Drillbert is amazing if you bother to UPGRADE HIS DRILL STRENGTH.
He keeps drilling while you're chilling, carrying loot, and lazering the native fauna in the face.
Drillbert could take your whole damn job if he had a jetpack too smh
Drillbert is honestly really strong, but you've gotta set him on a long journey aimed towards the middle so you don't have to spend very long managing him. Even if he takes a long time to do things, he reveals a ton of area and scales very well into the deeper area since he never has to go back to the surface like the player does.

Drillbert does scale with your intelligence. Thats the problem. Just drop him in the middle and hes incredible.
All you gotta do is push space bar to turn drilbert around, and 1 drill upgrade for drillbert makes him a mining god.

The most efficient way to feed resources through the transporter is to dig a hole at least 2 tiles deep and only 1 tile wide, then put the portal at the bottom of it. You can fill up the hole with resources and they'll fall down to the portal as they get transported.
Drillbert is a top tier companion.

if you don't feel like you have a lot of time on your way out you could drop the eye so you can just dig deep and then pop back before the monster wave depending how you want to structure your time so you don't lose out on it.

Bought the game. Just beat brutal because "intended difficulty" with recycler + condenser combo. My tip that if you don't get enough cobalt to get 40% melee defense in 5-7 waves you might as well reset. Watching NL is very painful again.
I don't think I got even the 15% upgrade for my shield until the very last wave before I got the relic. Shield plus electric wall thing is insanely strong. You can shoot flying enemies and a few ground guys on one side and then when they're all around you, let her rip. Stuns and kills galore. Pretty sure I took the lift, converter and scanner as my power ups.
