Why Ravenclaw House Got Left Behind in Hogwarts Legacy?

- Ravenclaw House got the least attention from the developers of Hogwarts Legacy and is in fact the least interesting House to play for compared to the other Houses. I see 2 most probable explanations why Ravenclaw was left behind with no unique content and relationships.

I played a Ravenclaw and it actually felt really natural. I'm the Ravenclaw with 3 friends from all the other houses.

But the reason I think it feels so easy to fit Ravenclaw into whatever choices you make is that Ravenclaw actually doesn't have any real character. They're the people who value learning. In a school.
I'd really have liked to see some more development of Ravenclaw as being more than "the nerd house". Emphasise the house's creativity, their wit (no, Everett throwing a dungbomb doesn't count) and interests in knowledge outside the school curriculum.
Imagine if Imelda Reyes were a competitive, perfectionist Ravenclaw instead of the Slytherin stereotype the devs went with? I don't think that would negatively affect playing as a Slytherin and would contrast well with Everett's interest in more freeform, exploratory flying. Particularly with the landing platform on top of Ravenclaw Tower.
Same. I was the Raverclaw character with three companions from the other three houses. It was honestly, the best experience.
Yes. It felt the most right to me. I could see a Ravenclaw choosing to learn the unforgivables for curiousity sake without the intent to use them. I could them being friends with the others, all again for logical reasons.
And if we want to parallel the three friends + the main character to the 4 keepers, it makes the most sense for the the main character to be a Ravenclaw so all houses could be represented using the three other companions as your fellow keepers.
But in terms of representation and the quality of the other Ravenclaw NPCs and the few unique choices that are house specific Ravenclaw got the shaft.

I was really sad Amit didn’t get more time, as I found his personality very funny and endearing. The other characters take us outside of Hogwarts most of the time. Since Amit isn’t into adventure, I think he would give great quests exploring the castle!
Amit is a South Asian Stereotype in a Trope, not an actual Character
I played as Ravenclaw and it felt right having one “main” student per house felt natural. But having Amit for example as a relationship quest would help round things out
I don’t think people should see the “companion quests” as house exclusive because they’re not. We get to meet and experience all characters stories within 1 playthrough at different times. Undoubtedly the best character development aside of your own is Sebastian Sallow. This dismantles this cultish vision of Hogwarts houses, seeing Gryffindors, Slytherins, Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws interact with each other because of their interests instead of their houses makes it, to me, better. Because at the end of the day is more about what they value most, not necessarily their content of character.

It just would have been nice to have more Ravenclaw specific things however I still loved the game.
Considering the timeline it also reinforces the kind of regression in attitude that Voldemort caused during his reign of terror. His influence was still felt long after his fall, as his loyalists were scattered and still working from the shadows.

Same… until I did the Slytherin run and you meet all the good characters.. Sebastian, Ominis and Imelda in the first few minutes
One thing I noticed is that a lot of the side quests seems like its meant to include the Ravenclaw characters, but it's gets buried under everything else. That and it makes more sense for the main story to be played by a ravenclaw protagonist.
Come to think of it, your assumption is quite fit for the story. Isidora is also a Ravenclaw.
To me the story line fits Slytherin more.
I hate how much Ravenclaw gets shafted. It's like somehow this house offended or angered someone in particular and decided to just give them no love for some reason. It's extremely frustrating too because this house is BARELY touched upon in the books. We get to know a lot about the other three houses. Why can't we get to know more about Ravenclaw and its history?
Bingo. Hufflepuff used to be looked down upon but with Cedric Diggory, Tonks and Newt Scamander especially, they've gotten a lot of love in past years which I appreciate as Hufflepuff is always the house I'm sorted into. Ravenclaw has definitely been left behind though.
in the sence of fellow student quests maybe but in the overall game its definitly not forgotten,all the puzeles and places to explore are 100% ravenclaw stuf,i gues if you dont realize that youre dont have ravenclaw eye's

At least in the books, Harry gets to visit ravenclaw common room. He doesn’t get to go to hufflepuff’s. I feel like people are always hating on hufflepuff. Even watching videos of people playing the game, if the person doesn’t know what they’re doing in the game everyone in the comments are always like “must be a hufflepuff”. And in the series, ravenclaw gets luna and hufflepuff gets Cedric who’s in one movie and dies. I feel like luna is a character a lot of people love.

