    Thanks for a good summary.
    One unpleasant issue with ther Mercedes is the the way it deals with cross winds. It applied the brakes on one side to bring the vehicle back into line which can very disconcerting if you don’t expect it. VW/MAN nudge the steering and is not so alarming.

    Quite informative video. It would have been better if there was a pruce comparison included along with specs. Thanks for your video. My choice us also Crafter 4M

      Thanks for watching pal. I did want to do it but decided there is just so much variation on price between new, used, spec, size and models so just decided it wouldn’t add value to the video.

    Very nice comparison, how are you satisfied with reliability of Crafter?
    I have just one question. Where did you get the ncap crash test data from? I think they haven't ever made any comparable crash tests for vans, only rated security assistants... But no real crash test. Renault master (resp. Nissan NV400, same van) was only tested like compatibility crash test versus smallet SUV. (only van ever tested in this way by ncap).

    • @abucklife
      @abucklife  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We haven’t done that many miles in it so yet to see the reliability. But so far so good. I used the ncap website for information.

    This dude exhibits a strong bias towards Peugeot, Citroën, and Fiat vans from the Stellantis group. While acknowledging that these vans may not be exceptionally luxurious inside, we find them to be the most reliable and fuel-efficient among all the vans in our warehouse. In contrast, we have experienced numerous issues with Mercedes vans, as well as with the three Ford vans in our possession. Boxer not only are known for its spacious interior but also for its reliability and fuel efficienct that is a factor influencing many professional campervan manufacturers to choose stelantis platform for their builds.

      Thanks for the insight pal. I tried to give a balanced view of vans available to us. I have a crafter myself and have owned many fords. I think the boxer platform is a great van but I have had friends with new engine at 70000.

    • @cmorait
      @cmorait 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @abucklife we already changed an engine to a Ford at 38000 and one sprinter already in the shop with a blown engine at 82000

      They just don’t make em like they used to. I think modern engines are just not as robust as older ones.

      Oooo I’m split. The crafter has a great diff lock from factory. But the merc has the head room.

      For off-road use, get the Iveco Daily 4x4 van. It has 3 differential locks, low-range transfer case, big tires, engine block heater, and other off-road specific options.

    Actually you can get a ducato/boxer/... 4wd by Dangel.
    You can also improve comfort with improved suspensions for example full air suspension
