  • How to pick stocks is one of the most important questions if you are going to beat the market. In this presentation I gave for theDistrict IBD Meetup, I discuss the fundamental and technical criteria that stock market leaders share. I discuss how to find stock market leaders and high-performance stocks that will outperform the market during uptrends using the CANSLIM methodology. I provide many different case studies to help train your eyes on what to look for.

    Hey Richard - I really appreciate all of your videos. I’ve been binging your interviews and found this presentation really easy to follow. I’m just starting to learn CANSLIM and reading HTMMIS now. This is really helpful.

      glad to hear it Kyle! best of luck with the learning process. I think the interviews are a good way to see how different people have built off the canslim foundation

    Thank you as always. With the current pause in this uptrend I'm really going to take this to heart and probably give this several rewatches in between. I got stopped out of a whole lot of risk I had on the table and am now in sit-and-wait mode.

    Hi Richard, Great content and you have done well. Why is 21 EMA so important as a benchmark indicator.

    • @RichardMoglen
      @RichardMoglen  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Veera great question. 20-24 ema v simple should all be about the same area. Its just an intermediate term moving average

      You can certainly start with that. If you are just beginning I would not start with your full amount, start with just enough that losses are meaningful. Like 500-1k. You should have a written set of trading rules before you begin trading.

    love your channel richard! thanks for sharing this -- based on this video, can you please confirm how much a serious trader can expect to spend for trading tools/software? I just know TC2000 is about $500/year for gold/data feeds but was not sure how much your other tools cost (e.g., market smith).
