I know this is really late, but I wanted to say while I may not know you personally, i'm glad you got home safely.
Sad how even with the death of earth, humanity and wayland are still too god damn stupid to focus all their effort on simply wiping out the xenomorphs.
Why is every comic better than any modern alien movie. Its straight up gold why dont producers pick this material up

A lot of that has to do with cost and time. It costs millions, sometimes hundreds of millions, of dollars to make a hour and a half long film that has to tell an entire story. Comics, books and even tv series can do what films cannot in that regard. They can spend an entire season on one specific story where a film has to cut vast chunks of story to fit a runtime that works with the cinema's they'll be shown in. Everything in this particular episode would normally be covered in about 15-30 seconds of expositional footage in a film, often in some kind of time lapse montage.
Creating titanic struggles between space empires or a sitcom set in a single apartment takes about the same amount of effort in a comic, in a film it's a bit different...
Because most movies are greenlit by committees.
Probably because the writers think that they’re better at telling stories and some comic books sir or random novel. Probably think that they can somehow for something new just like the original alien film not realizing they should instead strengthen the original source by showing how devastating these the in the xenoph is!

Thank you Mitchell! It’s been a trip back for me too. I’ve gotten revisit the comics and novels of the earth war story and it is such a great overall story and with so many details that I think make for great topics individually too. Making these videos has been so much fun and I’m glad people enjoy them.
+Alien Theory | You should voice-over a movie trailer (or a featurette), or even a long-form advertisement for a mobile phone or a car or something. Maybe even in ads that run before the next Xenomorph movie. The mass market and the trade presses would pick up on this, but I'm not sure, what the sales would be like.
Now if Doom Guy was thrown into this mess the Xenomorphs would stand no chance

I remember hoping that this is what Alien 3 was going to be. Dark Horse's Aliens comics are awesome and explore the xenomorphs through pure imaginative stories. There are so many comics that it is a testament to the creative power house that Dark Horse has always been. My most coveted comic collection.

the only thing depressing about this video is that it is one of many sources of film material that studios should use for future Alien movies, but probably never will. The AVP arcade side-scroller from Capcom was better than the two AVP films.
What makes this part of the story even more heartbreaking is that the signals do decay over time+distance. I think it's estimated to be about a parsec or so out from Earth where humanity's radio transmissions have deteriorated to the point where they'll be indistinguishable from the background cosmic radiation. (I could be wrong on the distance, it's been a while since I learned that)

You’re doing the lords work
I can’t express how much these videos mean to me if I look back at the place in life I was in when they were newly published and recall the therapeutic impact they had on me -and continue to have on me. Without context that might sound weird, but ever since seeing Alien(s) when I was around 6 years old (circa 1996), I have been enamored with the raw harshness of the world in the movies and the unanswered questions in your head that spawn from such awesome story telling and visual effects. I always longed for more after binge watching all 4 OG movies every year from my quadrilogy or on cable and I never knew an extended universe existed until I discovered your channel. That’s why it’s all so important to me. Anyways, thank you for all your hard work. Please save and back up all your content for future fans.
I have been enjoying watching this series but I find it kinda silly the xenomorphs were able to overrun earth. At the end of the day they need one living human to make one alien warrior, which takes time through its long process of kidnapping a person, impregnating them and waiting for the chestburster to arrive. Being that they would have to take on troops with guns and other high tech weapons, their casualties would be enormous.
They could never replace the amount they would lose. At the end of the day, the Xenomorph is a great stealthly predator but its not the Flood or the Tyranids or the Zerg, its not built to make up large swarms rapidly and make millions of drones overnight, like those races.

