The Hollar Homestead is by far the easiest Homestead family to LOVE. Real, honest and no drama, nothing fake ....We love Meg, Ben and all the kids - and the small star "Buggie"😍
I see why Buggy likes to help Meg in the kitchen she gets to lick all the good stuff off the lids, and spoons yum! Plus she is learning amazing kitchen skills from her very talented mother. Love the Hollars❤.
I really got a good chuckle out ofBuggy when she put the cherry juice jar down after drinking the remains , she had the mark of the jar… Cherry juice all over her forehead . 🍒🍒🍒 Delightful and good to the last drop.😊
I love watching your children. They take part in every aspect of daily life, from digging, to cooking, to washing dishes, and then dining together as a family. It’s heartwarming to watch.
you don't have a puppy to clean up food you have Buggie. It takes time to build and the foundation is one of many important steps. This is such a wonderful event for everyone. The nicest thing is everyone is involved. I can not imagine having so many people view my work then tell me what I should have done. 95 % of the people only wish you well and enjoy sharing in your lives. So Ben the builder lets build the family way.
Wow you summed that beautifully. I can’t get enough of watching this amazing family. I’m from across the pond. But what I’d do to enjoy some of megs amazing cooking 🙏👏👍
Yes, Ben vlog the way that works best for you. We will follow regardless. I like your work ethic and how you teach your family the best way to build correctly. Even Buggie gets involved. 😊 Meg, those cherry cheese dainsh looks delicious. I do have some canned cherries...maybe I'll make some for the grands.
This is why I love your channel! Real life. Not fake. You take us with you through your day. Your boys and Buggy bring so much joy to so many of us. They are the cutest!!!
This is gonna be so much fun to watch. I remember watching when you got it your home and redid it. It's gonna be a fantastic, I'm amazed at what you're able to do. It's always over the top . What I love is that you set a dream, You set a goal and make it happen.
I adore that you let your daughter help you make the Danish. Sure it would be faster but the wonderful memories made and skills acquired. You are such an awesome mom. Blessings on the new building. Everyone working together ❤️
Right now you are living your life, but I can tell you for a fact, you will get to your older years faster than you can even believe. At 79 I often ask my wife how we got here so fast. And while a lot of us enjoy sharing your adventure thru your youtube channel, you are going to have a heck of a "scrapbook" to look back at and reminisce when the time comes! Thank you for sharing it with us. We love you "guys"!! I have a cat named Bella and when I built my retirement Studio/video editing suite up the hill by my house, she was always my inspector lol! I was 74 at the time and it took me a year because I did it mostly just she and I, but we got it done with a little help from one of my sons when we did the roof work. (this was my second studio. the other much bigger, but I was also much younger lol! Took 4 years to build that one because I was still on the road entertaining at that time.) Love you guys. I sort of revisit my younger years with you in a vicarious way thru your adventures. A lot of your adventures remind me of some of mine. ❤❤
None of us are perfect and the Lord is still working on us, so seeing you learning something from the beginning shows people that you are human too. Keep up filming the good and the not so good. God Bless all of you.
Meg, your smile and face have such a brightness to it today as you talk about doing something special for your family. The love you have for each other all ways does come through.
You both are so smart & talented couple, no wonder ur homestead keeps flourishing, all the multitude of skills u both have!! Born to be homesteaders and most importantly it saved ur marriage and family❤️💕❤️
I love watching the building progression, the baking and cooking, the chores, the harvesting… it’s so soothing to watch and calming. Love the kids when they’re on camera and it’s ok when they’re not. What a help they are! Megs tummy growth is so adorable! Love all of you!
Meg - what a family - the boys take over the cooking while you go to your appointment. So they will make great future family dads able to cook and do construction.😄
I like that you show learning and how you do things even if it’s for the first time. I feel it’s more real. To those who complain and are critical I wonder how many are experts? If you ask for advice or other ways to do things then not a drama. But when ppl are rude or tell you to do better. Well I’d love to see their houses
I'm going to miss your regular videos. This happens with everybody I follow. But you are right it's a hard thing to do. So I will be grateful for whatever you film, I really enjoy your vlogs so much
Love watching buggy helping, tasting and learning! Meg is killing it with two of my favorites, cheese Danish and steamed dumplings!!! Both, I'm sure, are delicious! The guys all building the addition will be quite the accomplishment, building character and self esteem. Look forward to your videos no matter how you shape them.
