- In this one I talk you through some tips on helping you know when to turn and where position the truck on the road.
My previous video on cornering in a class 2/category C vehicle: • #53 - HGV Tips: Corner...
As a long-retired Police Officer who formerly held a Police Grade 1 Driving Certificate, I have to say that this is, IMHO, your best video yet! The teacher in you really came to the fore, and you explained everything clearly, calmly and succinctly. I sincerely believe that your future lies in teaching HGV drivers and driving. Beautifully done!
Well said. Being also retired Police Class 1, I was with Hayley every inch of the way. They trained us well in the 70s didn't they!
Thank you Perry and Merv. All the best to you both 😊
Completely agree with that.!! 👍
I’d just like to point out that the salary for a permanently employed HGV Class 1 driving instructor appears to be around the £30k/year mark. In terms of take-home cash I reckon that’s little more than £1600 a month, assuming an employee is putting at least £100 a month into a pension. Less than £20k a year isn’t much to live on these days. If Hayley’s future lies in teaching, I hope she has the courage to set up her own training school. That path could lead to a reasonable income after a few years of building the business. I hate the fact that talented and good hearted people are so under valued in this industry. They literally have the public’s lives in their hands. A bad day on the job could lead to a student capable of terrible destruction behind the wheel of a 44 tonner. On that note, it’s my big test today! Many thanks again to Hayley for giving me a valuable training resource. I watched it again last night and I’m just about to hit play again. 👍🧠🤞
Hi I would like to join with you for a day
As a new driver, actually let me rephrase that, as a HGV learner driver, the emphasis on using your mirrors to see where your trailers is when using roundabouts and corners is a massive help, absolutely loved the video. Many thanks
This video should be shown to every car driver. Really well demonstrated 👍
Haley,👍 you're a natural teacher would make a great driving instructor.
Thank you so much for this clip.
IV been driving farm equipment since I was 16, had my HGV 2 for 20 yes+ I'm a newbie to class 1. Only passed last December and already done over size ect.......but I'm still able to get my 36' ridged in places where I'm still struggling with artic......
Your video is as perfect as you can possibly get....and very well talked through too.
Hi Hayley, I just wanted to say thanks to you for this video. I passed my C+E test (which I went straight for without doing Class 2 first) in an artic last week and believe that this video helped me a lot. 🙏 I first attempted it 2 months ago in a Wag & Drag and didn't find that at all intuitive, despite the training organisation telling me it would be easier for someone with no LGV experience. But the worst thing is that I couldn't find any vids on here at all about how to corner a Wag & Drag successfully. But, even when I was training on the Wag & Drag (and searching for instructional videos about it), I watched this video and you just made it all seem much more intuitive. So, after failing first time, I took a break from the learning/practicing & got a job driving a 7.5 tonner for a couple of months on my grandfather rights, finally taking the C+E test again last week having changed to an Artic and found it much easier in almost every respect after watching this just twice. You can walk tall through life, knowing that you've made a difference to other people's lives.
Bless you! 🙌
You are very talented and calm truck driver.
I am impressed. Greetings from Poland.
When you said you were going to turn left from Raynor Rd onto Cannock Rd I thought to myself, "She's doing what?" That was the last thing I expected to see!! Well done, Hayley. Superb tuition there.
I regretted that, haha
Great video Hayley. I'm an ex HGV Class 1 driver. I lost my HGV licence due to a chronic heart condition. I now live in Wales but I am origionally from West Bromwich. It's good to hear someone with my accent. Your video really did bring memories flooding back to me. I enjoyed it very much. You are an excellent driver. One small critisism. Please don't mind me mentioning this but I noticed a lot of crossing of the hands on the steering wheel. Apart from that you did a top class job. Accept my good wishes and I look forward to watching more of your videos.
(30 years of HGV) Perfect explanation. Guided by your trailer wheals. Its hard to explain until you get used to it but that's how you do it. excellent video.
