      @blarfroer8066 4 ปีที่แล้ว +21

      Are those boxes really that rare? We have about 100 "Babyklappen" in Germany, Switzerland and Austria have some as well and there is the possibility of "confidential birth", which means your personal data will be kept secret, the child will be legally registered and kept at the hospital, a foster family will take care of them.

    • @supermelodia
      @supermelodia 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      But the police station and hospitals does that too. Right. They inform to anybody can't handle the baby, drop on any hospital, police station without question. But some mother have mental problem, desperation and will drop the baby in dumpsters and don't even know about the hospital, police station, even if they know, if the mother is mental or drugged up, will not think straight.

    • @esterlyn7604
      @esterlyn7604 4 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      supermelodia If you read testimony of some mothers who have wanted to leave their babies at hospitals, police, etc, most places have laws that force those mothers to sign away their babies in person. For those mothers who are in human trafficking especially, that isn’t an option. Even though they are being abused, current legislation does not protect victims of human trafficking and would instead arrest them. This gives mothers in similar situations an option where they don’t have to fear arrest.

    Pastor Lee definitely deserves a Nobel Prize of Peace. Also, this world *NEEDS* people like him.
    Edit: Oh..my..god, it’s been a year since I posted this and look how many likes I got. Tysm!!!! I’ve been looking at the comments for a while and I’m seeing alot of _“We need to become like him”_ replies. Let me be clear that I wrote this without the intention of ‘waiting’, but that’s fine if you understand it that way. To reply all those “become like him” comments all at once, I totally agree, there’s no time to wait for someone to do this. The will to do something like this has to come from ourselves and we have to do it now. The world is currently in a critical state and its up to each one of us to save it. Sure, we might encounter with people that disagrees with our goals and will try to let us down, but instead, let’s all be strong, lets all be there for each other, let’s alI move forward and stand for what’s right!! If Pastor Lee can do it, *WE* can do it.
    To conclude this edited message, please keep liking this message, I can feel that my opinion is getting more recognizable with every like you guys gave me and I sincerely appreciate it. ☺️Anyways, let’s all wish Pastor Lee the best of the best and may God keep blessing his wonderful soul.

    While having this is great for emergency situations where mothers do not feel they are able to care for an infant. There is still the main problem that needs to acknowledged in South Korea. People aren't just abandoning infants for no reason. Korea's negative stigma against young/single mothers, lack of education for children with disabilities, and not a lot of help for women/parents with children is detrimental. We solve this issue, we decrease the need of a baby box.

      In the USA, we have a “safe haven law” where mothers can abandon their babies at any fire station, hospital, or police station with no questions asked. Of course it’s nice to know some basic things like medical history etc. to help the baby in the future, but every time we hear of a story about a baby abandoned in the trash can, the authorities and the news reporters always remind people “you don’t have to do this, we have safe haven laws!” I don’t know why the government would discourage the saving of innocent babies. Just shows how corrupt they are.

    He is truly a radical follower of Jesus. What needs to be stopped is the stigmatization of single mothers in Korea, discrimination against unmarried women, and the selling of babies via adoptions. Those adoption agencies and brokers are trafficking babies because they make sooo much money. That needs to be stopped.
