    Sharing a cup of tea across the ocean was fun. Loved learning more about the fashion of this beautiful tragic woman. In the US, people have told me wearing white pants after September was wrong. On a sunny day in winter, I don't care and do it anyway. Have a beautiful summer. I will visit home in a few days. I can hardly wait to smell the inside of a Café or bakery. 😊

      Thank you Sabine , yes I alawys wondered why so many people are dressed in dark and brown in winter and white in summer, when it is winter or autumn you would need more light and colours.... That's interestingthat white pants are not welcomed after September in te US, or yes I can imagine your excitement! a beautiful end of May to you and a good journey to Germany !

      Yes, when I was a kid we were told not to wear white after labor day. I hear now its ok to wear it.

    I am so inspired lately to play with my wardrobe. But not Marie-Antoinette is the inspiration (or maybe a little ;-) ) but you yourself dear Laetitia. 🙂 ... and even though I have always dressed in my particular personal style, every now and then other beautiful human beeings, such as yourself, give me new ideas and are inviting me to add to my wardrobe or look. I have been sewing and recycling skirts lately, with lots of ruffles and lace. I think it looks so stunning under dresses and skirts. And I think the sleeveless vests/ corsetts are so flattering as well. I got myself a black one, which ties in the front, and a jeans one, with buttons. I now combine the petticoats with dresses or skirts, blouses or T-Shirts and the vests. I love it so much. And the fact is, it is flattering on all kinds of shapes, skinny or more volumptious 🙂. It always makes a good figure. Thank you so much for your beautiful videos. Every time they come out, it is a special event to me and I enjoy them soooo much.
    Huggs from Fairy Tale Cottage, Schurwald Forest, Germany. 💖❤🌹🌺

    I bought the book after you mentioned it a few years ago and it’s indeed a very interesting testimony about the queen’s outfits. My favourite colour name was « cuisse de nymphe » but now it can add « puce effrayée » to the list😊

    • @Merveillesenpapier
      @Merveillesenpapier  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      yes "cuisse de nymphe" is very poetic too, all the puce nuances are really fun we should include them more in our modern vocabulary and use of colours! :)

    I learned something new, I did not know Marie's dresses did not belong to her. It is alot like the clothes an actress wears in a Hollywood movie.

    • @Merveillesenpapier
      @Merveillesenpapier  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes it's a bit like that with actresses or those who wear a special dress for just one night and give it back to the couturier or the creator after the event .