I’ve thought about it a lot, and as a Ravenclaw it pissed me off that we didn’t have a relationship quest line with another Ravenclaw, but the game feels like it was designed to be played as a Ravenclaw but the devs just included other Houses to not exclude other fans. I mean, our character is a Ravenclaw at heart. They’re smart, gifted, curious, etc. Not to mention Isidora was a Ravenclaw and I was a Ravenclaw with a friend in each House.. Idk. For me all signs seem to point to the story being meant to be played as a Ravenclaw lol.
which is probably why you don't have a relationship quest with a Ravenclaw because you are the Ravenclaw.
I finished the game first as Ravenclaw and it felt organic. I represented my house the way Sebastian, Poppy and Natsai represented theirs. I think Ravenclaw was meant to be the canon house for the player character.
Nah I think Slytherin is the canon house for the player character, everything u do kind of points towards a slytherin especial Sebastian's questline.
Yeah no the story feels the most organic as a Slytherin, I played through both Slytherin and raven claw btw.
For me it feels more ravenclaw canon, all the puzzles, all the logistics and even as a Ravenclaw u can see urself being curious even for the unforgivable curses.
@@Samael1302 i just got to the part were u have to use Polyjuice Potion to turn into a specific Slytherin character to find another one which if u had been from Slytherin u would know that character and may not of needed to use said Polyjuice potion or make it easier to do the task u have to do, as i said all story bits point towards the character being canonically from Slytherin.
and dont think curiosity and puzzle solving is solely a Ravenclaw trait because it's not (in fact every house is actually pre good at puzzle solving, Ravenclaw just excels at it), Slytherin are cunning and can always find a way to get what they want so no puzzle would ever get in their way.
I did the Hufflepuff and Slytherin playthrough. Im doing the Gryffindor run now. Overall, I still think Ravenclaw is the canon house. The field guide is tantamount OCD for a blue student gathering intel on everything to get that 100% rating. I can just imagine Ravenclaws exploring every nook and cranny spam casting Revellio and squinting their eyes to see that hint of sweet yellow.
Maybe this was just me, but when I pictured Ravenclaw house, I always imagined the ceiling was enchanted to look like a night sky, like the Great Hall was to look like the sky in general. So I was a little disappointed when I saw screen shots where the stars that were described in the books were paintings.
Yes, it does feels like Ravenclaw was not on top of the list. Classmates from different houses introduce us to new mechanics and provide overarching quests, and Ravenclaw's mechanic seam to be pretty boring to my taste. Maybe it was just me, but I got pretty fed up with Merlin trials already, adding astronomy tables to the grind list did not improve my completionist mood. Compare this to stealth mode, broom raises, flying hippogriffs, caring for pets, and unforgivable curses you receive from other houses. Companions also does not made equal by level of engagement. Griffindor have literal batman in skirt inviting us to fight crime in free time. Hufflepuff have cutest mini Newt Scamander in skirt, inviting us to befriend big ass dragon and horde of centaurs. Slytherin have their own angel and devil willing to mess with your head and question your moral judgement, pushing and pulling between light and dark sides of magic. Ravenclaw's have none of that, unfortunately. Amit following us and he turning out to be not so good with one ability we need from him, everyone else have only fetch quests and couple meaningless run of the mill dungeons. Let's hope we'll get badass blue colored DLC one day 😊
How is this relevant to house?
The majority of what you just listed is the same regardless of house.
Yeah you have one companion in the same house as you but it really doesn't change much at all about their questline.
Honestly it feels like Ravenclaw was meant to be the Cannon house.
It has the most developed common room and Dorms, and a private rooftop area exclusive to the House where you get to fly from.
Basically in a Ravenclaw Playthrough your character is the Ravenclaw representative, and each companion is for another house.
In all other house Playthroughs Ravenclaw doesn't get any real representation.
@@werecoth how is it not relevant in role playing rpg? Everything I mentioned is representing each house, and you can compare the content. In my opinion Ravenclaw falling short of others in entertainment value, putting aside arbitrary prettiness of universally useless common rooms. And even if main character suppose to be Ravenclaw by design, poor fellas got robbed here too, because statistically they are more likely to come from Slytherin 😁
@@werecoth nah! pretending that raveclaw is the canon house for the MC is just coping because, if that was the case, then why they allow the player to be sorted in any other house? The fact that their common room is pretty says absolutely nothing my dude 😂 The core issue is the amount of content that the main NPCs of the game can give to you and in that department Ravenclaw is lacking, therefore that house was neglected
@@tj3603there were two Prominent Ravenclaw Kids in the game who we did not have any interaction with, and were just mere background characters. Andrew Larson and Mahendra pahlwan, hope we get to actually meet those two in the future.
Agreed. Although Natsi's quest are not that memorable, specially compared with Poppy or Sebastian's quest which are the most unique and incredible ones.
Agreed about the lack of utility of the common rooms and the very unimaginative house-specific quest for Ravenclaw. Give us Grey Lady interactions! I recall feeling very detached with the Jackdaw questline, specifically at the Owlery. Sure, it's nice to curry favour with Gerbold Ollivander, but we didn't get any additional lore and lost out on a lot of Jackdaw's story revealed in the Hufflepuff questline. *Yawn*
Still, like others have mentioned, it felt so right for the main character to be adept, rational, curious, great with puzzles, and be a Ravenclaw. I think the Sebastian/Ominis/playable character trio being Slytherclaw with the Ravenclaw mediating and planning fits their dynamic so well. Being the de facto face of your house felt great, too. I guess one time something did feel very off was when I realised none of my closest friends were in my group celebrating the House Cup win.