I took my test today and passed with 2 minors. I failed the 1st attempt 2 weeks ago. My single major fault was the cornering- not taking the roundabout wide enough and cut someone up. With all the lessons I had I never really understood the positioning for dealing with roundabouts. Then I watched this video...Boom, There It Is!!! It made so much sense I was astounded that I had not been taught like that. It really is simples! Well, I'm starting my career on Monday, July 11th with a large trucking company in Spalding. No looking back now. Thank you Hayley. You really should do this as a career. I think it's the teacher in you. I should know because I was a classroom teacher for years, then 18 years as a car driving instructor in Peterborough. I retired in 2020, thanks to Covid. Now I'm a professional trucker (can I say that?) Any way, thanks a real bunch, Hayley. Will horn when I go pass you :-)
I passed first time with 3 minors. 2 x hesitation and 1 control.
Having my 3 driving lesson today in Peterborough too, yesterday we tried to go through lincoln road, which was fun)) any tips you can give maybe?
after you failed your first test did you do any extra training? I've got my first test on Tuesday after 7 days training and I'm not to confident, I'm hoping I'll be able to book an extra day or two training before my retest if I need one, I cant afford another 7 days training.
@chamb0 how did you get on?
Thank you Hayley! Passed my C+E test yesterday no faults! This has been very helpful and a great insight along with your other videos and assisted me greatly to perfect my cornering which I was having some trouble with this past week. You're a fantastic instructor! - Chris.
Great video, as always Hayley. As a new pass, I found the advice about "turning when the kerb disappears" especially helpful. One thing my instructor brought to my attention was that, in an artic, you're sitting either directly on, or even slightly ahead, of front wheels. Once this clicked in my head, it made a huge difference. Coming straight from a car, this definitely took some getting used to!
Shit yes you are. I think that’s going to help me
Hi Gazza, just noticed your comment about coming straight from a car. I’m booked to start my course next week to go to C+E straight from a car. Would be lying if I said I’m not fairly nervous. Just wondering if you have any pointers or tips? Thanks!
Hayley, you will make a fine driving instructor, your very calm and professional.. The quality and content of your videos are excellent. You are an excellent role model for newbies and a great ambassador for the industry. Thank for making and sharing these videos , i really enjoy them. Bless you.
Thanks for the kind words 😊
I just wanted to drop a comment to say thank you, your video and the way you explained everything helped me pass my class one last week 🙏🏽
I am just going to have my class 1 training and exam next month, fortunately, your content helped me a lot to focus ahead. Thank you so much for taking the time to educate others👍🏽👍🏽
About to complete my class 1, I’ve jumped straight from car to arctic and this video definitely makes sense with positioning. Many thanks 👍
Thank you Hayley. As a retired life time HGV driver, you were faultless in your driving and a great help to someone about to start. You were as good as our driving instructors at S Jones Aldridge.
Thank you Hayley, watched this video last night, and your explanation of turning an artic is about straight lines ,and when you said to watch the kerb disappear , suddenly made it click into place for me.
I’d done three days of training and it all went well, but there was still a mental block regarding when and where I should start a turn.
Did my class 1 test this morning and passed 👍🏻.
This video definitely helped me, you’re a star.
I'm going for my CE test tomorrow, that was really helpful and useful video. Nothing beats experience, but it is still a good insight into the things you need to be aware of.Thank you.
Just passed my class 1 today! Don't think I could've made it without your help/tips. Thanks very much Hayley
Amazing! New pass and got a tesco assessment tomorrow....really good points! Having just gone through it myself I can confirm you definitely have the mentor/instructor magic going on!
Hope your assessment went well? Thanks for the kind words 😊
@@TruckDriverHayley didn't quite work out .... bloody reversing....will get there, eventually!
