When playing as Opa-Opa’s brother, Upa-Upa in the later versions of this game... The ending has a different meaning too. Because Upa-Upa uses Gold as his energy source for part weapons, this totally pisses Opa-Opa off because Upa basically stole the starting money you gave. That "Catchy Shop Tune" has been in a LOT of Sega games, such as Turbo OutRun, GP Rider, Hot Rod, Super Hang-On, and even a remixed version in Streets of Rage Remake.

The reforming scary square head boss was ahead of its time. Late 80s 2D game with 3D effects that is smoother than whatever Pulstar was? (Pulstar was good though not as good as this and the 3D effects was crude and honestly Neo-Geo is better for a sprite based game anyway)
What's ironic is this is probably the toughest version of all of them the Master system the NES and then super fantasy zone. Except that this version has the best graphics the best music the best levels it's the best one
Speaking of the master system, if you're playing this on the switch, you can enable something that causes that version's stage 4 and 6 bosses to spawn instead of their original counterparts
