Having conducted Maria's silent films scores on many occasions all over the country, I am always moved by audience responses to the films as brought to life by the richness of Maria's music. There is such a variety among the thematic elements, and always something extremely interesting, and often dear, to hold onto and to take home with you.

I love these silent film scores. It's such a genius idea! I probably would never have watched or even known of these silent films if it had not been for this collaboration.

You sound like your brother David a bit haha. Well done on the silent film scores, it's one thing to compose but clearly all Newman's have a knack for creating worlds.

I have loved writing for silent film and getting to "know" our pioneers in film from the past! Thank you, Sonny!

I am right with you! Our history is exceedingly important to keep alive! I feel like I have learned so much from the making of these films. Some really great things, and other more troubling elements from the past that we must fix for the present!