Yes, you will. Everyone starts off the same. Sometimes I wished I could've just left the truck where it was 100 mi from our yard when I was struggling. Now it's a piece of cake. You'll get better I promise 😊
Thank you Hayley - it's very nice of you to provide all this information and I really appreciate your time and love for us - I am a beginner and this gives me confidence ❤
Thank you for tips Hayley, I just passed my HGV theory (96 points) and CPC part 2 (46 points), and now Im just waiting for money needed to start practice part (Im going straight from B to CE). You are one of those youtubers who inspired me to change completely my career.
Wish I had your confidence going from car to artic
Currently doing my B to CE and it's quite the challenge. Definitely going to do some class 2 work first when passed for a bit. The main problem I have as do others doing the same course is your anticipation from distance... In a car if you see other parked cars you can creep up behind whiz round and your done... Not in an arctic.. you need to see it slow, indicate right, potentially stop etc
Congratulations on the passes so far 🎉🎉. Thanks for the kind words. All the best for your practical training when you get your chance 😊
You can apply for training on the government's skills boot camp who pay everything to get you upskilled and into your first job, all costs are paid by the Department for Education, i have been sponsored by the CO-OP who have a job for me on completion.
Ave done the same as you. Went from class B to CE . Passed the CE 3 weeks ago. Started with a company and out on my own for the first time tomorrow
Hayley thanks for the videos 😀This one really helped with my C+E practical test .Passed first time , keep up the good work 😃🚛🚛👍
What a great video, that’s going to help a lot of people. Very well explained. I can see a future HGV instructor in yourself, and in my humble opinion a really good one!
Totally agree as Hayley's helped me pass today
Fantastic video and extremely well explained. I have my test coming up in the next couple of days after passing my 3a yesterday. I'm so glad I found this video, not least because I've been doing my training along these very roads. You've just got yourself a new subscriber.
You are a fantastic resource for newly qualified HGV drivers like me. Thanks for the upload.
Very informative video Hayley, thanks for taking the time to post it. Had my 2nd artic lesson in and around a busy Irish town on a miserable Monday evening in December. It was interesting to say the least as some of the junctions would be tight in a large van! And while my instructor was great it was a lot to take in while trying not to flatten a string of cars in the fading light and worsening weather. It was great to sit back and let a professional such as yourself take me around a similarly tight route. You have really made it look easy!
Hayley. That was an excellent tutorial, straight out of the Police 'Roadcraft ' manual. Complete Concentration combined with Planning and Anticipation. I use the same techniques when driving 14metre coaches, cars and motorcycles. As you will know, the same System of Vehicle Control works on all vehicles. Well done.
This is the 3rd or 4th video of yours I've watched, excellent content, very helpful! I've been driving coaches for 8 years but will be starting artic lessons in the next month so these are great! 👍
The best hgv tutorials are made by a woman. Now we can expect the best baby sitting videos by a man.
I'll take that as a compliment 👍🏻. The best chefs are mostly men these days. I thought the kitchen was a woman's place? 🤔
Thank you for the the HGV tip videos you've done Hayley. I'm currently waiting to start my practical training for my C+E (going straight from a car) in June, I play a lot of Euro Truck Simulator so I have an idea but your tips have helped to no end, especially the reversing an artic, always had issues with that in the game, hopefully all this all make things easier in the real world!
What an informative video Hayley. This is the sort of thing that a lot of car, and probably, van drivers need to see and learn from and gain an understanding of what truck drivers have to contend with. 😍👍
I've watched your journey from school teacher to now with admiration. I'm a newly passed Class 1, so this was marvellous. As others have said, this is your teacher training coming to the fore
Thank you. Congratulations on the pass. All the best to you Rob 😊🎉🎉
Hi Hayley - Thanks for your videos - so helpful. I've just started my practical training and so far have had one day in a rigid lorry. Tomorrow I get into an artic for the first time so the roads of Hampshire are dangerous from around 12 til 4 pm. Your videos are reassuring me that it can be done and I can pass my test next Tues. I found it reassuring to hear you say that turning an artic is easier than turning a rigid. Also, thinking in squares and straight lines when you turn rather than in curves is really helpful advice. I feel I'm going into tomorrow's training with a head start already which can only give me confidence. Thanks Hayley. Keep the videos coming.
