I have this but not with a full yapp. Have a few spots on the gilt due to a rainy day run from the parking lot to the sanctuary. Now I look for full yapps.
(*** I figured out the answer to my question below, by carefully looking at the pages as you showed the Creeds and Confessions pages. There are 94 pages in that section.) How many pages are devoted to the creeds? Is the Credo noticeably thicker than the regular-size Quentel? Thank you. (I have a much-loved and used Quentel wide margin, and am thinking of a regular-size Quentel as well for easier portability and larger font.)
I have a NKJV Quentel. One thing I am not sure is why they didn't go with the same thing as the Omega of putting the references always on the bottom left corner of each page instead one page being on the bottom left and the other bottom right?
By the way, for a single column Bible, any thoughts about the Crossway Heirloom Heritage ESV vs. the Schuyler Treveris ESV? Which one would you pick? Thanks in advance! :)
I would go with the Schuyler. Their build quality and ribbon selection is better, plus I love the drop caps. However, make sure to check with them to see if they've updated their text. They omitted a "Y" at the beginning of a chapter, so there is a beautifully ornate drop cap for the word "Ou".
@@RustyBiblesThanks so much for this information! That's very helpful. Beth at Schuyler replied, I thought it'd be helpful to others to read: "Thanks for following up with us! Schuyler is aware of and deeply regrets that misprint in Isaiah 12:1 of the Treveris ESV. The entire first printing was affected, and it will be corrected in the next printing. Our current stock is still the first printing. The Treveris ESV is currently scheduled to be reprinted next year, close to mid year." I guess I will wait until next year to buy it, though that seems like a long time away. But maybe it's worth waiting so they hopefully fix the Isaiah 12:1 drop cap issue by then. Thanks so much again, and I subbed to your channel, you put out great content! :)
@@philtheo Thank you for the sub! I'm glad they were able to give you a quick answer. Beth is amazing! Definitely a great example of excellent customer service. I'm glad they have it on the schedule for next year; they will fix it for sure!
You may want to stick to reviews of text only editions. If your argument is with putting anything manmade next to the biblical text, you would also want to stay away from study Bibles, translator's footnotes, cross references and maybe any translation that adds words for clarity's sake, like words in italics or more thought for thought translations.
Re: 36 gsm vs 28 gsm.... I'd take the 36 for more opacity and hopefully the pages would be less apt to curl.
Definitely agree with you about the GSM of the paper. My Allan has such wonderful paper that does not fold and crunch up like my Schuyler.
I agree

Full yapps are the best yapps.
Wonderful review and important aspects to mention before choosing and buying it! Thank you!!!
Thank you for the kind words!
great review. I'm definitely intrigued with the Creeds in there. I just really like the Blue. decisions... decisions... 🤔
I wish they'd also make the red under gold darker
That pink salmon whatever is pretty though. It doesn't irk me like red letter gone fuschia, that's disturbing.

This one seems thinner than the ones I’ve seen before are there two different sizes for this esv credo from Schuyler?
I'm not sure if the Schuyler did the Credo in 36 GSM. That would be the only thing I could think of that would affect the thickness... ?
Augsburg 🙌🏻
The Bible link is a 404
I hope they bring it back. The Creeds and Confessions editions are always a crowd favorite...
Why would anyone use a bible with man made creeds?
