My beloved Mom passed last July 21st at 97. We were best friends! I grew up with Simon and Garfunkel's Greatest Hits 8-track in her car. We attended that magical show in Wilkes-Barre together that night. I had goosebumps and cried then as I am now. By the grace of God I just found this for the first time. ❤
I saw them at Madison Square Garden that same year...Garfunkel's voice game me goosebumps at the line "And the sign said the words of the prophets are written on the subway walls and tenement halls." Still does. No better voice than his!
I was there that magical night, observing with awe the brilliance of these two prodigies. People shed many tears that night - tears of joy and tears of sadness. Sadness, because they knew Simon and Garfunkel is an endangered species. A once-in-a-life-time gift to mankind.
Magical is right. I wasn’t there but watched the concert video many years ago and thought- how amazing that most of the people there will count this as the best concert they ever saw in their lives.
When Paul picks it,ARTS WHISPER VOCAL KICKS IN,.Paul has a touch that has desperation and that is why Art must try so hard alone because nobody else unlocks that in Arts vocal.They are Epic together!!
Really impressed that nobody in the sometimes rowdy crowd ruined the moment at 5:01. Everything (except the cameraman 😂) froze and nobody breathed for just a moment. Chills.

You had a nice place! I was lucky enough to see them both in Amsterdam, and saw Paul in Holland 2 solo. The last time I was lucky enough to meet Paul and he gave me his autograph on my Graceland book.