Sue xx
Only hgv driver ive ever seen who actually stops at a roundabout, well done 👏
this particular when to turn style video is very useful to people the week they do their hgv course. as you only get 4 hours a day and watching a few hours of cornering in tight situations is like an extension of the lesson. more of these in different places. great camera angles too
This is one reason why I quite like 2-to-1 training (2 pupils, 1 instructor). It seems like worse value than 1-to-1, but you get more hours per day in the truck, half of it spent watching what the other pupil is doing. You can analyse what they are doing and think about what you would do in the same circumstances without the hassle of actually having to drive at the same time.
My favourite TH-camr. I love the way you explain things. Your students must have been very lucky to have you. Thank you so much for all your efforts and help. Please wish me good luck on tomorrow's re-test. I failed first time due to blocking lanes on two occasions while approaching roundabouts. According to the examiner, this wasn't necessary. As a result I spent all day trying to drive around in my car like I would drive an artic - not the best idea as at the beginning I was causing quite a lot of confusion, so I had to start relying on my imagination. But it helped me to get more confidence in my own judgement and more local knowledge. During test there was also an issue of misjudged distance which caused oncoming traffic to slow down while I was going around parked vehicle. Stress ate my concentration. Hopefully tomorrow will be successful and I will be able to start enjoying my childhood dream. Thank you once again. All the best.
Good luck tomorrow, I am sure you will knock it out of the park 😎
Thanks very much for your kind words. I hope your re-test went well? There's a lot to remember but once you get used to it it's easier. I would have never been brave enough to go from car to artic so if that's what you're doing you have my admiration!
@@TruckDriverHayley thank you. It went well and in less than two weeks time I'll start my first job as a Class 1 Driver. So happy and worried in the same time. It's completely different reality to drive 44t artic in comparison with a car but, as my neighbour says - challenges make us going forward.
Was told when on class one lessons always place the cab so the trailer is where you want it to be . Whilst most motorists give you room where needed there are always those who would benefit from spending a week in the cab !! Great video 👍
I really enjoyed watching this as you explained everything really well, you would make a good class 1 teacher
Hi Hayley
Great video - the object starting to disappear is a great tip along with watching your trailer wheels. The tight left turn at the traffic lights when you had to stop was really good as it showed you need to do this sometimes. Watching your headboard was a good reminder & taking things slowly invaluable.
I am finding that as I drive about I observe the lines other drivers take to help me with the lines I take.
Thank you.
you've actually explained it better than my actual instructor :) thanks
Start my class 1 Monday. I had my class 2 for a while but haven't driven for years. Great tips, thank you 😊
Once again, thanks so much, Hayley. So well explained, filmed and executed. Really, really helpful and inspiring.😃
First class information. I read Perry Hampson's comments and wholeheartedly agree with him. Thank you for sharing and taking the time. I'm on the road at 1pm today, after miraculously passing my Mod 3a on Friday.
True truck trainer in uk... Realy love take classes from you Ma'am. Sooner or later I will be in uk as a truck driver.
Hayley you are bloody brilliant, and a natural born teacher!
Good, you make it look easy. I’m a 54 year old gas engineer with knackered knees and a broken spirit. Over the coming year I’m looking at hanging up my pump pliers and doing HGV training, starting with rigid but moving to artics. Watching this gives me some good tips for all the stuff the will be coming my way. Thanks for the video.
Keep up your good work Hayley, you can handle a lorry,no problem, you show them.
Hello there, first I’d love to say thank you so much for this video, yes it helps me a lot as I have just failed my artic lorry road test and I’m new here in Uk never drove a lorry,
The reason why I have entered a small roundabout even the right side upcoming traffic car was already stoped for me , second is I have failed to see a 3 cars was stoped in front of one recycling truck was blocking the narrow road I was on , waited for the traffic to pass towards me and then clear and when I moved I was shock that there was 3 cars who have just arrived and obviously stoped before that recycling collection truck and they had to move back for me but still the examiner had consider it a reason to fail.
