  • There's a family, all with different stories and last names. It's a new type of family called a "group home" where they can stay until their original family is restored. The woman who runs this group home is called "mom" by the children. She's not just a mom in name only, she's their another "real mother".

I love that they let the older children at least go to college, before making them leave. If foster children in the U.S. we're able to do this, it would give them more opportunities.

17:10 the translation may not be so clear but the narration says “she doesn’t want the kids to feel like they have to hold themselves back when it comes to food” and that’s the sweetest thing ever. even biological parents do the opposite so much of the time. “Stop eating so much” “leave some for (sibling)”

I hope K-DOC will revisit them in a few years for an update. Neither side have it easy, not Ms. Sieun and the fellow caretakers and not the boys. Yet, they really make the best of the situation. Wishing much continued good health for everyone! Wishing a fantastic job for Eojin. And wishing for Ms. Sieun and the caretakers to receive some support.

The auntie cuddling Seongmin to sleep, his brothers playing with him, Eojin being considerate by keeping him close when they walk to school or at home are all creating irreplaceable memories for the youngest. I pray each one of them lead healthy, happy, and fulfilled lives - same for their mother and aunties as well.

PLEASE, only uplifting comments. Reflect about the hope and inspiration this family brings to the world. We should all support this new family cell which is ideal for all children who long to belong. Mom and the aunts' sincerity overflows and we can see the fruits of their labor thru Eonjin setting a good example as an elder brother which draws all the younger siblings to him and emulate him.

28:31 I kind of had to laugh because of the cameraman in the back 😂 It´s so adorable he went on the sledge (?) on his own too but struggled with staying on position 😂❤
But I love how this woman helps all the boys to growth up with love and respect. Giving them an awesome childhood which every child deserves. I hope, one day I can do something similiar too and help a child to have a wonderfull childhood filled with love too. She is my hero now 🙏💗

I didn't grow up in a group home, but did not have a TV show family and I disagree with grandpa. Please continue to resent your parents unless they have proven to change and are better people. Once you are successful, you will be an ATM to them and they will use your desire for parents to manipulate you. That does not mean you have to be bitter, be successful, but you owe them zero filial piety. No decent parent would lose a 3 month old child to the system if they were good parents, let alone beat a 3 month old. Focus on grandma and grandpa. I have family who talked like grandpa, and they never care that the bad people continue to be bad, they expect the victim to keep sucking it up. Be successful (not just money but love your job), find a nice girlfriend and have a great life Eojin!

The Korean government needs to understand that the kids leaving the foster home need some point of contact throughout their lives, so they don't feel abandoned. Getting a job, creating a new family, etc are all stressors in life, especially people accepting these kids into normal society, no long term plan seems visible.

I was heartbroken to see the previous documentary about newborn killing and orphan kids. This one restores faith in humanity. Such a special bond even if they are not related by blood.
Many Koreans will often not have children instead of adopting. Taking care of people that are not blood related to them is considered unusual. Thanks to these wonderful and brave women for breaking this wrong idea, taking care and loving these children as their own. They need to get funding to keep this home alive. Do they receive financial support from the government?
I wish I can come, help them and spend time with these lovely kids.
Eojin went through so many hardships. That was so sad to watch. He became such a nice young man and successfully build his own path.
I hope he will find a job and all of them are staying healthy and happy. Please make an update. I miss them already.
