This is the case for a lot of high concept sci-fi/fantasy/horror movies. Watch the movie and form your opinion, that's what matters the most.
Probably the problem is too many (new) characters.
@@yolooo5081 What do you think, Guardian's of the Galaxy, Marvel Avenger's, Avengers AOU, Endgame, Ant-man and the wasp were doing yet they all made the big buck's and got great reviews.
I think most of the criticisms of the film were valid. Especially since it has so many characters and lore that is foreign to audiences who aren't familiar with them in the comics and from their reviews, I'm not sure the movie handled it in the best way. I'll watch it anyway when it's out.
It's actually unusual for critics to dislike Marvel movies (cough craptain Marvel cough) , atleast that what i saw in Rotten tomatoes.
Being different/new/fresh/ambitious don't make a good movie. No one can live in good intentions. Being different is nothing worth, if it's still bad. That's why the star wars prequels are still garbage. Ye, they were creative and new, but not good. Seems like that's the same case here.

Early reactions was positive when the movie premiered worldwide. But the reviews was filled with mixed reactions. Some people liked it, some people didn’t. That doesn't mean the movie was bad or worse. This movie gave us unique style from MCU. Rather than just judging it, try to enjoy it if there's something to enjoy

@@HieuTran-mm5xt the film represents people from all over the world yet those who criticized the film are mostly straight white people. they just think that something not centered on a white saviour is bad. The film has a much serious tone and has some moments of reflection. And no, it doesn't have the usual humour of MCU. And all the critics that said bad stuff, they all made their complaints on Rotten Tomatoes, same source that rates Josstice League 88% so you know how stupid this is.
I adore how everyone says that despite this film being the lowest MCU film critically, they're still excited to see this one. I'm proud of all you guys. The love for these characters really are eternal...

I know nobody can make a movie that everybody likes. But I highly doubt that this movie is as bad as the critics say. Love how passionate the director and cast n crew are. Definietly gonna see with my squad. Let's GOOO!!!
Script was written by 2 guys, who wrote one single movie before. Not mention the story is entirely by them. I can definitely see this being a total clusterfuck. They try to introduce 10 eternals, their life's, their motivation and their relationships. A very very huge task, a task you could easily fail in, especially when you have no experience in writing movies. I am very excited to watch it and to know if critics were right.

A few critics were really racist. The New York Post saying that Salma Hayek should’ve been another angry latina stereotype in Eternals is probably enough cause for reason why Brie Larson was so right about lack of diversity in reviewers.

The blatantly obvious dye-job in these promos isn't helping (from the sounds of it, it's for a tv show, but still). At least in the movie he has that weird-looking grey streak.

I'm Eternally waiting to see this movie, it looks so good. And I'm glad that the MCU took a different pace with the film, really will make it stand out from the rest of the films. Apperently many don't like when the MCU changes the movie formula.

By means of these 7000 years olds, I hope we get a different perspective of looking at us humans, our naive conflicts, and our world as a whole. To get a deeper insight into existence itself and how living in a world with these fantastic beings feels like. I can only imagine who life was thousands of years ago and whether it was better or worse than what we are living right now.

Definitely recommend reading Glenn Weldon’s review on NPR if you’re finding the critics on RT insufferable. This film feels different and critics are asking for the traditional MCU formula when often times they’re asking for new films without it. So definitely don’t listen to those critics on RT all.

Feels impossible for eternals be a unpopular film, the movie does look like the most fun action pack film to watch for thanksgiving.
It has very very very few action moments according to early reviews as compared to other mcu flicks

I heard some reviews that said the problem was they didn’t do the character building scenes right. Since you have so many characters and such little screen time, you kind of have to rush through character development

What's the point of the whole movie is going to be about only Sersie and not Eternals, it's not a team movie, Sersie is the lead in it, basically it takes away whole team theme when whole movie is centred around one character, they are comparing it to Avengers and how they are now the new team, but it's very clear that Marvel is going to forward with only Sersie. Really expected something different from eternals
