, because I'm still there .
Count me in !!
I liked the head music also of the whole 70's too.
Fckng Neal Schon absolutely killing it here on lead guitar.
What a heart-felt solo.
Beautiful.
And Steve Perry's voice was always truly otherworldly.
Like he dropped onto Earth from another planet.
Astonishing range.
40 years from this show, it still sounds amazing.
Other than stone in love , who’s crying now two of the best guitar solos all time
Cuales serían los otros?
Besides Perry's incredible voice, let's give props to the piano guy for the soul grabbing melody, the crying guitar solo, and the drummer keeping it all in the pocket.
The piano guy?? How about Jonathan Cain, Steve Smith, Ross Valory, and the GOAT Neil Schon.....JOURNEY
Empty pockets. ...all gone

THE Piano Guy!! Are you kidding me!! HIs Name Is JOHNATHAN CAIN!!!!!! NOT!!!! Some Piano Guy!! 😠
the funny thing is Steve Perry was the one who wrote the melody and rhythm for this song, and the keyboardist Johnathan Cain wrote the lyrics hahahahha
Dude I've never met a band that sounds exactly the same live as they do in an album like Journey can! They are absolutely stunning!
Dude I thought exactly the same.
Excactly.. Sometimes Eagles can
Eagles? Nah
That distinction goes to these guys, and Queen
Completely agree 👍
Wow your right. Escape tour was my first concert. They played with Foreigner. Epic.
27 Yo. Born in '97. This was way beyond my time, and i felt every beat, note, and vocal. Today's music does not compare.
You're wise beyond your years young man.
That's great to hear. You know their might be hope for us yet.
@natehudson7419 there's more of us you know. Not all of us in our 20s, likes modern music. I used to love the Rat Pack for example when I was 14 lol.
Steve had the audience right in his hands❤❤his stage presence awesome I love him still❤
Still jamming to Journey, in 2021 Steve's voice was incredible.
I think this country could use some Journey and just gather to appreciate what we have. Not to get political, but things are in deep shit!
is incredible now
Yes
Steve's vocals are impeccable & Neal's solo is superb
Reminder: You are not hearing any auto-tune, it's pure talent and skill.
Young people: Talent? What app is that?
Yes and THANK GOD!!!
To hear Steve sing live.... I was lucky enough at a concert in the hills in California he's phenomenal....
Steve Perry is such a legendary vocalist!! Love him
Exactly
Steve has the voice of an angel and the looks also❤❤❤❤
Real Music, Real Singing, Real Lyrics, Real Talent!!
For Real.
Steve Perry...THE voice. enough said
Fred Mercury.....THEE voice of ages. Studied by science for over 30 yrs.
Ditto . Nothing follows .
Amazing Love Love Love.
He really was the best rock voice in the 80's. Such passion, vulnerability but strength.
Damn...great times in the 80's
No, Neal Schons guitar out shines Steve Perrys voice in my opinion. . .
The man has more passion in his voice than a million singers. He just makes me cry... he is so beautifully believable with his singing... Could listen to him forever and never get tired of his vocals. I cannot listen to the new Journey.... cannot, will not... never.
I agree with you! The new singer is good, but he’s not Steve Perry and can never be so from time to time I listen again to just enjoy every beautiful note from this extraordinary man!!!! 👍
Sounds about right my man 💪💪
Did Steve ever have vocal instru tion ? Anybody know ?
Neil Schon destroyed the integrity of the band with his greed, they're karaoke clowns now.
I miss the 80s, the best years of my life.
It’s crazy how much knowledge about singing, breathing, etc you need to sound the same way live the way you sounded during the recording of the album. Steve is truly breathtaking to me!
That's the thing that amazes me...the tech skill in singing. Blindingly good.
His voice is pure magic. No on has or ever could come close to him. His effortless words will be heard for all times. ♥
I think I could have came close after 5 years of chorus but smoking and asthma did me in
Exactly 💯
OMG!! I could hear that guitar solo a million times!!! Like if you love that incredible guitar solo too!!!🎸🎵
LIKE! LIKE! LIKE!...
A THOUSAND TIMES!
Even though he's half black
I just wrote the same thing...best solo ever! Amen
Steve what's the best rock and roll singer of all time
One of the best Solos ever !
I feel honored and blessed to have seen Journey live in concert. They were amazing and Steve Perry's voice live in concert just hits different. One of the greats.
Steve Perry. That voice. National treasure.
Chills run down my spine when that solo kicks in
A T -- EVERY TIME!!!!
Yessssss
Same here
So true
my favorite guitar solo from ANY guitar player.
This is some EPIC stuff! Almost 40 years later and this music is still rockin' hard!
I've been in love with Journey (Steve Perry) since I was 16, now I'm 68 and still in love with him!! That voice!!
That guitar solo always hits me hard.
Journey at their peak. They never had a better lineup. Perfection.
Rite on rite on
This was music! When people actually sang! Wow ! I love Steve Perry!
We thought this great music would never end

Hard to believe Steve is singing live. What a voice!!!!
What a voice! Watching this video, you can see and feel how emotionally invested Steve is in this and his other songs. He not only sings so beautifully but he makes you feel all the emotions that go with this song. Talent & passion... such a powerful combo and the best musicians along with him. Wow!
That's a perfection on every one second ! Excellent!!! Really "Numero Uno" !!!
Perfectamente cierto 👍
Fantástico grupo!! Todos envejecemos, pero they were GOOD, AND STILL ARE... We all hope you become friends again for the best. Love to 💕 all.
I do agree when he sing with feeling
Totally . ⚡🤘
Steve Perry’s enunciation, diction and personal vocal nuances, coupled with exceptional performances by Journey’s instrumentalists, resulted in a karmic performance.
I love how you articulated perfectly how we all feel about Steve Perry’s vocal performance and talent. Wow 10/10 comment
You two need to get a room
All you young people this is a Rockstar and the band.
Steve Perry's voice is like a surreal experience. Such beauty.
Yes! How many live performances today sound like this? Man I loved the 80s. Best music decade EVER.
Except for the 70's!
Jon Cain on keyboards, Ross Valory on bass Neal Schon on guitars, Steve Perry on vocals and Steve Smith on drums. Now that’s Journey..
Yes!!!❤
Have guitar with all the autographs
He playing that guitar
I was privileged to grow up in the 70s and 80s, which was a time with lots and lots of great music. With music that was written by humans an not AI. With songs that had a meaning and not that soulless shit they produce today and call music. Thank you Journey and all the bands from that era for giving me so much joy! 🥰
I was literally just balling my eyes out going through these journey songs. All the feels. 42 years encompassed through their songs.
I feel the same way. Nostalgia can be so painful, especially when you find yourself all alone reminiscing about good memories of your past.
the best days of my life..
@@occamsrazor6613 yes! Or if you have bad memories and this is the music that helped you get through the bad times!! Nostalgia can be painful.
This my fav tune from them I enjoy this time much
@@occamsrazor6613 I feel ya!!!! Getting old sucks!!!! :(
Steve Perry man, one of the best voices ever! He feels every word and delivers it beautifully ❤️

He is a master vocalist. The part before the solo is awesome
As much as I love the excellent studio recording, this trumps it
