Tim, from a seasoned full-timer. Slow your roll, lol. Daily nomad life is a never-ending adventure. It's never about a destination but all about the journey. What's the hurry? Ask God to guide and direct your path and mean it, He will.
You are experiencing the current state of the US infrastructure. Everytime you move an RV it’s like it went through an earthquake. The drive you are on is beautiful through New Mexico. The mesas are breath-taking.
Living grateful no matter the circumstances is freedom and peace ✨ Thankful you and your traveling home are good 🙂 Prayers the wind quiets and the sun warms your day!!!
Tim, can you stop at an RV dealership and get that bathroom door fixed? Also, I think you should slow down on your speed, appearing you are rushing again? Take your time and relax….as you say, it’s the journey not the destination. Hoping your day goes a lot smoother and yes definitely stay positive, all will be well. May God guide your path and keep you safe.
🤠 Ok, I do these also, for a lot of new people to Glamping/ traveling with combination vehicles. Safety not only for drivers, but motoring public. I've seen tremendous carnage out there on America's Interstates. So,early yesterday morning, the driving in dark video, I was on the national weather radar, about 6 am. I advised a few things, due to weather building to west, but at first Indian casino just into Oklahoma, I then advised resting that day + night there + waiting till today, to let that building weather go by. For people new to this, don't drive tired into heavy weather. Why??? Your not driving a Semi with a next day delivery. Don't drive into trouble. Here we go,the rest is history...😃
Cramper = No full bath +shower No lounge chairs No sinks/ full refrigerator+ freezer No hot water No Queen bed with walk-around No holding tanks/ closets etc etc etc
Tim, you have a nice travel trailer there. To each his own, but to me the simpler the better. It’s nice having the room a trailer like yours has, but a smaller trailer with no slides would be better for long distance travel. Less to break, leak or fall off. Especially with the rough roads we have in parts of the country we have today.
Absolutely 100% agree. Slides are an issue whether traveling or parked at road stops. I have always said and still say, that WolfPup he had was so perfect for his needs. Better still of course would be a sticks and bricks tiny home.
Some of the features of newer travel trailers are nice when you’re looking at them at a RV show or dealership, but when you are pulling something down the road that’s experiencing 100’s of mini earthquakes on every trip the simpler the better. Not to mention less mechanical stress on the tow vehicle and easier to maneuver around.
Unfortunately, with the storm potentials, travel through the area mentioned should have been avoided. Hopefully there is no frame damage to your 5th wheel.
Glad you made it thru Oklahoma. Transmission sounds like it is getting a workout with downshifting. Does the crusher have a transmission fluid cooler ?
Remember to stop and smell the roses, Tim. You will become stressed and exhausted if you continue at a hare's pace. Maybe find a camp host position and settle in a few months and explore an area. You might even meet someone if you'd slowed down lol Just a suggestion. We all have our own way of doing things. 😃
Our roads do need repair. So does all of our infrastructure...our bridges, our sewer and water systems, housing for our Veterans. Its time for us to focus more on the USA for awhile. What do those words mean?- "schedule", "alarm"..😊 you are supposed to eliminate those words from your vocabulary when you are retired.
🤠 I posted one before I caught the ending. Even with all the angst, directly related to driving tired in heavy building weather, this is all a long learning curve, and ya learn from mistakes This time of year, with huge hot air masses hitting cold air masses, not only tornados, but you've got to be very careful on the Great Plains especially. You're still tired, take a break, what's the hurry??
The mexican restaurants are good eating in gallup, nm. I decided to work another 18 mos, 1.5 million in retirement is not enough. Riding on the escalator of life....
Sorry to hear about yesterday. If you show the barn door and the long screw that fell out maybe one of your viewers can identify what needs to be fixed.
Good morning, Tim You would think that this current administration would take care of our infrastructure first like they promised. We'll be careful out there as the crasher is your home for now and it would be devastating if it developed other issues like leaks as it shakes rattles and rolls down the highway. Nice to see you checked in this morning. Looking forward to your next destination.
Hey Tim … Sorry I have not been in contact with you my brother in NM … I’m guessing they are in their RV wo good reception 🤷♀️ he’s old school w technology… I know they go over the border for medical stuff so might be set up in their campsite there ? Sorry
@@rhondawaldron I think that's just the way he rolls. We are all different. He will slow down. I think everyone starts out like they are on vacation and then, they just automatically slow down.
I was thinking the weather may have played a factor with your travels yesterday, tornadoes all over and bad weather, and we didn't see the usual 4 or 5 videos. Be careful Baker!
Ah, the joys of RV life. I guess it's all part of the experience. By the way, the locals pronounce Tucumcari as "Two come carry". Not much out there and yes, I-40 is a mess. We get some big wind in New Mexico, but we really don't have a problem with tornadoes.
The video flow of your content is great. Thank you for bringing along with you on your travels. Every day is certainly an adventure and we thank you from all your subscribers for bringing us along. You missed the Cadillac Ranch? How does that happen when you are retired and have nowhere to be? Sounds like a prison retirement.
He seems to like to reach a destination while not exploring along the way.
We opted to pull a teardrop with our campervan. We both snore so we each have our own separate place to sleep and its easy driving.
Need a 1 ton dually diesel for towing long term.
This won't be positive but the truth, we are sending Billions of dollars to other countries but not investing in America.
I’m confused. Are you leading a Nomad lifestyle, or moving to Arizona? You’re moving down the road pretty fast for wanting to see the sights.
Cramper better suited for this type travel
Wow sounds like you had an adventure yesterday..it will be smooth sailing the rest of the way....stay positive cowboy tim keep God on you side
LAY CLOTHES ON BED HANGERS AND ALL AND THAT WAY THEY WONT FLY OFF THE HANGERS while traveling

I am sorry, New Mexico is not really that beautiful. It's flat dusty and just loaded with weeds.
@@davidc6928 Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. In other words, it is subjective.
🤠Yep Tim, roads R rough that's why ⛺light trailer is the best for long travel like the little teardrop👍
That's why you slow down, 55 in far right lane.
Damage increases exponentially with speed.
What's the hurry???
So glad you didn’t have more damage Tim. Hope the rest of your travels are safe.

Tim you sound tired might be a good time to find a good site to
park and chill until tomorrow. Keep the Faith!!
So glad you made it outta there!
Not a good idea with slides. Can bend frame and we learned hard way-rain will get in.
True!
Yeah always put slides all the way out otherwise your inviting damage to the frame as well as leaks ..

Next time don't drive west, go NORTH. The Appalachians are gorgeous and so is New England. Even NYC is worth visiting.

Plus a big saving in gas with the smaller camper. And the money you save can go towards a nice hotel for a night !
Make sure none of those screws get stuck under the slide, they will damage your floor.
Unfortunately, with the storm potentials, travel through the area mentioned should have been avoided. Hopefully there is no frame damage to your 5th wheel.

😂
Better get that rattle fixed, it will end up being expensive.

just pull over go chill lol
Unfortunately many truckers get paid by the mile and it makes it harder to get exercise. A gym at those truck stops would be a great idea