I like seeing you and your boys ( and of course Forman buggy) work together. They will take extra pride in the build because they did it. And in years to come, they as well as you will have wonderful memories.
Ben, you are so much more relaxed and ready for this build than when you redone the mobile home! I think you were feeling the urgency to get the family out of the RV! It's easy to see how happy you ALL are with your lives now and we love to watch! Thank you for sharing it!
Wow, already some of the holes for the addition are dug. More digging. That cherry cheese Danish you're going to make Meg sounds not only delicious but also cheery! Those look wonderful! Buggy was so cute helping. That's great that the boys put on the egg wash and baked them for you! Great that you got your rectangle is set and congratulations on the very close measurements for your diagonals to show square. Thanks Ben for saying you can just film it in a more leisurely way. I'm glad you decided to do it that way. Yum, steamed dumplings! It looks fine Meg! Thanks for this video Hollar family!
When I saw the back yard, it sure looked like all the "Boys + Buggy" have put a lot of sweat equity into it. Those darn roots can take hours to haul up. Good on you for taking this on before your next precious little one arrives. Buggy's new "DO" is more than noteworthy... I've seen those steamers in shops, but have never seen one actually working. Thank You for a great gift giving idea as well as something new to try out. And last but not least another "cameo" of Millie. She is such a pet and she loves her people... Just think, soon she will have another little person to supervise. Love You All...
Holla Hollar Family!!! Thank you for sharing your family building experience with your TH-cam viewers. We are all benefitting and learning while watching you enhance your family's happiness!!!
I'll watch any vlog/video you put out in whatever order of fashion you want to do. You do you!! Your build will be wonderful, I'm sure. Meg, those baskets can be a little tricky. Miss Buggy sure is the cutest thing with her sweet innocence and willingness to help out.
Those pony tails oh my....just the cutest baker's helper, taster and soon to be narrator! Danish looks delish! You must be glad you had 4 boys to help with all that work! Pony tails needs a little sister now to share girl stuff with!
I love pastries. I’m convinced that, God willing, I make it to heaven, heaven smells like a bakery. I made chocolate chip muffins this afternoon. I could eat one of those danish all by myself. Peace.
Even Meg's so-called "accidents" look good. Your cherry/cheese danish looked so good that I went to my freeser and pulled out my strawberry/cheese Toaster Strudel from way in the back buried under who knows what. Mine was delicious so I am guessing that yours was out-of-this-world. And I like your plan for filming and presenting The Build. Excellent video as usual. Soon, Buggy will start actually cooking and also doing daily farm chores on her own and making her own videos on "Growing Up Homestead."
Your family makes me wish I were young again and living a life like yours. Thank you for doing TH-cam, allowing us to live through you folks! Buggie is adorable! Tell her I love her ponytails!
Meg, love the braids. FYI, yiu can also cut the atripd on the diagonal, and then when you fold them over, the criss cross each other and give you a more braid-ish look (like a fish tail braid). Yours is more modern though😊❤
I love your videos, they are so real life. I like seeing the fails too. So many videos out there share how to do it perfectly, but the world isn't perfect. When I watch your families videos it feels real instead of staged. This video was good with the cut to what was happening in the kitchen. I like when you show both parts. Meg, I will definitely try the pastry, if you want to have more of an angled braid, try cutting your "wrapping fingers" on a angle. It will cause your dough to naturally angle down at a more "braided" look. But the look yummy the way you did them too.
I see why Buggy loves to be in the kitchen while Meg is cooking. She not only gets to sample everything but she also gets to lick the lids, drink the last drop out of the canning jars, catch whatever falls on the counter, and biggest of all she’s learning. So adorable in the pig tails. The extension is coming along nicely.
Meg, I’m in Minnesota and we’ve been having beautiful weather here too. It was 58 degrees yesterday. Been breaking records everyday. Ben is really a jack of all trades. So knowledgeable.
Watching your videos brings a smile to my face and warms my heart. Buggy is my kind of baker...drinking the juice from the canning jar and licking the inside of the lid and scooping up the cream cheese from the counter. I LOVE cherry cheese Danish so am definitely going to try this recipe. If I gain a ton of weight, it will be Meg's fault....LOL. I hope you all are blessed as much as we are blessed by sharing your family's journey through life.
She's a Kitchen Machine - A Culinary Goddess - I dont know the statistics - but - from what I hear, it's like 85% or more of young women today CANT COOK - let alone can, clean, do the Home Economics Gig
The tree stumps that you left in the ground are going to start sprouting and growing. You need to get those removed to avoid problems in the future !!!