I love the way you explained the steering, you are gorgeous and so calm explaining,
Love from Cornwall
Got my class 1, 3b, on road driving test today and this has helped a lot! 😁 Thank you!!
Hailey, I am in the same boat as others in your comments. Failed my first attempt at the driving test for class 1just about 2 weeks ago. Having found your video, I will watch it plenty of times. I wish trainers or teachers all had to learn how to teach before they attempt to teach. You are a star and I am convinced that your simple and clear instructions will get me through. I will come and tell you when I do. I haven't got a date yet, but hopefully soon. Thank you. I think the overthinking has a lot to do with it. My main fail was a van decided to squeeze on my right on a left turn and I had to swerve left to avoid coalition and that is when I mounted the kerb and damaged one of those black plastic cones. SIlly me. I most not panic.
Thank you Hayley, the camera set up with the nearside mirror is great! I'm going for my class 1 week after next and these videos are a massive help. Keep on trucking thank you for sharing! Another one I watch is Chatting with me in a hgv - mad bolton lad brill driver!
Failed my test last week and got a re take this week due to touching a curb coming off the roundabout,
this video has been very helpful seeing how last minute we can steer coming off the roundabout.
Thank you
I'm just starting day 2 of my class 1 and this video has been great. It's great the way you are nice and calm at the same time as explaining what you are doing.
Oh, and they are called 'hatched areas' just for further videos 😂
Many thanks!
Instant subscriber. Not seen any other videos but this was soooooo helpful. Just working along the thought process of each turn with you .
I'm just starting out for my LGV apprenticeship, currently revising for my theory and hazard perception. Watching these videos really help me get an idea of the driving style I'm going to be doing when I start driving myself and what I've got to look forward to, so thank you for posting a brilliant tutorial on cornering👌
Best wishes with your apprenticeship. Thanks for the feedback 😊🚛💨
Fabulous videos, helped me pass C+E today after failing last week due to poor positioning - thanks Hayley, your explanations made perfect sense to my 52 year old female brain!
I have just done my first day training in a arctic, this has been very helpful hayley 👌
Hi Hayley, passed my class 1 off road today. Got my on road a week friday. Watching this vid has helped me no end. Managed a very tight left today with no curbs. Loving every minute! Thanks so much. Keep the vids coming. Jez.
I'm Soso from south african just want say thank you so much for these videos we are learning
Brilliant driving skill Hayley,I'm watching you.
So much help for being on the road, been shunting trailers for past 5 years but taking the leap onto the road in the next month, very good watch 🤙🏻 thanks
Very well explained. I have been behind the wheel over here in Canada for 15 years. Once again very well explained. love your channel
Im going straight to class 1, passed every test bar module 3b. I have 24 hours plus test booked in May. Been following you for 6 or so months Hayley. Really appreciate the effort you put in for your followers, and have found your videos helpful. Had 2 hours assessment drive in January and the instructor used similar methods to yourself. Aiming for signs at junctions ect and turning late. 👍
Was not told what to aim or forgot when had my exam so I failed on that bit.
Good luck for the re-test if you haven't done it already. You can do it 😊
I’m currently in the middle of my lessons and my biggest issue so far is my road position! I’m hoping this sinks in and I can take on board how you’ve explained it😊
Former female cop here (Australia 🇦🇺) just got my medium rigid licence to start as a bus driver. Not driving rigs like yours but the concept is the same. Everything you said in this video is exactly what my instructor taught me. So I’ve subscribed and will be using this video as a reference. Excellent driving and narration, thank you! ♥️
I sat my HGV driver assessment today to determine how long the course will be and the cost. Done okay with the wagon going forward, but it’s crazy the things you need to think about. Done a reversing drill and I failed which has added 2 days on to my course lol. 6 days overall. Going to watch your video’s. Really enjoy the way you explain things etc. Brillaint
I have my class 1 test this morning and this video has been great helping me plan on how I'm going to drive, so thank you.
