God has shit off my heart after adultery, physical, emotional and sexual abuse. It makes me nauseous to think of going back to him. And God has blessed me so much. I've left with 5 kids and things have been going so smoothly. My kids don't seem to miss him, they were victims of his too, but nothing compared to me.

I really needed this video. I always knew that God had released me from my marriage. I separated and waited for over three years to move to a divorce. He not only never repented, but also continued to sim terribly.
    God almighty is merciful.

God told me to wait until May. It’s May. I hear that I’m released. And it’s time to move forward.
He moved 5 hours away without telling me during our separation.

Yes. I learned this last year… I told my husband I wanted a divorce, but it wasn’t until God released me. I asked Him to show me in His Word where it was okay to do so and He did.
Now my plan is to let others know what the signs are and that it is okay.
Thank you for doing the same.
I subscribed after listening to only one video. Your videos are short and to the point and I love that.

You are an answer to prayer! Been seeking wise counsel, a year out of a 25-year marriage, very emotionally abusive. Have a lot of guilt, guilt for leaving guilt for staying as long as I did. I do believe that I am fully released. Your words have helped me realize I am on the right track. Thank you so much! God bless you.

The response to this question sounded so familiar. I’ve played it over a few times and made notes on what was applicable to my situation and it felt like you were describing my experience. I’ve been looking for help and information and hitting a blank in most areas. I have shut down for a while already and just kept saying to the Lord, this relationship and this life can’t be the rest of my story. It can’t be the rest of my life.
I’m so grateful for this material!!!

I was divorced by the time I saw this. My "Christian" husband slept with another woman, slapped me around and abandoned me to live in a bachelor pad and THEN wanted to come back. That's a big nope.

Can you help me understand what emotional abuse is? My husband claimed that’s why he left me abruptly but I’ve wracked my brain to think of anything I could have done. I confessed a long list of repentances, begged for counseling, and vowed to stay single for reconciliation purposes. From what I can see, he left for another woman who he introduced my daughter to as soon as he left. It all just seems like anyone could find a way to fit the third biblical reason to justify divorcing their spouse. 😔

You missed another sign... if your spouse lands a job with a high salary. After her adultery, my wife went back to work after 20 years a stay at home mom. No time for recovery work, no time for individual work, no time to amend the hurt or develop remorse or empathy, she was too busy developing her career. As a result she found success and a relatively high paying salary with a lot of potential.
The unbelievable pain abated when God revealed to me this circumstance was releasing me of my responsibility to provide for her. With her good salary, the spousal support and settlement will be much more manageable. We never notice these things without the larger perspective. My wife's career ambition paves the way for me to be positioned to provide for my next wife, should the Lord bless me with another helpmeet.

    • @wm7929
      @wm7929 ปีที่แล้ว +3

@@Lyfe_Yasharahla I agree with you, but to be fair I have heard Dr. Clarke's disclaimers a few times that his content applied to men as well. It is obvious and well established that men are also abused, but I think men don't get the air time because it is a combination of not being as common, and simple economics; they are building a channel and speaking to their target market.
But to your point, I have heard a therapist say that women do abuse men, but it isn't the same. Her opinion is that it doesn't cause the same deep damage, the same depression, the same helplessness, it doesn't cause the trauma, etc. Her reasons are because there is a physical component, men are generally stronger, there is a power imbalance that makes men less vulnerable overall.
Are men affected less than women by abuse? I wouldn't know, I wouldn't even know how to measure it. But this was a practicing therapist and was her professional opinion. I should go research that, I remember feeling indignant but I never really researched it more...

My husband has abandoned me. Does that count for divorce? We haven’t lived together for 7 years. I want a Godly marriage. He makes good money but will never provide for me financially. He says he wants to be a Godly man but his actions never follow. He won’t let me parent his child and has placed his child as an idol in his life. Ugh, there’s so much. My heart is broken. I don’t understand a God who doesn’t deal with men like this. 😓

A comment for you; something I learned from my wife's adultery is that your spouse will do what they will do. After 7 years I can pretty much promise you that he's not going to change anything until you do something drastic. God honoring of course, but drastic. Pray about it. Pray for a solution, pray for any next steps, however small.

I knew that God had released me from my abusive marriage when: 1.) After cheating on me, devil hubby beat the snot out of me. 2.) Devil hubby got immediately on the phone, and called my father, and told him what he'd just done. 3.) Devil hubby stole my beloved cat, and drove off in our brand new van. 4.) Devil hubby filed for divorce and sent me the papers. 5.) I never received a single cent of alimony. 6.) I found out soon after that my ex devil hubby had immediately moved in with another woman; and not the woman I knew he'd cheated with. (It wasn't that hard to figure out).

A Christian spouse doesn't abandon their duties and commitments. We need to understand that when scripture talks believers and unbelievers, it is not talking about the titles and labels we like to carry in our modern world. A believer gives evidence of that belief, the way James makes it clear.
My husband has also claimed to be a Christian and yet his abuse has been destructive to our family. We must remember scripture also says, "you will know them by their Fruit", not by their labels

We turn into the marriage police. We plant recording devices, GPS trackers, and hidden cameras. We hire private investigators. We search their phone when we can. We look at the phone bill / phone records. We continue to ask questions and analyze for inconsistencies, and keep drilling in. We trust our gut. We put log monitoring on the home router so we can track online activity. It's absolutely exhausting. I'm so, so sorry you're going through this.

If God releases a person from a marriage does that mean the person can Biblically remarry? The Bible says that anyone who remarries commits adultery. Am I sinning if I remarry?

    • @Confessions089

The person who committed adultery shouldn't. The other person who remained loyal is innocent and can remarry. However, I'd stay single and heal.
Also, there's nothing wrong with enjoying single life. God calls some to singledom. 😊
