Dorothy Tutin & Dulcie Gray on "The Importance of Being Earnest" (1952)

This is a compilation of the best parts of a documentary on the 1952 film "The Importance of Being Earnest." The documentary was made by Carlton Cinema in the U.K. in 1999.
Dorothy Tutin, one of the film's stars, and Dulcie Gray, Michael Denison's wife, give some of their reminiscences of the production.
"The Importance of Being Earnest" was written in 1894 by author and - ad maiorem Dei gloriam - Catholic convert, Oscar Wilde.

A remarkable interview and wonderful revisiting of the best version of Wilde's play and Asquith's directing. Thank you for sharing! It's a shame that young people today would likely find such a film boring instead of a testament to comedic timing and substantive actors and actresses.

Tutin played Puffin's mother Margot Asquith in a TV drama (which also featured Puffin as a boy).