I’m playing as a Ravenclaw and I’m almost finished 100%. Gotta tell you that even with people saying it is the worst house in the game because of less side quests, it is still probably the best game I’ve played in my life. If you’re a HP fan, any house will make the game memorable
People lied about Ravenclaw having less side quests. Devs already responded to that. I don't where this started. Probably an youtuber or streamer started it people just repeated without checking.

I was disappointed Amit only had 2 quests for me.. if they mean less quests for you as the player to do because you’re in Ravenclaw then that’s an obvious misconception, I’ve been seeing this narrative in a lot of Hogwarts legacy content comments sections 😂
It fits in the game that the player should be sorted into Ravenclaw because the player is out to explore and curiosity goes well with it.
And you don't get any buddy quest for Ravenclaw, only for the other 3 houses which are represented by Sebastian, Natsai, and Poppy. Also, the quick broom exit at the top of Ravenclaw tower.
So I don't think this house was neglected.
you do actualy get a budy quest from ravenclaw i did it a fuw days ago, am not shure if they have more but atleast one.

He does go with us in the mine, but what I meant with buddy quest is that it comes from a student from a certain house, like, Sebastian from Slytherin gives us quest for the Dark Arts, Poppy from Hufflepuff gives us quest for beasts (golden snidget quest), and Natsai from Gryffindor gives us quest for Harlow.

if you need to learn certain spells it wil come from a certain house,curse spells wil only come from slitherine where most others can be more random.

@@atrudokht That would be a good idea! I personally like all the houses from Hogwarts and even have different characters for all the houses. I personally think my style of playing would be more suitable to my own house, Hufflepuff, but I really love the common room from Ravenclaw! I personally don't like that you can't interact with a lot of items, I would hope you could play the harp for example.
I am 99% sure that it was a time issue. Much MUCH stuff got cut like companions or moral system etc... And Ravenclaw got the shortest end of the stick apparently.
Agreed... Since it is odd that no one repremends you for using the Unforgivable Curses, out in the open. Or that you can choose the "evil" dialogue and nothing chances besides a snarky remark.
Not to mention that if you want to Roleplay as a Dark/Evil Wizard, you are going to have a disappointing time.
I always thought the XP bar fits so well with the Ravenclaw crest, since it’s blue. It just looks weird when you get XP as a Slytherin or any other house because blue is not one of their colors, but it looks so right as a Ravenclaw
I never really thought about that, but yeah, that tracks. And now that you mention it, that seems like a lost opportunity from the Devs to give each House a correspondingly coloured XP meter

As a Ravenclaw, I feel a little cheated tbh. There is so much they could’ve worked with, but for once Ravenclaw was the forgotten house. I’m just happy Hufflepuff got some shine ‘:)

All three major characters were from the "house of duffers" (Hagrid's words, not mine), who were seen as competent, likeable, and integral to the story in one way or another. The only major and likeable character from Ravenclaw is Luna, with Cho and Marietta being known as the crier and the traitor respectively.

also, isadora morganach is ravenclaw. i think she's good ravenclaw representation because she's a villain that is not driven by ambition. she was just trying to help people and study the new magic the keepers are so afraid of.
Also note that in the promo art, the player character standing on the cliff is wearing velvet BLUE robes.
HBO is working on a Hogwarts Legacy TV show. Hopefully the main character will be a Ravenclaw

