Hi Kim! Your room is amazing! I just have a suggestion for your ironing cart. I have flipped my top shelf upside down and put my die cutting machine on it. I’m sure your iron would fit perfectly and wouldn’t cause any worries about melting the plastic. Sorry for the unsolicited advice but thought it might help you or someone else reading this. Thank you for sharing your room with us. Lots of wonderful ideas for storage!!
Wonderful space! I've been cleaning out my shop all last month and finally starting to sew. I've gotten rid of so much stuff that I just know I'm never going to use in my lifetime. And then, I've eliminated projects that my fantasy self thought I was going to finish, but the real Nancy knows better. Out they went to either the thrift store or any friends that thought they were worth saving! Love your channel. Sewing a Maison Fauve vest for my oldest granddaughter. She's 21 and teensy tiny. It's been a fun sew, almost like sewing doll clothes!
Yep! When I started this channel, I was an empty nester and was so thrilled to finally have my own space for sewing in the smallest bedroom of my house. If you look back in my channel, you will see that video. I actually hate the reason I now have this big space (widowhood), but while trying to move forward, I decided I didn’t need two living spaces by myself, so I turned the living room of my down-sized house into my beautiful room. I consider it a blessing from God given to me in the middle of a pretty dark time. God is good ALL the time. Psalm 16:5-6
@@dorothysdaughtersews Kim, my sister's husband of almost 40 years passed last June after a 20 month battle with pancreatic cancer. He was a worship pastor. They met in seminary. I made a video last month when she was here in Ohio from Mississippi for Christmas. Her two daughters and their families came up too. In the video she shared the things she makes, including two pillow covers she made for her daughters from their daddy's neckties. God knows our days. The verse they claimed is Psalm 16:8. The last line says, "I will not be shaken." God bless you, Kim ❤~Nancy
Your room is so organised Kim it’s amazing - everything to hand. It puts my sewing room to shame, I have been trying to reorganise bit & pieces but have to admit there is a lot more to tackle & it’s not a serene sewing environment - hence not done much in recent months. I must tackle it again but have been concentrating more on sorting things out in the house etc. Thank you great video Kim & I love the idea you a look out of your window at that very special tree.❤❤❤
Thank you for sharing your craft space with us. I am just in the process of updating mine and yours is very functional and inspiring. I'm saving it to watch a few times because there was so much to it I will need to see a few times. I'd love to see the Circuit things you've made or make in the future. I'm very interested in exploring that and adding it to my craft room too. Also need a new more comfortable chair and like yours.
I really want to get those prints for my sewing space. I cant find them on Etsy. They are so uplifting!! Can you help me track them down????? Thanks for everything Kim❤
Firstly, I love the memorial tree. ❤ I also love your craft room which is airy, uncluttered and very well organized. Good work! Did I miss where you keep your paper patterns, or have you gotten rid of most of them since you started using a projector?
What are the dimensions of your space? And silly me, I thought the fabric you showed was all you have…I should have known better! I often joke that I could open a fabric store. Perhaps you could too?
It is 20x24 - it was the living room of the original house. A family room was added, and I certainly don’t need two living spaces for just me, so I made it my dream sewing room❤️
Love your sewing room. But I especially love the view from your window. No snow!
There is a lot of snow now, LOL. We thought we were getting away with a mild winter, then this week-- BAM!
I love your memorial tree. I have a three trunk white birch in memory of my hubby.
What a wonderful sewing room!
Beautiful room.
Thank you for sharing your sewing/craft room. You’ve organized it beautifully. It looks really functional and attractive.
Thank you so much!

Love your sewing space. Where did you get your wooden serger thread holders?
Love your sewing room Kim!
As if you needed a "K" to know whose room this is!! 😅
It used to be kind of a joke at our house. I would put a K in my leftovers, and then Kevin would claim them because there was a K, LOL
I really want to get those prints for my sewing space. I cant find them on Etsy. They are so uplifting!!

I have file cabinets in my garage for paper patterns. I have just that one cubby full in the house.
Thank you for sharing your room. Got lots of ideas. What did you use to mount your projector to the ceiling?