Passed my car to class 1 today and this video helped me ... thanks great content.
Congratulations on the pass 🎉 🎉 🎉
I like to see you driving through the streets. Actually i make the driving licence here in Germany. I see the roundabouts are similar narrow than here, too. You explain it very well to get through the rabouts. I like to drive on the left side. Maybe i will visit GB again to try with a lorry. Would be interesting. I wish you good luck in the future.
Thank you so much for this video, you helped me get through my test this Friday just gone, me and my instructor did not get along as he was always shouting at me and always putting me down whilst driving with him you helped me so much thank you
Congratulations on the pass 🎉🎉🎉 Glad this video helped 😊
Well done Hayley, these videos are fantastic for people like myself who are just getting in to the industry. Going through class 2 training at the moment ( watched the class 2 turning video!) with a view to class 1 in about 18 months or so. Have asked all these questions so great to see it actually being done here with the tips needed. Thanks again.
Best wishes with it all Rob 😊
This is exactly where I’ve been trying on Friday, all up round bush bury
Did the reversing and uncoupling on Saturday
Can’t wait to get back in the hot seat Monday 😁
Brilliant videos Hayley keep up the good work 👍
You are brilliant Hayley.
Im a rigid driver currently doing my class one training. Although I feel having been a rigid driver helps in many ways, the one downside as you say is getting your head around turning when in an artic. I'm quite daunted about this, I know will come with experience but obviously want to pass test first time (!) so am finding your videos very helpful.
Your tuition and videos are superb thank you ever so much and best wishes, I look forward to watching your other videos and maybe do some ADR training with you at some point! Cara
Excellent video there Hayley, as others have said, the teacher in you comes out when showing us this stuff, it's evident that your ambition to be an instructor are realistic.
Thank you Mike. All the best 😊🚛💨
I,m an experienced rigid driver who occasionally does a bit of artic work and i find that focusing my attention on the headboard of the trailer and away from the unit's steering axle helps a lot.
Well done Hayley, As an Ex. HGV driver I can appreciate everything you explained in this latest video, I truly believe that you would have a great future in instructing future HGV drivers, you have such an easy way of explaining the technique of driving Big Vehicles. Lovely Job.
Starting my on road training tomorrow, this has clarified a lot for me, I like having some knowledge before going into things and this has helped alot
First session done, this video is absolutely spot on, instructor was impressed with my performance having never driven a trailer before, 10/10 video
I wish you was my teacher , very good ! I learnt more from this than my instructor
This has helped so much! Going from class to class 1 hopefully end of next month and I’ll be watching this and other videos, thank you!!
Very smooth. Really helpful refresher as I haven't driven since passing a year ago. Your future is as an instructor :-)
Low hill, Bushbury this a Wolverhampton test route for class1 / class2 I did mine around it. Cracking place to learn. Great video.
I enjoy watching your video clip on HGV driving tips, I will start My driving practical training on Monday 30th September 2024, thank you for your contribution it means so much to me.
This has defo helped as my instructor never really explained when to turn and what to look for exactly in coordination to the front of the truck into a corner..
One of the best videos I've seen great set up is really informative. These are great tips for my test in a few weeks. Thanks for taking the time. 👍
I love the way you're teaching these techniques❤
Great Video Hayley. Passes couple and reverse today and have my straight to Class 1 road test on Thurs. Your calm talk through is perfect, I think you've found your next role as an instructor!!!
Good luck. Fingers crossed
Thanks konrad
Thank you. Hope it went well? Congratulations on the reverse and couple. 🎉
@@TruckDriverHayley Hey thanks for the reply! Unfortunately bad news this time but you can't always account for those other muppets on the road! I've another go next week so hopeful! Really enjoy your videos they have inspired me to go this way!!