The thing that disappoints me the most is that at night, the Ravenclaw tower is entirely deserted. I sometimes got the feeling that they were all partying somewhere and I wasn't invited. :(
You can't sit down to eat in the dining hall, or use any furniture, you can't use your bed to take a nap and pass time, The only other students you can ever speak with are those connected to the plot or side quests...
I always thought the new 5th year (your character) may be canonically housed in Ravenclaw. Each house have a main story where your character (ravenclaw) was the ancient magic and ranrok story. Just a thought.
As a proud Ravenclaw, my take is that the main story IS the Ravenclaw quest line, so the companion quests follow the other three Houses. Besides, we need a famous hero who isn't Lockhart.
One thing not to forget is that a game like this is BOUND to have DLC, so there is a huge possibility that the DLC will center around a Ravenclaw character, with Amit being the most likely choice. He doesn't want another adventure, but what if one winds up coming to him instead, and we have to help.
and his quests might be related to stars and their contributions to ancient magic enhancement. That would be cool 🤩

Hufflepuffs quest is obviously the best one, although I think Slytherin go the bad end of the stick there with the worst one despite the lore u get from it.

I am a Gryffindor outside of the game. But the Ravenclaw common room is by far by favorite. From the early access to the game I decided VERY easily I'd be playing as Ravenclaw, and I do not regret it at all!

I was hoping that the Ravenclaw would be our researcher, helping in the library. I was hoping there would be one main from each house, and at least one other, based on which house we choose. The other characters would still be there, but interaction would be limited, but more with the prime companions.
There's so much activity taking place far from the castle, it takes away any reason to spend time in the common room, or even the great hall. That could have been better utilized to have a reason for interaction.
That's true. I wish there were more options for interaction and decent relationship lines.
I do say yes, Ravenclaw seems to really be a forgotten house on the game. Their common room is ok, nothing to be amazed or too boring, but when compared to the other houses it feels empty, soulless in a way. Which I guess is tide with Ravenclaw's main problem which is that they dont have a signature companion. Slytherin has Sebastian who is extremely relevant to the plot not to mention his side quest has a story that rivals the maun one. You have Poppy foe Hufflepuff who is the one who teaches you most of the magical creatures in the game, and her quest line is honestly the most magical of them all (and depending on headcannon or roleplay, she could be a love interest as there seems to develop the foundation for such). For Gryffindor you have Natsai (whos side quests seems half-baked, which doesnt help making her forgettable) who helps capture Rookwood second in command and solve crimes (which she should have been the one to teach us about how to hide and move around undetected). With Ravenclaw the closests thing is Amit, but his participation is a joke since the one thing we needed him for and he was useless, and after that you never hear from him again.
Which honestly a shame really as Ravenclaw has some genuine potwntial for the characters. Besides Amit who could have helped more in the quest, perhaps even helping us infiltrate a Elf camp in disguise, so that we learn more from Ranrok's followers and flesh out more the struggles of the Elves under the wizards, or even about Ranrok himself. You also have Everett who is introduce to use a gizmo type of person, always inventing new things, he could have been a character that teaches to create maybe some magical toys and grenades to help distract enemies or to stun them and perhaps doing a team up with the Weasley boy to create throwable potions. Which honestly is a better mechanic than most potions (specially the invisibility ones, because after you learn the invisibility spell, that potion is essentially useless). Which is honestly a shame since there was potential, and it was clear the developers had favoritism.when creating the game. Either way it is an okay game, still feels half baked in some areas but the story definitely is amazing.
My opinion is actually that the main house for the protagonist is Slytherin, being that it's Merlin's house, so that was the one they developed first. They then developed the other houses, based on popularity. So, Griffindor, then Hufflepuff, then Ravenclaw. I really do agree with you, however, that the protagonist would be a great fit for Ravenclaw. The protagonist is probably MBTI ISTP or INTP: not a typical protagonist personality, but similar to Harry Potter's personality. They are primarily a thinker, not a big talker, and very curious. A Slytherin wants to know the common sense in the situation, a Ravenclaw, the interesting details. The protagonist could possibly be a Griffindor, but I certainly don't see them as a Hufflepuff. Too detached and polite, not very warm. Very, very interesting, however, which is rare for a playable character. The protagonist has an air of mystery and is not very personable.
I did notice that they tried to up the curiosity of the Hufflepuffs and geniality and politeness of the Slytherins to make the houses more of a wash, so that the MC could fit in anywhere. I have always thought of Slytherin as being polite, empathetic, and reasonable, really just excellent conversationalists. Hufflepuff being curious? I'd have to ponder that!