Blessings for yalls continued progress in the wonderful parenting skills all y'all exhibit. Prayers for a safe pregnancy and healthy baby/s. And a safe build with no injuries. My granddaughter is also Bug/Buggie (Bailey Mae), 6.5 yrs old. She lives Jesus and reads her Bible almost daily. I have so many great times to thank God for. My hubby of 48, passed 3 years ago after yrs of fighting 2 kinds of muscular dystrophies. So, it's a weird life without him, but Buggie fills my life with so much joy only felt when I became a grandparent. Love watching all y'all. Blessings, julie
Love, love, your videos like always hard at work Ben Meg and family😊 you are very beautiful amazing woman, Meg, very good mother and wife and an excellent cook and then is it all-around good guy in your kids there are absolutely respectful and very well-behaved children love watching your videos. Love your family.😊
Hey, well done Meg, Ben and children ❤ I will be happy to watch anyway, the way you film it doesn't matter. Everything you do in your vlogs is very encouraging for me, trying to build self-sufficient life for my family. I have learned so much from Meg about cooking: new recipes and also ways to make cooking easyer. Ben, I truly understand your frustration about the filming and working. It's hard! You don't feel like filming and then you are sorry non having filmed 😂 and then the feeling that is this enough for a vlog... I make sometimes a puzzle video, when I only have a little footage. That means I put voiceover on some parts or film an intro for it or some clips to fill the spaces. I think the hardest thing about filming a daily vlog is: you have to concentrate in two things. In planing your filming and doing the project... Anyway, I just want to say: I watch every vlog you post, they give me a ton of hope, ideas and advice. They also give the sense of this life as a prosess, ups and downs and makes me also feels a bit more normal ❤❤❤❤ 23:53
Boys.....great to learn construction things. You will use those skills your entire life. Consider yourself in trade school. Also, continue working in the kitchen. You have some great parents and teachers. ❤❤❤
I'm so happy about this series Ben and Meg, I can't build a thing, that's not where my talents lie. I sure do love watching things being built, from the French Quarter in Nola, keep on keeping on!!!
Your family is beautiful. I have tiwn boys all grown. 2 girls 3 boys. Enjoy them . They grow so fast. Buggy puts a smile on my face every time. Love your videos. ❤
Appreciated the Podcast today. Not everyone has a good day everyday. Saying men can’t whine (complain) is like saying men don’t cry. Wrong! Jesus cried! So looking forward to the expansion.
Oh, Buggy is really growing up, her "AHM" sounds just like regular one, it used to be one of the funniest things in your videos:))) I start my days with your videos and I'll miss them, but it' s reasonable thing to do. Good luck with your building, God bless!
What a great video! Great content from Meg and Ben. Meg, you are such a great example of how to teach a little to cook. We love how willing she is to help either in or out of the house! PS..the boys are amazing too🥰
Meg, your dumplings look delicious and the danish looks fun to make. Good idea Ben...one video a week on the build. Your entire family are very talented and hard-working, even little Buggy!❤
The “Galloping Gourmet” used to say that you DO serve new recipes to company: they will politely eat it and you won’t have to eat the leftovers if it isn’t all that tasty! Wisdom!
Who don't love dumplings! And that Danish looks so good. Ben you and the boys are well fed after all your digging and homestead work . What else is there in life? ❤
Whatever works for y'all. I'm grateful you share your videos for us to watch. Any progress is good progress. Because even if something goes wrong you learn from it. I love watching the progress. ❤
Buggy is so adorable. She reminds me of my daughter. Always by my side in the kitchen and even would take opportunities for yummy treats like licking a spoon or getting dropped cream cheese on the counter 🙃😋!
We have had beautiful weather as well and I really want to put seeds in the garden. I'm not going to because they're calling for snow next week... I'm with buggy, I like cream cheese. 😂. It's ok to show learning, everyone has to learn how to do new things.
I admire the abilities, fortitude, perseverance and fearlessness of you and your whole family. It's like there's nothing you can't do! God bless & thank you for sharing!
great job mom and dad youve raised some hard working kids! thoes boys are becoming men wow how they grown, time goes by so fast ,cherish all the time you have with all of them.
Buggy is a little star, a wonderful actress very conscious of the camera. The danish looked delicious but too many carbs for me 😵 and sugar is evil. Ben (and the boys) are doing a great job getting the foundations set properly level and squared off. What great work experience for the boys! Very enjoyable video, thanks for sharing, it so appreciated.
Baking this time of year was big in my family. Valentine's Day was my aunt's birthday, and we made decorated sugar cookies. We froze extra dough for Easter cookies later. My grandmother made cherry pie for President's Day.
The Hollar Homestead is by far the easiest Homestead family to LOVE. Real, honest and no drama, nothing fake ....We love Meg, Ben and all the kids - and the small star "Buggie"😍