You are a star ,,Big Thank You for doing video's on how and what to do on a awareness and obstructions planning and control to avoid cutting corners when i turning and roundabout Thank you again you the best
Thank you hayley, I've got my test in the morning and must say you have just helped me. Thank you
I hope it went well. All the best to you 😊
@@TruckDriverHayley hi hayley, thanks for your reply. Not only did I pass but I'm also in my first job transporting for lidls out of exeter rdc. So happy 😊 your videos helped alot
Haha this video has answered all the questions I've had regarding turning and has taught me what one needs to do on a tight road section...that left-hand side mirror just does the magic for me. Thanks Hayley and safe journeys as always!!!🙂🤝👍👍🙏
Köszi 😊
I have my test tomorrow morning in Liverpool. This video is so helpful and hopefully ill give a good drive tomorrow.
Good luck 🤞🏻🤞🏻
@@TruckDriverHayley x2 majors and 4 minors. Got myself in a pickle when pulling over to the left.... tried to drive on with natural. Was taught to take it out of gear when pulled up... but a friend of mine explained after she wasn't taught that way and she passed 1st time. Then I over turned so didn't keep to my lane and prevented a bus behind and motorcycle on my right. Very frustrated with myself but it's a good learning curve. Hopefully go again in September. I made the error with 10mins of starting my test so I knew I'd failed.
I did give a good drive except those 2 Majors. Your video definitely helped so thank you.
Sorry to hear. That's unfortunate! I was also taught to put the hand brake on and then the truck in neutral - but I did mine in a manual. I didn't think the autos had to switch to neutral because you are not stopping for long? Never mind, it's a learning curve. I failed both my class 1 and 2 first time. At least you'll go in next time knowing what to expect. Good luck for your retest. Try not to be too disheartened - you had a good drive other than those. Remember that 👍🏻
I think this videos going to help me I’m in for my 3b class 1 on Thursday. Struggling with cornering a bit my Iv had 3 half days driving and 3 half days to come. All the available test routes by me include a lot of villages and a lot a lot of roundabouts. I’m trying to soak in all the info in this video. I find your instructions very much more informative than the guy who I’m out with. He seems to wait until iv cought a kirb then say “see shoulda been further over there” I’m like cheers mate ffs
Glad it's helpful. I hope everything has gone well for you 🤞🏻
Excellent video, very helpful. It’s great the way you’ve set up the cameras, it’s very effective. Top notch quality on every level! I’ll probably watch it again as prep for my class one test later this month. Thank you. 😊👍
Your channel is probably the best. Always clear and real advice. I'm new, working for an agency driving 7.5t. I'm getting annoyed at myself for small mistakes. I keep clipping bits of the trucks, nothing major but its bugging me. I think its just practice and getting used to it but still frustrating. I did manage to do a three point turn down a dead end with literally 6" space front and back without hitting a thing and also had to reverse it for half a mile down a single track road, which I'm proud of but still this little clips and clonks are affecting my confidence. I've just started my class 1 training but doubting myself. Everyone tells me they are easier to manvure but I can't see it
We've all had clips and clonks as you call them. You'll get there. The class 1 really messes with your heard to start with but if you persevere you'll look back and it'll all be worth it 😊
One of my fav videos .thanks for that educative tips . very nice Hayley
Hi Hayley this v helpful I failed last week 3 minors 1 serious trailer wheel up on pavement! Examiner was really explanatory re my control steering error so should get back on the horse and re book test 2 weeks time. My nerves were so bad and have never made that error before 😮
You are an inspiration with all your vlogs many thanks wish me luck 😊
This is a great explanation, thank you.
Start my class 1 training end of this week and take my test a week today.
I’m really looking forward to it, but was looking for advice before hand.
I did my driving assessment in a class 1 and got good feedback from the instructor ,I’ve had a few years experience driving 7.5t so wasn’t that phased to be honest. Fingers crossed I don’t get nervous on the test.
I find this very helpful just before my exam. Thanks a lot