I also don‘t see what Merlin would have to do with this. I guess both Gryffindor and Slytherin were their main focus, because they knew most people would choose between those two. Slytherin may seem more in focus because of Seb’s storyline, but all your mentors are Gryffindors for example.
I played the game since day one of the early access and the first few days, even before people would get those trophies, the house specific trophies for Gryffindor and Slytherin were rare while the other two were very rare. Idk exactly how that system works but it seems like they put it that way manually since that didn‘t change until recently, though Ravenclaw had very close percentages to Gryff and Slyth.
They also put a greater focus on Hufflepuff, knowing that there was some rather bad reputation to counter. Ravenclaw was naturally the leftover then; not particularly popular and not particularly unpopular. And that was the problem. I keep saying I wished Alan (the game director) would‘ve been more supportive of his own house lol
(Harry is also an ISFP, not Ti dom nor Ti user of any sorts.. and I‘m not too sure if the MC is one either tbh could easily be something else as well.. I haven‘t put much thought into their mbti, especially because I’d say there‘s not much to base an analysis on. They are meant to be relatable to all players and therefor all the types after all.)
The protagonist is 100% personable and can 100% be hufflepuff. I agree slitherin is the best house for the protagonist but Gryffindor is great because it’s just like Harry’s story doing things you shouldnt be doing for the good of hogwarts (fight evil goblins) ravenclaw fits well because ancient magic seems like something intended for them. They can also go both ways as far as good or bad. With the addition of poppy and a big focus on catching and nurting Pets along with the plant attacks and planting seeds you can make a beast hufflepuff that plays the story just as a typical Gryffindor would.

It's pretty much assured by now that the game is going to spawn into a franchise. With their limited development time I feel they prioritized what was important for a game. In the future they can bring in all the other great things many of us would like to see. Things such as Quidditch, minigames, more purpose for gold, more interesting character progression, etc.
The way I see it, and what ended up being my own personal head canon, is that Ravenclaws are the least likely to go on adventures. They are bookworms. They love their books and the knowledge they get from them and are satisfied with it. Does it still feel like some Ravenclaw-exclusive conent would be greatly apreciated, sure, but less negatively so.
"they are bookworms", that's just a Stereotype, Ravenclaw house values wisdom far more than Intelligence. So I don't see how this stereotype of Ravenclaw being the "nerd" house came to be. Infact, none of the characters from Ravenclaw in the books were bookworms. Did u know the only Non gryffindor student who went with Harry and co to the ministry and fought the death eaters?? Yeah, she was a Ravenclaw.
I chose Ravenclaw because I felt it was a better fit to me, I’ve always respected wit and wisdom over bravado and recklessness which is the way courage is often translated into actions. Most of the channel’s I follow have chosen Ravenclaw so I don’t see this house as neglected!
Hufflepuff screamed "I'm neglected!" so loudly that everyone forgot about Rawenclaw.
True, Hufflepuffs loves pretending they are the most neglected, even after Fantastic Beasts, but it's actually Ravenclaw the most neglected

I didn't feel neglected. It felt pretty balanced since I was Ravenclaw and the companions were from other houses. I guess if you're playing as a different house it would feel that way.
Slytherin is the central house in the game and story, I think that much is clear, but you can have just as much fun, and experience mostly the same story elements, if you're a member of any other house, so I don't really see an issue.
I was a Ravenclaw when playing this game too. Not having played in any of the other houses I had no idea how it compared. If any house were to have gotten neglected I'd have thought it would have been Hufflepuff. Maybe the devs felt the same and overcompensated at Ravenclaw's expense.
You know what would of made a good side mission?. Giving Everett the Bright Spark Broom.
He would then challenge Imelda to a time trial race. She agrees, but she picks the location. She picks the Clagmar coast.
Everett unsure if racing there is safe. Ask the player to test the course.
You then beat Imelda final time trial and complete Everett side mission. At the same time. You then return to Everett and tell him about it. And a few days later, by owl, he tells you how his race went.
I actually wanted to pay him a broom, the one he mentions once so that he can live one of his dream.
Playing as a Ravenclaw put me in an odd spot since it felt like /I’m/ Ravenclaw questing with other kids, but I’m close to swapping to Hufflepuff just to get that bonus stuff.
I’m confused - you don’t actually get exclusive house friends. Sebastian is not exclusive to slytherin if your in slytherin. He’s just a character that is used regardless of your house and he is in slytherin.

