I went to this school in London and I learnt the Sanskrit language for about 5 years. It increased my knowledge in many other languages I study. It was such an amazing experience and I then went on to perform at the Queen's baton relay ceremony and at Drury Lane theatre royal in London infront of thousands of people. I also had some of my best memories at this school.

Sanskrit, Latin and Hellenistic Greek are the three classical Indo-European languages. I would like to see all three taught, or at least available, in U. S. schools. But, budgets are tight in too many school districts. Classical languages are being phased out, and modern languages limited. So any hope of having the option to learn Sanskrit is pretty much null.

    • @jasondaniel918
      @jasondaniel918 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@time machine Why is this point so desperately important to you?! If you have spent any time studying historical linguistics, you know that there were many proto languages emanating from Proto-Indo-European. Therefore, PIE is the oldest of this language family. Anatolian languages include Hittite, itself a Proto-Germanic language, which predates Proto-Indo-Iranian.
Timelines are blurred in analysing historical development of language. Proto-Indo-Iranian, the precursor to Proto-Indo-Aryan, is roughly contemporary to Hellenic languages. Hellenic includes Attic, the precursor of Classical Greek. Classic Greek is roughly contemporary to Vedic Sanskrit.

+Arslan Ahmad Prophet Mohammad had said that "I am not in Hind but Hind is in me" Not only that Prophet daughter was cured by a Hindu Jat. You must also know that there was enormous respect for Vikramaditya, a Hindu ruler of 4th century AD. A golden bowl kept in Museum in Turkey is testament to that. My own reading tells that many Buddhist monks were traveling to Saudi Arabia before the coming of Islam. There were at least 2000 Buddhist monks in Alexandria by 2nd century AD as per Strabo and several Buddhist sutras were kept in the library there before Christians burned down that university. Practice of circumabulation in Saudi Arabia is apparently influenced by Hinduism and Buddhism. Please go and try learning Sanskrit and also please go back to your roots. You have at least 80-85% DNA from Hindus/Buddhists.

You, who mostly are British but love learning Sanskrit, are here, brought the knowledge of an Indian, who taught your countrymen how to speak English ; he was consulted over spellings and pronunciations In the 1940s, whenever he was on visit to your country ; when he was aged 10 in the year 1879, he corrected a few passages in Grey's Elegy and in the grammar book by J.C. Neshfeild. His name was "The right honourable V.S. Srinivasa Sastri" - When you people love talking in the language that this vedio is all about, I love talking in the language Sastri loved the most. As regards Sanskrit, I recite slokas, but the meanings of them are by me, preferred to be read in English.

The day when whole world speaks Sanskrit is near.

Believe it or not, Sanskrit is the only language much suitable for Speech Recognition and Artificial Intelligence in Computer field. The reason is very simple. It's alphabets (Mainly Devnagari Scripts) is phonetic scripts and you write what you speak. There is no need for pronunciation for words. Sanskrit is well known for its rigid, highly developed grammar. It is almost like it can be represented by mathematical logic. The main reason why Sanskrit is good for Artificial Intelligence is that in any sentence in Sanskrit language, every words used contains hidden intelligence. For simple example - Aham Griham Gachhami ( I home go - I go home ). Aham represent not only "I" but also gives its activity as a subject. Griham "home" represent as object with something happening on and finally Gachhami "go" always means "I'''s activity or it is only associated with "I". The sentence does not need to interpolate but only gives the clear meaning also unique words associated with "I go home". This is the reason why Sanskrit is suitable for speech recognition and Artificial Intelligence in Computer field.

Sanskrit is the primary liturgical language of Hinduism, a philosophical language in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism, and a scholarly literary language that was in use as a lingua franca in the Indian cultural zone. It is a standardized dialect of Old Indo-Aryan language, originating as Vedic Sanskrit and tracing its linguistic ancestry back to Proto-Indo-Iranian and ultimately to Proto-Indo-European. Today it is listed as one of the 22 scheduled languages of India and is an official language of the state of Uttarakhand. Sanskrit literature encompasses a rich tradition of poetry and drama as well as scientific, technical, philosophical and dharma texts. Sanskrit continues to be widely used as a ceremonial language in Hindu religious rituals and Buddhist practice in the forms of hymns and mantras.

It is just an old unproven theory. The Vedas are self-explanatory. No need for any speculations. Thank you. Lion Temple Simhachalam, Bavarian Forest

Do you know that Sanskrit is the best sounding language and the most suitable language for studying computer science. I'm not saying this scientists are saying this. When I listen this I was like "what rubbish!" but when I listen the purana and Sanskrit songs I feel relieved and positive and realise that this is the language in which the upanishads, purana, Vedas, gita is written which is the way to moksha then I do a little research and find that Sanskrit has the most organised grammar. Now today I'm learning Sanskrit and believe me you will enjoy it like me. I also have an advantage in learning Sanskrit as I'm a Hindi speaker as many worlds are same or have similarity.

    That's so sweet!
People form western countries love Sanskrit because the language gives them peace and by reciting Sanskrit slokas they feel relaxation in their hearts.
Anxiety, depression and nervousness; these are some major problems in USA and UK these days. Most of the people do not have other issues like financial problem, stereotypical society as we have in India but they certainly face lots of anxiety and depression due to lack of meditative awareness.
That's why they are turning towards Sanskrit as the language is invented by saints for delivering deep spiritual messages.
If you pay attention to The Western news channels you will find most of the people from USA and UK are behaving like muddle headed, kind of psycho; they are doing plastic surgeries, some of them are changing their genders, some are doing ridiculous things in the name of passion.. the list goes on and on.
So, this is what happens if you are financially wealthy but you don't know yourself through spirituality.
The message is that foreigners are giving respect to Sanskrit , we should start learning it too. 🙏😊
    - Nikunj Narendra

In India there are many schools where Sanskrit is taught from Class 1 to 10 but hardly 2 to 5 % of the students of these schools learn to speak Sanskrit otherwise they just try to get passing marks.
The first excuse they make is that Sanskrit is very hard, second is that it is very old and not useful.
In fact learning to speak Sanskrit for an Indian is much easier than learning to speak English.
I studied in English medium school and it took me 3 to 4 years to understand the written simple sentences in English.
Unfortunately I studied Sanskrit only for 1 year 6 months (Std 6 and 7 ) and I can understand written Simple sentences in Sanskrit.
I am very unlucky that I didn't study Sanskrit from childhood.
