Car isn’t really bad, but at 200+k miles on the clock, it’s just questionable enough not to beat on it..but at least parts are easily available and quite a few mods available

TOM. As an owner of a 6th gen charger this video makes me so happy. This car is gonna be able to do whatever you want it to. I recommend a few things. 1. 200k miles is a lot. Open up the engine and check for wear or concerns, especially the lifters and the VALVE SEATS. If those look good, go ahead with some Eagle generation heads, get some shorty headers, a 6.1 intake, and make sure you fool with the coolant and radiator to keep this car cool. It hates running above 250°. 2. The gears in these chargers are pretty long, an easy way to wake it up is by getting a shorter rear gear ratio. 3. Spice up the interior. Replace the speakers, get some SRT seats, and you’ll have a fantastic daily driver. 400whp, comfy, and smooth. Maybe some new wheels and tires because the factory ones are fugly.

Good find and buy. Do a few quick and easy upgrades , have some fun and then move it on to next owner and you can find and build something better, cooler and more worthy for time on your channel. Another fun and cool episode that has us thinking on ways to spend time with a few close and likeminded friends.

i’m about to buy my second vehicle, this time i have to go searching around for it. my first truck i bought was in the family so i already knew i wanted it. but now that im looking around i’ve gotten the mind set of “what would tom say about this? is this a price tom would pay for?” i’ve got one that’s worthy. but i want to thank tom for raising me and teaching me what’s cool, how to properly modify a vehicle when your not big ballen and what i need to do so i can lay fat burnouts just like him.

if you ever prep this car for boost, you can buy an adapter kit for the hellcat supercharger that will fit on the 5.7, you'd probably have to change the rear end out to handle the power better tho, but would DEF be a sick upgrade

I had a blue 03 Silverado ss like that but with 22 rims and a modded exhaust but unfortunately it was stolen in november of last year, it was my very first car, so im glad to see one like it on this channel and ill def drop a subscription!!!
As someone who bought a school bus and converted it to a toy hauler, I can highly recommend doing it. They're awesome.
This is how I used to find cars. Drive around the hood and find old broke down cars and buy them. I would get old caddies and Lincolns for a couple hundred dollars usually it was dumb stuff. Waterpumps, fuel pumps, distributors. Simple stuff and drive em til the wheels fall off
An easy upgrade for the early hemis is to swap on the late model Eagle heads. They flow better and they don't have the valve seat problems