i think hogwarts legacy would be miles better if they made it similar to the game by rockstar called bully. where you had to go to your common room to get to the next day in order to continue doing missions, which they could then use those mandatory location pushes to make the common room have more life and purpose (much like the first few harry potter ps2 games) and also making the lessons in the game similar to bully too. where you actually mix potions in mini game like ways and you have to actually go collect the ingredients. they could of made a leveling system on those things too which higher the level you are the more potent the potion is or (class specific thing). that would of made hogwarts be a vital part of the game rather than this rather pointless area you can go to occasionally.
Samantha Dale makes a better Ravenclaw companion.
How so? I thought she was a bit of a bitch what with her her attitude during Summoners Court, and is more like a tamed version of Imelda Reyes of Slytherin.

I just don’t understand the thought process of making three major storylines for three major characters all with in depth backstories, when there are FOUR houses. Surely they weren’t so naive to think Ravenclaw wouldn’t be pissed about that.

It's obvious that the game was created by fans so my theory is that the creators had creativity bias. I assume the other houses got lots of love because the people creating the game were largely from those houses. They were so excited to create stories and characters for THEIR house that Ravenclaw kinda just....fell behind
The more I think on it the more I find myself gravitating towards it does seem canon that the main character being Ravenclaw would make sense. Isidora Morganach is a Ravenclaw as well which I find interesting 👀 and if the main character is Ravenclaw it does showcase the other characters well. It did suck though on how poor Amit’s Gobbledegook was 😬 although Lodgoks dialogue there is pretty funny 😆 and hearing the voice actor attempt what would be Gobbledegook is hilarious and I think does fit a Ravenclaw just cause we pursue knowledge doesn’t mean it’s our strong suit for some so that was funny I do wish that quest with him joining us in the mines were better he doesn’t really do anything but I enjoyed exploring the Owlery though 🥹 I don’t know I feel we were represented fairly plus we got all the cool puzzles to solve and explore finding all the cool Depulso puzzles and exploring was quite a lot of fun 🥹 with the tv show coming out it could be pretty interesting to see what direction it’s gone in but I have a feeling the main character of that tv show is likely to be a Ravenclaw. I like the connection to Isidora and if you chose to finish her work that could be an interesting pathway for creative writing 🥹 so who knows but I’m excited for more Hogwarts Legacy in whatever form we get it.

Initially I was wow’d by Ravenclaw Tower. But the novelty wore off pretty quickly. A lot of missed opportunities with this game.
I got the feeling that the game itself had been rushed in all aspects. Like it have a lot of great ideas, but i don't have the feeling that they fully executed.
Definitely a lot of content was cut because they had not enough time
@@Relashio yup only quest wise restricted areas seemed silly. Hope for addons or second game after this big success they have their time to fully brought this content to life.
The grand staircase being one of them... No students in it, and it leads nowhere. It's meant to have loads of classrooms and corridors in it
I wish they add more riddles for Ravenclaw's door knocker so each time the main char tries to enter, it'll give a short scene of the char successfully answers riddle and open the door.
While other houses try to enter, they will always give wrong answers as the eagle responds "incorrect". That would be cool.
The developers knew that only a few people if any would actively chose Hufflepuff and therefore beefed them up a bit, you explained the Gryfindor and Slytherin aspects flawlessly, I do agree Ravenclaw got left behind and I would have loved an Amit side quest to complete the 4 houses but the thing is, what could you do that you weren't already doing with Poppy, Sebastian and Natty?
It would have been pointless going around all the astronomy tables with him as they were easy enough todo by yourself, I personally recon they should have combined Poppy and Amit together, Poppy's love for animals and understanding of them with Amits problem solving skills would have worked really well especially when you had to find the moonstone for the Centaurs.
Amit is not a character but a Stereotype in a trope, Ravenclaw deserves better than that
i play as a ravenclaw even tho im a slytherin (?) and i was honestly so disappointed in the lack of content for ravenclaws, yes the common room is stunning but i literally saw it for 2 seconds at the start and never had a reason to go back there again

Funny how greek mythology is still inspiring the wizarding world, as for prof Mc Gonagall's first name : Minerva is the roman equivalent of Athena, godess of wisdom, strategy and war. Knowing how much she cared about being fair, impartial, and taking the right decisions, i always though she could have been a great ravenclaw teacher, but anyway..
I still love playing the game has a ravenclaw, it feels natural being the "balanced" student, not to kind, not to evil, just somewhere in between.
@@user-sr7jg1pl4y I enjoyed it as a Slytherin, and it felt very organic during the Sebastian & Ominis quests (sad the game didn't include love stories haha). And yes, there're plenty of characters with Greek and Roman mythology names, and it's very cool. Wish we would keep them too in reality haha
Fig is a Gryffindor though, not a Ravenclaw. Although I do think he should have been a Ravenclaw. He looks and acts like one imo and when they revealed him I thought he was going to be Ravenclaw.

