I have used them when working croaker and finger mullet in the surf on calm mornings with good reults. Like you said there is too much shell inshore. This coming Thursday looks to be a low wind day. Not much of an incoming current at dawn so the railroad tracks at the causway should be good. Medium out going current at dusk so any drain should work. I will be at Sweetwater.
Curious why you use a uni2uni knot rather than an FG knot for braid2leader? I’ve learned to tie the FG (using a tool) and I get much further casts; because it slips through the smallest guide without any friction, such as the uni2uni. It’s a PITA knot but the tool makes it WAY easier! Just thought I’d share. Your tips and tricks are awesome! I love chatter weights but learned better ways to use them through your video! Thanks! 👊
did you try this: make a loop of the your leader and run through both upper and lower circles of your shaker, and then run your lure through the leader loop that comes out of the bottom of the shaker?if that slides up and down, then you might add the rolling that the salesperson showed :)
This definitely works! I have this set up where i modified it and added a very small float so i can freeline live shrimp w.o worrying getting snagged on the rocks. Whenever i see the float sink in the water, i try to hook set the fish and have been pretty lucky landing good size Speckeled Trout.
That's a pretty cool trick. Never seen those before. A rattle and weight in one. Pretty sweet. I'm always looking for new setups and rigs to try. Might have to try that sometime. Keep the great tips and tackle mods coming!
He's A Live.!!! Howdy Mike, I've been a little curious about those noisy thangs! I've seen them @ Buc-ee's but didn't want to waste the money. I think you spiked my interest. Thanks for sharing Brother. Tight Lines and Full Limits to Ya.! 🎣
Great tutorial couldn't be explained any better. Great for Fisher man like me that don't know really much about lures and other stuff when it comes to fishing with a pole. I'm only good at spearfishing and other things never with a fishing pole and rig ups only one style but I still catch fish so it works for me. Thanks for the great share that was a great lesson to learn bud💯have a great weekend🙏🏽Mahalo🤙🏽😊
Everyone says 3 different sizes, but don’t say the size. It’s hard to order them because even ordering doesn’t say the size. Does anyone know what the smallest size is?
Always appreciate your info brother...couple questions for you. In your opinion, does adding the loops compromise your leader line at all? Also, once you take out the loops are there "kinks" in your line? And one last question...are you using a lighter jig head and what action are you doing when you add the chatter weights? Again, appreciate the info!!
EXCELLENT!!! I am gona use rattler on live shrimp just few inches above live shrimp making him to rattle this rattler to attract fish towards him.... with cork system

Kccacio nice! I know a lot of people use these with live bait. Hoping this week the weather calms down. Today was brutal.
Exactly; the best use is in the surf for dropping live finfish down in the water column. Size of weight dictates how deep you want your bait.....
Thank you Brotha for the heads up. I will use it the next time I go Surf fishing with a crocker bait .

Greg Hinton hope you get to try them out. They work really well.
Is the line more prone to breaking with the inline knots in place?
I haven’t had any issues with it but I wouldn’t try it on a bull red either.

Awesome!! Been searching for a how to video on this product in like forever. Kool ideas 👍🏼
Hey Mike, would you say that this set up would still be a go pier fishing, if the conditions are applicable?
Robert Neal yeah, I’ve used in deeper water as well but I prefer it in shallow bay water
@@TexasFishingForce sweet thanks for the late night reply
A snap swivel i heard it bothers the fish with all the hardware if not im going to use them cause im tired of tieing nots all the time
I don’t use snap swivels, mostly because it’s just one more thing that can fail when landing a fish.
Outstanding tutorial thanks for sharing your technique.
Scott LeCroy thanks!
Alberto knot is a go to for me i used to tie the uni not anymore
Evan Rodriguez I’ve never had issues with a Uni knot, and I can tie that with my eyes closed. There are definitely great alternatives though!

HOLOHOLO SESH thank you! I definitely appreciate it!
Good stuff man! Appreciate the insight. I'll be trying the rig out next time I'm out!
Tommy Turner great, let me know how it works.
Using that method for rattles from now on.
Do you uses snap swivel on corkys or any other twich baits
I don’t, just don’t trust them.
Finally picked up a pack of small silver ones. See how it goes
That was genius, thanks!
Very cool. Also less chances for a knot to fail.
Awsome VLOG!! Well explained sir
Awesome video. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome vid brother. going to try it out

I haven’t noticed but I wouldn’t be chasing bull reds with this set up either.
