Hello! In this video I show a preview of some of the things I've been working on recently in preparation for the Early Access (which will be available through Patreon). This includes the full process from starting up the game to entering the world in free flight, studio logo animation, UI design and hierarchy with menus, panels, buttons and animations, in-game Patreon integration (that is how the EA will be handled until it is ready for Steam EA), title screen, main menu with dragon petting, shader precompilation (it is so fast you don't notice it), loading screen, and some more things that aren't visible. As always it is WIP but still good enough to show. It's quite a lot of work to build and design from scratch which is why there hasn't been much progress in terms of gameplay recently, but once all of that is done I can get back to more exciting things! If you haven't kept up with the regular updates on Discord discord.gg/dragontwin, the goal is to get the EA in the hands of the the first batch of Patreon supporters by the end of January, starting with the highest tier and going down the tier list with 2 week intervals (I will soon update the website www.dragontwin.com/earlyaccess with more information). The first build will just be free flying like in this video with more features and content coming in subsequent builds. Lots of interesting things planned for the first half of next year! Nah, I don't trust any developer asking for money, as they Are ALWAYS scams. Road to Vostok, THAT'S how an independent developer SHOULD act! Does he have a Patreon? Yep! Do you have to send money to play the game? OF COURSE NOT! This is 100% a scam!
@pinkyizthebrain2397 No, just like any small brands/businesses this is a great way to support the creator. They have to do this with their own time, money, and effort. And while they are putting product out there, ofcourse they would need an income. It's a product! I love the development so I'll forever support. They have done an amazing job. I'd pay for this product even early access. If it bothers you then leave. Bothers none of us supporters.
So looks so so good! And that right wing flap at 1:01 is perfect. I've never seen such beautiful wing movement from any other games. I can't wait for the early access to drop so I can fly around on some relaxing music.
I think it is safe to say that this is the best dragon animation in a game, period. Better than most film/tv animation as well. Beautiful work. I am very curious to see some land based/walking animation, but I realise this is a long term project and that would be a whole thing on its own.

When I see this, I think about one of my favourite PS2 games - Dragon Rage. Playing a dragon is absolute satisfying. It hits a nerve that really likes dinosaurs and dragons. I really think about support you for this. I sent this to a friend and he has the same thought as me: We want this full released some day. I whish you the best for this project!

This is ALMOST the perfect game I've been looking for. Being the Dragonrider instead of the Dragon itself is that problem, but this still looks amazing.

It looks great, the sound is incredible (the noise of the wings and the background music!) and even the main menu looks nice. I am SO going to make my Curse of Strahd DnD character (or at least as close to a dragonborn I can get in the character creator) riding on her Lord Arganvost’s back, into battle against Strahd’s forces of evil.
I just hope the game has a deep, meaningful story. No matter _how_ beautiful a dragon-flying-simulator it might be, if that's _all_ it is, it's going to get boring before long.
how is it this game looks more polished and 'clean' than a lot of other indie games that are in early access or hell, even triple AAA games? This is absolutely beautiful, amazing job! cant wait for the ground combat, i want to smack people with my dragon's big meaty claws!
Love the inclusion of the little feature box going "1 cool feature, 2 cool feature, EPIC THING" hahah, hope it keeps that energy and vibe with the actual things, love it haha. Also is it me or has the flying animation gotten better since the earlier videos? Wing membranes especially look less flowy and more stiff, wich is what youd be expecting for giant leathery wings. Awesomely done

Sound design is one of the biggest factors I look for in games, and so far Dragontwin has been NAILING IT, this is so cool!!