I played ravenclaw first and now I'm doing my slytherin playthrough. And the slytherin specific quest sucks. Ravenclaws is like here's a mystery and go solve it. But slytherin is here it is there it is meet me at the forbidden forest. If they gave us an opportunity to find the thing for scope that could have been a little cool
Lol people are complaining over nothing. I played as Ravenclaw and didn't feel like the the house was left behind in the game. They probably made the "companions" and then assigned their houses. It's not like "we need to have one companion of each house."

It has the coolest rooms and secret access on the roof from your broom from top of the tower. Also you get astrological quests centar quests jackdor need you. Helena is there and it a side quest secret rooms through curtains and doors. The Eagle quest and more. I'm on xbox X there was loads I had to fight ravenclaws in dark arts tasks. You need to try Justin you wit and knowledge to access loads of specials even the annoying depuldo puzzles and the hogwarts hidden secrets that your meant solve your self. Even secret crests means using your intelligence. Fire and ice quest. Leveosa quests. Charms and secrets.
Ravenclaw is my actual house and I think it's the best looking house in in the game with it's celestial space like design, but Slytherin definitely got the most interesting friend choice in game.
Professor fig is not ravenclaw he is Gryffindor, professor hecat is the only ravenclaw professor. Professor sharp Ronen and madam kogawa are slytherin, Professor garlick is hufflepuff, and professor fig and Weasley are gryffindor
Nothing new! The author started out with an underwhelming representation of Ravenclaws in the books which is repeated in the films, so it's no surprise that it is again repeated in this game. I'm not bothered by the companion issue in the game but i did think there was going to be something more representative than Zenobia's annoying gobstones and Amit tagging along through a fairly typical quest just to translate Gobbledegook off the top of his head. He is kind enough to give us a telescope and set us on the observatory quest but that turns out to be about on par with finding landing pads. The Merlin quest provided more challenge to the intelligence. I can't help thinking that the magnificent Hogwarts library was such a missed opportunity for Ravenclaws to have either one big quest or a series of small related quests, but instead it served primarily as a segue space to quests that could have been placed anywhere. It would have made much more sense for NPCs to need our help in researching for information and problem solving rather than sending us to steal items for them or find smelly marbles.
Regardless, I DID enjoy playing the game as a Ravenclaw my first time through and I'm planning on playing through again as Ravenclaw, now that I'm familiar with the gameplay, before switching to another house.
The Slytherin common room looks the best honestly.
The historic lore is there also name drops and ties to the ministry. Basically use your wit intelligence and revelio the crud every wear. Hell the room of requirement is rowenas room. I have many issues with this video.

If Everett Clopton was a companion the game would deserve its 1/10 score from whatever "good ally" magazine did that. Amit might have been cool to pal around with, but it's so much cooler that you don't have a Ravenclaw buddy then Everett getting more screen time.
Bruh, Everett and Duncan were the two Ravenclaws I couldn't stand ugh. I wish we got to interact with Andrew Larson and Mahendra pahlwan, but we got stuck with these two idiots

I got sorted into Ravenclaw and so chose that house, I wasn't bothered about befriending anyone in my house. I found them all bland, I do like Poppy, Sebastian and Gaunt and I like my house 😌
Looking back on this yeah I made a mistake, I do like Samantha more than the others.
Same, not to mention most of the Ravenclaw kids were so annoying, except for Amit and samantha, but both of them were very bland sooo... I wish we get to meet Andrew and Mahendra, in the future, the two Prominent Ravenclaw kids, who we see around, but don't interfere with at all
i really disagree. Poppy and Sebastian irritated me and Ominis was bearable but a bore. I agree that Samantha and Amit were alright and i think if you had more quests with them they would both be interesting
I’m a RavenClaw though I don’t mind there’s no quests with a companion character in RavenClaw because I think it’s not got any characters that I see as a nice companion

