I hate when you get a work order to check something and when you ask the service writer why they respond the customer didn’t say, no, Mr service writer, you didn’t ask. This constantly happens.
Yeah I once mixed up cars at my old shop but luckily it was caught before any work was done to it, though after that I started checking vin numbers to make sure.
In 1978 ford only used about 8 didderent key combinations. Has a customer come into the servvice station dropped his key off with with a no start complaint for a red and white t bird with the address. The wrecker driver showed up and there was 3 of them he put the key in and turned the ignition on, than hooked up and towed the car. Later the police came by and said the car was stolen. After explaining the mixup the car was towed back and parked. While hooking up to the next t-bird the owner came out wanting to know what is going on. What's the chance 3 red and white thunderbird all used the same key on the same street
I'd say pretty good because in the '80s and '90s, things weren't much better! I had the old key to a 1985 Econoline 250 lying around and discovered it would open my 1995 Thunderbird. I've also gotten into multiple Fords using Jeep keys...
Once I mixed up two white GLA 250s service advisor wrote them both up under the same key tag. I did the service without checking the vin, ended up being the other guys car, he was looking all around the shop for it. Finished the service and realized it was the wrong car. luckily they both were in for the same A service so no harm done
These kinds of mixups happen in hospitals, clinics, and doctor's offices. It's why they're required to ask you the same questions 10 times. If they give the wrong patient the wrong treatment the insurace company won't pay for it. The insurace companies are also reluctant to pay for the lawsuits.
Blaming the service writer when a parts changer recommends a bunch of parts that have already been replaced regardless of vehicle history. Must have been working at sears autocenter.

"Check Brakes" No other information, details, nothing. Enraging.

Haha great video. That’s was funny.
That was so funny! Do you remember when you got fired for illegal videos on your work computer?
Care to elaborate?
