Badosa’s attacking forehand and serve are huge strengths, but her often unnoticed defensive capabilities are what make her such an incredible player. That point at 4:32 is a prime example of Paula at her most capable.

Especially in the wta anybody can beat anybody it doesn't really matter If you are top 40 or 50 you can still beat the top dogs consistently. Badosa is there and wins and that's the most important thing... I bet that if she lost this match you would complain that she lost to a nobody?
@@luisalejandro2335 Players like Martincova are nothing to sneeze at. There is a lot of depth in the WTA these days, and the fact that some players can put together a string of victories, is all the more impressive for me. Bear in mind, Martincova is near a career high top ranking (currently 42, vs high of 40), so she is in very good form for her level. That's the 42nd best tennis player in the world, in the worlds 4th most popular global sport. Try finding the worlds 42nd best doctor, lawyer, entrepreneur, NBA, NFL, MLB, or EPL player, and maybe compare with these individuals. I do often think that spectators lose sight of the fact that these are ALL exceptionally talented individuals.

If i was a Russian tennis player, I won't play any tournament where my flag is not accepted. First, it's a political and criminal action from the tennis authorities. Second, if you p accept playing without your country flag you have no identity, you belong to nothing, you are accepting your country does not exist, you are accepting your rights being violated... so in this case, guys you are not russian you have been unfaithful to your own country , that's why Russia is weak, it's own people (tennis players) reject it. If I am going to play representing my country USA but my flag is not accepted. I simply not play and leaving it as soon as I can, my country first ALWAYS.