I’m a Ravenclaw and I actually really enjoyed my playthrough, I had the most fun with the trivia quest, answering all the questions was really fun and although I felt we weren’t represented too great I don’t feel like we were neglected if that makes sense? Perhaps Ravenclaws are misunderstood we are more than just book worms we have a lot of compassion for our friends to aid them with our depth of knowledge plus the combat made me feel pretty strong wielding elegant spell combos like Arresto Momentum to break an enemy shield, basic cast to damage flipendo into Glacius and then Diffendo to finish them off and other combos. I found myself wanting more of Lucans training dummy practice because I wanted to learn more cool spell combos and I had my own ideas. I’ll admit I dislike Everett the most but it’s also a school full of students and I’m sure I was probably similar to Everett in some ways at the same age 😂 I definitely would have lost some points to showing off my flying skills in a tour. I learned the Unforgivable Curses but didn’t use them, I actually found myself preferring other spell combos instead like I really enjoyed the transfiguration spell turning enemies into explosive barrels from afar pulling them in with Accio and dropping them on enemies when wingardium Leviosa was active so popping a focus potion and using lumos to loop my spell cooldowns and just turn everything into barrels creates a field of explosive barrels then of course you use bombarda and blow up the whole field 😎 it’s very exciting. I have a 10 and 3/4 inch Elm wand with a Unicorn core so having a beautiful elegant and powerful wand with beautiful spells made me feel pretty at home being a Ravenclaw 🥹 perhaps we will get a little more light shown on us in the other releases I do also think we have the best Daedalian Robes but they’re honestly all pretty cool

Even the head of ravenclaw Ronen was one and done. Or is it Hecate. Either way it felt rushed. Didn’t even see them leave the classroom yet. That’s a shame.
As much as i love ravenclaw house from the common rooms, the best house chest cloak. I just dont like the blue they gave us for the Room of Requirement. Wish there's a mod to change it.

I played slytherin on my first character cuz well…snakes are cool, but i honestly like ravenclaws color scheme more i think, ill admit it did feel like half the game revolved around green and silver…or maybe cuz i only was trying to get the 3 curses and skipped a lot of dialogue for the others idk

If Ravenclaw has no Companion, then I'm happy playing one, because I hate dragging NPCs around with me in games.
I am Ravenclaw, but I felt the game was more towards a Slytherin build, with the Merlin Trials suggestion. Perhaps it is just personal view than actual aim of the gameplay.
Me and my girlfriend are both proud Hufflepuffs, however the moment we saw the common room - we instantly decided that we want to be Ravenclaws, and so far I'm not dissapointed in my choice! I feel like Hermione or Neville - they weren't meant to be Griffyndors..One was an arrogant know-it-all, and one was a shy and unlucky kid. But in the end it's their choices that led to them being who they are

They both actually were sorted properly-- Hermione had great loyalty to the trio, bravely fought in the battle of hogwarts, literally used obliviate on her parents, ignoring herself in the process n going on a trip that could have gotten her killed.
Neville fought in the battle of ravenclaw too, went through seld-discovery to find his inner bravery, fought in the ministry.. shall I go on?

@@awhjoyy The whole narrative point of the sorting hat is that in the end you decide in which house you go, consciously or unconsciously.
The whole point Rowling was trying to make is that we all possess great values, and in the end it's up to us if we want to be someone..Anyone has potential for each trait, but in the end it's our choices and our ability to change that define who we are and who we're going to be.

ravenclaw isnt forgotten,the house is about intelegence and wits and the spirit of beeing curious and the game is full of puzzles and places to explore and telescoop places and merlins puzzles,so no ravenclaw is definitly not forgotten.
you dont get manny quest with youre fellow rvenclaw student but that has nothing to do with the spirit of ravenclaw not beeing in the game.
i picked ravenclaw because i like blue and ravens are cool,my personality i gues is more a combo of huffelpuf and ravenclaw,funny enuf i went with the house that the hat picked according to my choice and it did kind of fit what i wanted although my second playthrough wil be huffelpuf.
i have to admit though the gioblin quest where you take that ravenclaw guy is is weird its stupid that the goblin wont go in but he is right there in the open for spy's to see him,and why do you need a translator when you can just take the pages and show it to the goblin.
having said that i stil injoyed having that ravenclaw guy with me it was fun and yes if he would have gone with me just abit more it would have been nice but am happy with the game annyway

The actual reason is that ravensclaw is the least avantafe house. Maream seems like a Hufflepuff to me.