Are y’all still friends with Rhodes family? Sorry I haven’t seen your channel in few years!

Ben...do what you can when you can and how you want. We all love seeing whatever videos you all put up. And Meg...Thanks for the recipe!!
Your videos is a history of your family activities. It's a heirloom to pass down to each generation.

Don’t even worry about how it’s documented. Your day to day is great! Nothing to change. It’s real life!!!
You've reminded me how important it is to let the little ones try...it's always easier and faster to do it yourself... but it is everything for Buggy!
This is why I love your channel! Real life. Not fake. You take us with you through your day. Your boys and Buggy bring so much joy to so many of us. They are the cutest!!!

Enjoyed your last podcast. FOR THE NAYSAYERS - All I see is Hollar's kickin butt & takin names !
You have some amazing young men!!! You and Meg are doing a good job.
I think I know why you two keep making babies. Cause they come out so darned cute. Love your not so little family! ❤
I adore that you let your daughter help you make the Danish. Sure it would be faster but the wonderful memories made and skills acquired. You are such an awesome mom. Blessings on the new building. Everyone working together ❤️

Turn 70 this year and life flies by for sure. The song, "Don't Blink" says it all.

I like that you show learning and how you do things even if it’s for the first time.
I feel it’s more real.

If you ask for advice or other ways to do things then not a drama. But when ppl are rude or tell you to do better. Well I’d love to see their houses

Buggy is sooo shy ☺️ 😂😅We all love her so much ❤
I'm so happy about this series Ben and Meg, I can't build a thing, that's not where my talents lie.
So fun to see you and Buggie working together ! It will pay off, Meg ! You LOOK fantastic too....pregnancy agrees with you .
Love watching this build and any time Meg cooks! Lilliana is a little beauty. 👍☺️
Wisdom!
Buggie is my favorite. I just love that girl.
Who don't love dumplings! And that Danish looks so good. Ben you and the boys are well fed after all your digging and homestead work . What else is there in life? ❤
i love the fact that you can have a video from when you got there and see the progress thru the years
Whatever works for y'all.
Love the Hollars and Buggie's 100 miles an hour description!
Your cherry cheesecake danishes look delicious!! I LOVE that Buggy helped you, and the boys helped Ben. You are raising great children!! ❤
Baking this time of year was big in my family. Valentine's Day was my aunt's birthday, and we made decorated sugar cookies. We froze extra dough for Easter cookies later. My grandmother made cherry pie for President's Day.
Lovely traditions.
@@margaretbedwell3211 I remember them like they were yesterday!
Loved watching 'buggie' lick everything that mama was using to cook with! :)
I don't know about every one else but that sweet baby girl is so cute
Wonderful progress on the build, yummy looking Danish pastries & sweet little ponytails on Lilyanna🤗🇨🇦
