After many hours of search to find the design that suit my taste I found your channel, and I must say you won a subscriber! Pretty hard to stop myself from watching all the content of the channel in one go, I don't have enough wood! 🤣
I've spent countless hours searching and searching and searching. You sir, are amazing and have my support. Thank you for your time you invest to share the knowledge.
I appreciate that and I'm glad I could help! Kinda a small channel tough getting stuff out to the people that really want it but it happened with you! Take care
Just watched the sofa and chair videos. Very informative. Just subscribed. Going to tackle a love seat variation as my spring project. Thanks for the great video!
Hola! 🖐Nice build, really nice chair. I'll come back to the comments after the summer to see how it's holding up AFTER the winter❄ then summer. ☀Take care and have a good one, Adios!👊
Nice work - just scribed! I've used GRK screws for all my projects (decks, framing, and couple of tables). For the table I used the GRK R4's. Wife has requested a matching bench and a couple of chairs. I was considering the GRK Trim Heads but I was concerned about their holding power. How is the chair holding up after 9 months? Are all the joints still tight?
Thanks for watching! I like these screws because they have a small head and after a few months you don't even see them anymore. The joints on the chair and sofa are still nice and tight no issues at all. But remember I used liquid nails in all of the joints also and I'm 100% sure it really holds everything tight! My next video is a lounger chair built the exact same way.
I love the furniture and portable workbench. My question is with using 2 x 6 material for the frame. There’s not much of the cushion sticking above. When sitting in that won’t the back of your legs push into that wood?
Thanks! You are right about that front board. I can slightly feel it but doesn't bother me at all. I think someone installed a 2x4 there that will pretty much eliminate any issue. I liked the uniformed look between the sides and the front all using the same width of board. Take care!
@@HomeProHero thanks a lot for getting back to me in a timely manner! I just started watching your videos and have been enjoying your channel very much! Thank you for that clarification. I will continue ahead with 2 x 6 for the front board. I noticed a police car parked in your driveway in some of your videos. I’m assuming you are a police officer and if so, thank you for what you do!
Sounds good! Yep been in Law Enforcement for 27yrs. Currently work full-time for one and part-time at one nearby my house :) Appreciate the comments - Thank you
Are you just using the 2x6 directly from hardware store? You're not doing any jointing or planing to get them so square? Also, did you not seal the wood at all?
Right other than cutting the boards to length I did use a palm sander to smoothen out the wood a little. I think it was 220 grit. It was already treated wood and it was already brown so I didn't feel as if sealer or paint was needed. The wood is just like the green treated stuff but it's brown and called cedartone. It's pine. Thanks for watching!
I love pocket screws and yes you could use them there but I would use in conjunction with liquid nails. With that said I think the method I used would be stronger but either way will work. Haven't noticed any issues at all with the chair or the couch! Thx for watching
@@HomeProHero have watched this video and the couch video, probably a 100 times. Going to go for both of them this weekend. And then make the end tables from the scrap. Thank you so much for these ideas and videos!
@@nesumner that's great to hear! Send me some pics! If it makes you feel better I have 4 other viewers build them! Also if you become a member I have detailed plans, cultists and pics to make it all easier!

Lol love it! In the video I was too high and had to cut the legs down but on the plans it's the lower height. I love that chair might build another since I have room! Good luck
I love the use of 2x6s. Always have the option of adding a cup holder.
Yea gives it a great bulky look. It's my favorite going to build another one. Maybe a rocker too. May cup sits nicely on the arm rest :) Take care

Thanks for watching! So far so got it's a rock! Not going to blow away :)
Love it
Bought the steps, followed the video on the chair sofa and table and they came out perfect! Thank you!
That's great! Thank you
I like the bulky myself also well done 👊
Yeah the 2x6's are a good look over 2x4's. Plus really sturdy. This chair is my favorite over the sofa. Armrests perfect for drinks!
Tus trabajos son excelentes.
Thank you I appreciate you watching!

Morning sir! I forgot to ask. Even though you use cedar tone pressure treated lumber, do you seal it as well?
Yes you could stain it or seal it np. Just want to wait about 6 months until the moisture in the wood has time to evaporate.

Is there any reason you didn’t use pocket screws on the 2X4 you cut to be a 2X2. Like would it be weaker? Or would the screws protrude?

Liked and subbed😅👏👏👏👋🥳🥳
Thanks for watching! The whole outside set of furniture is really good! Can't wait to use it when this winter is gone!
@@HomeProHero I’d need a foot rest to stretch out with that chair now😂 it does look comfy !! Well done!
That back support board, the one where you said "This is the hardest part" Is that a 2x4 or a 2x6?
Thanks for watching! It's a standard 2x4. Hope this helps! HPH

We noticed that the HPH was not wearing an HPH shirt. Is it really that cold in Indiana in the fall?
Yes I do need some HPH pullovers! Those are perfect in the fall in any state or country :) Merch link in the video description! Thx
How long are the 2x4’s on the back rest
The link to the plans are in the video description. Thx for watching

Is it a bit too low??? I bought the plans & I’m just staring at this before I glue & screw…. It seems REALLY low to the ground.
I'm 6'1 and it's perfect for me! I only sit in it but the sofa is the same height and my wife sits there she 5'4. I believe it's chair height.
Ok, I’ll run with it. I’m only 5’10” so it should work fine then. Perhaps I don’t need to be perched up high on a throne. 😂

Too much bulk for me
It can be build with 2x4's instead of 2x6's pretty easy. Thx for watching!
