I really enjoyed this podcast! I have never been to these events, even though I have lived in NY most of my life! It was wonderful to see it through your eyes!!
Your sweater is so pretty. I love podcasts because I get to see the garments in action which gives me far more information than static photos so I know what you mean, but to be able to see them physically would be the ultimate. Such fun thanks for sharing 🥰
Could you get a rift tee out of 600 yards of that gorgeous silver sport yarn? Jacqueline Cieslak's pattern is great and doesn't call for more yarn than you've got for the first 2 sizes! ps loved the philosophy of 3d projects shown in static 2d. loved all of the pondering!
Very cool hearing about Rhinebeck! I'd love to go there sometime. I went to the Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival this year in October and it was really fun! It was really big with tons of vendors and animals, but I think it's not as "viral" as Rhinebeck so it doesn't get the same kind of online attention. I would recommend it though, if you're looking for something similar and closer. It's about an hour drive from Portland. I took two friends who aren't even into yarn or knitting and they liked it a lot too.
Oh nice! I haven’t heard of that one, but I love any reason to make a PNW trip! I am planning on doing the Rose City Yarn Craw again though. It was so fun last year!
@@Lily_curatorial_knits That's how I found you actually! I am planning to do RCYC this year and I had searched for people who had talked about it. I had just started knitting last January and it was too overwhelming to consider. But now I am ready and the tote design this year is super cute! I used to live in the Bay Area too, but now I live in Portland. Haha it's a cliche but a lot of us are up here now.
My daughter and I went to the Guo Pei Couture exhibit on Friday at the Legion of Honor - it was unbelievable! As much as I loved seeing the exhibit, I couldn’t wait to get home to watch a TH-cam video of the garments being worn by models on a runway. Your mom is right- the movement adds another dimension to garments created. Thanks for a great podcast!
Thanks for sharing your perspective of Rhinebeck. I've noticed on other Alpinglows in podcasts that the yoke puckers a little. It may just be the pattern and not your yarn.
Lily, I just love the color choices you made on the Rhinebeck sweater you are wearing! Thank you for sharing your trip. Really sounds wonderful!
Thank you, Alice! That is truly one of the most joyful parts of my knitting process and I love having this vibrant community to share with! 🤗

Thank you, Gayle! 🤗
What a thoughtful podcast! I really enjoyed getting your summary of the Rhinebeck events and am planning to go in 2023! Thanks!
You are so welcome, Casey! It was a wonderful experience and I can't recommend it more!

Great episode - love the yarn you bought at wool and folk. It was a great event! Your observations are spot on!
Thank you, Mindy!
Hey! Just recently found you, and I live close to you-so great to see a knitting podcaster local to me!😊
Love our NorCal knitting crew! 🤗 Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the recap. My mom and I are planning to go next year!
Loved hearing your perspective on this. Would love to have more "in person" situations with my "on line" friends for sure!
Yes 🙌 it’s such an interesting moment for ourselves and our community! I love connecting with folks all the different ways!
I love your new haircut!
Gee thanks! ☺️
