I ordered the 36 because I wear 36in jeans with a belt as well. Ended up going with the 40, as I got to try on a 40 from a friend. I wasn't worried about it being a little big because of the velcro straps. I'm happy with the 40.
I'm looking at those Legend pants now and they're $140 on sale. I guess I missed out on your deal. They still look good. Anyways my question to you is that I also have Forma boots and IMS footpegs. Do you have any problems upshifting with that combo. My boots are always hanging up and I have to tweak my toes in to shift right. I'm thinking of extending the shift lever about 1/2 to 3/4 inch, but I don't want to overstress the shifting forks internally. Any thoughts of a solution.
thanks for the review definitely gonna get a pair. Tired of having wet legs when I go riding in the puddles. Do you know if they are pretty much water proof?
They are not listed as waterproof, so with a long ride in the rain, you would eventually get wet. I’m sure the shed water to a certain extent from the knees down for a standard days riding & bashing puddles.
... Thanks for the video. I have the MSR Voyager pants and jacket. ... th-cam.com/video/TzQ4a1hMNRk/w-d-xo.html ... You are 100% correct in the waist fit. I have a pair of HD red suspenders that keep the pants up in place. Yes, the bottom snap can difficult to find and snap. Overall I really like the set. CRF 300 Rally owner Jeff .

Appreciate your review. Good detailed info on the features. Much better info than the RM video! Really appreciate the real-life info on actual sizing.

Like you I normally wear a 36 in pants, but seeing as I wear moose padded shorts I’ll go with the 38’s, thanks for the informative review.
Please comment again, let me know how the 38’s work out for you.
Just ordered some. Hope they are good.
I’ve warn them on 2 wet & muddy rides, did well , nothing broken or ripped yet.
No knee pockets for knee pads? Deal breaker...
They have neoprene knee pads built in.