Because the alien life cycle is meant for long term takeover. It may seam silly a slow reproductive invasive species to take over a planet, but that's the idea. It gives the aliens time to adapted and utilize survival tactics in order to out do the native and competitive species and besides once a queen starts egg lying and suitable host are gathered it only really takes a day from chestburster to adult.
I don't think it would have just been humans, a lot of animals would have been susceptible to xenophobic impregnation. Anything big enough for a face hunger to grab on to.
They found a Queen with a 172 I.Q. ....the fuggers adapt.
I'm with you. Also, the capabilities of the Humans as depicted in the comics and novels are awfully, "1980s"-ish. In reality, we'd use swarms of drones to hunt down the xenos, genetic engineering to develop bio-counters, mass surveillance would have been perfected by then, so hives would be detected very quickly. Xenomorphs are a threat to 1980s Earth, not Earth in 2300 unless Human technology had severely stagnated.
Why do the adult ones kill humans? Wouldn’t they save them for the eggs?
And what happens when all life is alien?

Would love to see a live action. Hints have been eluded that humanity ACTUALLY managed to come back in force and retake the planet through connections to other franchises that apparently share its universe. An happened later in the timeline. Would love to know how much time it took to make the kinda tech, an develop the man power required to actually pull this off and basically through im assuming heavy combat wrest control of an occupied world from a huge Xenomorph army. Not to mention see WHEN this happened roughly and how and who actually did this. We kinda see what happened through franchises like Bladerunner that allegedly say THIS happened after the events of this Xenomorphs Conquer Earth series but THAT series.. The Earth is reclaimed by Humanity from the Xenomorphs Scourge might be fun to see.
As shown in Prometheus the Xenomorphs themselves are not the biggest problem, their microscopic biological weapon particles are. It requires a bio counter weapon to neutralise that.
There was definitely a comic that showed earth been retaken from the Xenomorphs. The army came with armoured suits that withstood acid, the weapons to kill them and bionic enhancements to the suits so they could withstand a xenomorph attack. By this stage the "food" supply had gone and Alien queens were using their drones to attack other colonies both for food and safety. I think some of the main hives were hit with nuclear weapons to kills entire nests - nuke em, its the only way. Eggs waited in stasis for a new food source to arrive so the army came with flame throwers. The issue was many nests were hidden. There was no mention of the telepathic damage queens could project on other lifeforms.
@@stephendoherty8291 now THAT'S an interesting TV, streaming or Movie arc that we've NEVER seen, even Hollywood, on either big or small screen today could probably do a respectable job of showing all this if they truly tried an wanted to. That's a new one ANY of them using psyonic or anything other then physical means of attack. Seems though other then nuking an already driving to extinction (mostly) Earth. All they really needed do was flush out the Queens an end them to make wiping out majority of the rest of the occupying species that much easier. An here thought maybe some point the Predator clans or least a few might've formally met an come to some sorta understanding if not arrangement. Seeing as they didn't expect Humans to get THAT far by this point in the franchise. Least if the latest Predator movies can be believed an it's all some joint verse yet to be confirmed but planned on. We for sure could use more true to Lore such franchise material over the typical made up just plain BAD usually crap anyways

I was always interested in this part of the story. I thought the idea of the future Earth becoming post-apocalyptic due to an alien infestation was really great and underutilized. It would be amazing to see this story from the perspective of the survivors still living on Earth.
They'll probably tell you its just plain hell. Though there is that movie A Quiet Place, that's about the closes thing to an Aliens: Earth Wars film we would get.

I know a lot of people want to see a movie or animated series adaptation of Earth War, but everyone seems to forget this written before Alien 3, and Prometheus so this wouldn’t be considered canon. You’d have a better chance of a Gundam Crossbone anime adaptation coming to be. I suggest, would love for a two-part Alien movie inspired by Earth War that’s set between Alien 3 and Resurrection that ties in with Prometheus and Covenant and both that would be 2 and a half to 3 hours long.

Humanity's arrogance, thinking they can control an apex predator creature like an housepet and then losing too it. Clearly this should have been a driving factor for them, losing an entire planet to something they wanted but ultimately could not have, and yet they just kept trying and trying.

In the novel Hicks' name is really Wilks and Newt's Billy.
That was just the stupid reconning as they attempted to align the story with ALIEN 3. It was all originally written as Hicks and Newt. The retconned stuff should be burned.
