This is a coincidence. Last night I tried using a mouse & Xbox controller to control my guy on Star Citizen & I run into this. I really like the idea. I'd alter the shape /size a bit & move the buttons around if I had my way, but I might check this controller out.
Hello! I know this is an old video, but I want to ask a question. Since it registers as a controller, does that mean there's aim assist even if you're using a mouse?
Did you tried it bro? I'm new to console coming from pc I'm having a nightmare using dual shock on Battlefield 5 do you recommended this? Is it better for aiming and shooting?
Hey what's up!!! It is surprisingly good, I feel that the stick responds a lot faster than the keyboard and mouse is the same. BUT it does take a lot of getting used to! I still prefer keyboard and mouse for more control.
Hello! I just recently got this controller and it doesn't seem to be working at all when I plug it in. I have the switch turned to ps4, and the other turned to adjust. Did you do any extra steps to get it turned on?
Hey man i know this is an old vid but as someone who has only ever really used controller but is willing to practice would you say this is better than the tac pro or get this?
Hey Jahseh! Thank you for your question! I come from playing keyboard and mouse and prefer that more. The Hori Tac Grip though was surprisingly easy to use. It does take some time to get used to. :) If your happy with using controller stick with it. I am just really horrible at controller.. :)
Hey man it’s all good :) sorry but we haven’t tried using it on remote play, as we would have to plug the horitac pro in the PS4 console. Don’t know how to do that :)
What's up!!! Definitely the tac pro for FPS! But it depends on your preference, if you started playing FPS in the old days with mouse and keyboard definitely you will enjoy playing with the Hori Tac Pro more than the dual shock 4. Hope this helps.
Nice Video. Ik this is a late comment but I have a few questions. 1- Is there a headphone input? 2- Compared to a normal dualshock controller, does it benefit in accuracy and durability? 3- Is there any tips you can provide for me before i purchase the controller? I generally love to experiment with a variety of controllers but to those that have positive reviews. I'm interested & spectacle about this one in particular. It's design & layout seems complex but your review gave me a bit of hope to try it out.
I have this controller, it works very well. 1) yes, it has a headset port. 2) like most analog controllers, the rubber on the left analog may experience wear and tear depending on your usage. 3) there's an assign mode where you can remap the buttons on the controller. I have it mapped so that my left hand is acting similar to how it was on the left side of a regular controller, and face buttons mapped to the side buttons of the mouse similar to what my right thumb would be touching on the right side of a controller. This made it a simpler transition for me coming from being a console controller player. Left Hand The two left most shoulder buttons, i remapped to L1, L2. The bottom "Fn" shoulder button, I mapped to one of the dpad directions (ie, dpad right) so i can press that button without moving my left thumb away from the left analog. L3 is simply pressing inward on the left analog like usual. Right Hand For the left click button, I have it set to R2 (primary weapon), and right click button set to R1 -- a little swap but my right pointer and middle fingers still touching the right shoulder buttons. On the side of the mouse are four buttons, I've mapped them to R3 (melee), square (reload), x (jump), circle (crouch) -- buttons that my right thumb would usually be touching and in similar positioning but also now without having to move your right thumb away from a right analog. I set middle button to triangle (special) that my right middle finger can tap when needed. Of course, mouse movement covers the right analog movement of the controller. In game settings, I recommend setting your horizontal and vertical to 100 (adjust if necessary) for more natural mouse movement. There's also an adjust mode where you can further adjust dpi and deadzones. I have mine set to act similar to a 6400 dpi mouse.
Thanks Titan! 1. Yes it has 2. If you're used to play fps games using mouse and keyboard, the hori tac pro does help with your accuracy 3. Do test the controller first before you buy the product
I was thinking about getting the XIM4 but I just didn’t like the feeling of a mouse and keyboard so I just let it go until I saw this! I love the idea that I can still play with my controller and a mouse aside which I always wanted cuz I have pretty long nails and keyboard would give me hard times lol anyway but I have some questions and I’d appreciate if you could answer 1. How does it generally feel is it uncomfortable? 2. Can u use this with a xim apex does the controller act as a keyboard? 3. Is it good for overwatch cuz I do have a xim apex just didn’t like the feeling of using a keyboard so I left the device long ago so for me to move to this one I want to know if it’s worth it or is the bad reviews really true about the hori mouse?
Use steam controller settings or a program called keytojoy to use just about any controller to emulate keyboard presses, I use a xbox controller and mouse to play PC games from my couch. Bit late but I hope this helps.
@@BeyondReviews Splitfish did it. I bought the G1 (TAC Grip in Europe) but I should have waited for the FragFX. I had a FragFX for PS3 and I was quite happy with it until it broke...

Nice review. This video helped me decide to purchase this controller. Thank you.

Awesome comment! Thank you! :)
Hori also makes a nice keypad with a joystick that's way more practical
Worth it to by this now?
Do you know if will be compatible with PS5?
And can combine it with any other mouse?
Thanks!
Hail Crom
Hiya I know this is an old video but I heard this product gets lag input, did you face this problem? Also have you tried the G2?
uploaded on my birthday, what a coincedence
Happy birthday!!! 🎂🎁🎈
Hi again. How's the sensitivity of the stick and mouse? Is the same as tori tac pro? Thanks.

hi sorry didn't know whether you'd reply on your old vid but does the Hori Tactical assault commander pro work with ps4 remote play?
Hey man it’s all good :) sorry but we haven’t tried using it on remote play, as we would have to plug the horitac pro in the PS4 console. Don’t know how to do that :)

Will this work for xbox one? if not is there something similar for this option?
Hey Kamo! Thanks for your comment and question! It only works for Ps4 and Ps3.. For xbox we are not sure.. hehe.. 😀
I'm looking for exactly this but for PC - any idea if this will work perfectly? I get bad RSI using left hand on keys :(

Have you or anyone tried this on PC? I am currently using my controller and mouse but would love to have all the buttons on the left side.
Sorry Chris, I haven't tried using it on PC.
Any chance other mouse can be used for this?
Don't use other mouse, use the one provided as there are special buttons on the one provided. :)
*Intro music wackyjacky101😂😂😂*
I can't find any reviews of this being used on pc...I can't use keyboard so I thought this good be the alternative
literally just buy a controller
Does it support another mouse
help here ?
Hey, this good for fortnite ?
Very importent i play only this game ...
Planning on buying one, for apex legend, COD and to kill some cancer in gta v
just buy the hori tac pro m2 keyboard and mouse lol
This is stupid design, why not just put those buttons on the mouse instead of top of the controller
Agreed! Hehe

Can you use another mouse or it has to the one they give you ?
