Truly Charlie is my favorite
Great perspective, never really thought about it like this. A friend of mine once blew my mind by saying that in any superhero film, the average members of the public, the little people, are supremely important to the story as they develop the world around the main hero/es that they're actually trying to protect. Meaning that without them, the story has no soil to plant its roots in. This is a little similar to that, there's no point in a Gang without people around them to be aghast at them.
Glad to see you keeping up the pace on uploads, hope I can match you once this semester's done.
Thanks, contrast and perspective is everything! Best of luck with that :)
So true. If there aren’t normal people around the superheroes they aren’t “super”, as in superior, to someone, and they aren’t heroes, as there is no one to save.
Same with the gang, they can’t be terrible people without someone normal to measure them against, or inflict their terribleness upon.
The guys call it 'the straight guy' in the podcast. The line that gets used over and over is 'what is happening!?'
XD
So glad u made this bc those were always my favorite scenes
Such underrated channel - it's only a matter of time before it will be another channel with million of subscribers, if you will be persistent enough. Best of luck and thank you.
Thank you so much. I think for the first time ever I’m in a position mentally to be persistent enough :)
This Sunny theory sticks with me almost as much as Dennis v Brian LeFevre. I do a Sunny series on my own channel and am always thinking about your articulations in this video.
What a lovely take, youre so underrated man.
Thank you very very much! :)
It's essentially a classic "double act" but with an ensemble cast instead of just 2 people. It's brilliant!
found you about 30 min ago. subbed. solid content. looking forward to watching your channel grow. cheers
Thanks very much!
Excellent video, great insights
This was great ! Can't wait to see more:) I'd love to know what your favourite films are
Thanks! I have some video essays planned very soon. It's hard to narrow down some favourites, but Little Miss Sunshine, The Shawshank Redemption, Jojo Rabbit, The Imitation Game, Gladiator, The Pursuit of Happyness, would be among my favourites :)
This, but change the answer to every normal character
please tell me this video won‘t be about how cricket acts like the portrait of dorian grey for the gang.
nvm I was wrong
Very good take and video. But I think it's cricket imo
Your accent is really beautiful, I love listening to your voice 😍
You’re basically talking about the voice of reason.
Many times they have outside character being a voice of reason for the scene or whole episode.
Dee was supposed to be that but since she convinced them to be crazy as the guys they alternate with that voice of reason. Sometimes it’s Dennis, other times Mac or Dee and rarely Charlie and Frank.
Take that scene where Mac and Dennis say to Charlie that they don’t want a wild card for example, and Charlie doesn’t even listen and says what they say “he doesn’t even gets us man”
Then Dennis says “we’re talking about you!!”
That Dennis line shouldn’t be that funny, if you think about it as a punchline it’s nothing special in what Dennis said. But since it was setup by Charlie’s madness the line is hilarious.
That’s the recipe in comedy shows, you got extremely dumb and selfish, even mad plus the voice of reason which kinda represents us the viewers.
I think you’re talking about that.
