I also wonder if she was placed in the area they found her after the police made their first visits and that's why they didn't find her. Like "someone" knew they were on to them so they moved her.
Also aren't New Orleans PD like on of the worst out there? There's like 4 notoriously awful departments and New Orleans is one? Or did I hear that wrong.

I’m back here re watching to familiarise myself with the details because it’s been a long time since I last watched the case! I’m remembering everything as watching… It’s very sad that the family & Jessica’s best friend have not got justice for Jessica or themselves in all this time, it’s disgusting!! I really hope & pray that this upcoming documentary holds answers & everyone finally gets the justice they deserve!!!
I know it’s innocent until proven guilty, but I think Justin killed Jessica, I thought it when I first watched this & I still think it now!! It will take a lot of evidence to prove his innocence, rather than the other way around!!! (IMO)

I already wrote a novel above and initially touched upon the fact that many can’t cover issues of CP/DV/murder without getting demonetized, and if they aren’t in the position where they have sponsors to rely on, then they won’t make any money and that effects their ability to create quality content. I’ve been using TH-cam daily since I was a child and it’s gotten me through the death of my father/growing up biracial in America due to the plethora of content and creators you can find on here. This literally makes me shake, I feel so fortunate to have gotten out of the situation I was in. Coincidentally, my ex's name is also Justin...so this was kind of like listening to someone recount what happened in our relationship at times. Especially while Jessica's sister was describing how the abuse evolved.
To anyone in an abusive relationship, female or male, it will only get worse. It gets so much worse. It starts slow, and you feel like maybe its your fault, maybe they'll change, you save face constantly and pretend that your partner is SO great to everyone else--and they fake being great in front of the people they want to convince. But when you get home, the real them comes out and even if it's "just" verbal or emotional abuse now...I've gone through this more than once. They WILL get physical. I had a baby with my ex, I was desperate to make our situation work...one night it took eight police to help get me away from him. I am certain he would eventually kill me. Looking back now, I can see that he was grooming our...no, MY son. He's a despicable excuse for a human being and he will never see my son AGAIN. This kind of person is dangerous, and your life is at risk. You might think I'm being alarmist, but I promise you...I'm speaking from experience. Please protect yourself and your children, if you have any. Do NOT talk about leaving, do NOT discuss your plan with them or with someone else within earshot of your ABUSER.
Make a plan with a loved one, a shelter, a therapist and keep it between ONLY the parties involved in that plan. Do NOT pack a bag ahead of time and try to hide it, just make a mental list of what you'll need to pack. And the FIRST CHANCE you have, when your abuser is at work, school, or out running errands...that's when you leave. Grab your shit, STUFF is replaceable, you are not, so don't stress if you have to run with only the clothing on your back. My son and I left with nothing but what we were wearing and his diaper bag. It will all work out. And please make sure that you go to your local clerk of courts AS SOON AS POSSIBLE and apply for an order of protection. Do NOT advertise where you are on social media, with mutual friends, with anyone except those you trust with your life. Hang tight and get help, seek therapy...this kind of shit can be SO traumatic. There are people who want to help you, who are trained to help you, and who can help you turn your life around.
You are not replaceable. No man or woman is worth your mental health, your blood, your life... Get out when you can, and trust that you are an incredible person who is worth SO MUCH MORE than what you've been through. You are loved.

I've always never understand that, I see red flags I leave but I see plenty stay in abusive relationships hoping their partner will change. They only want to leave when it gets really bad. If you have a child being physically abused by your partner, do you stay just because you're scared??? No not at all. So why do that to yourself? . I've been in these situations and I leave right away. Unfortunately I've had family members stay in an abusive relationship and ended up dead.

This is SO true. Every time I’ve ever tried to leave my husband was when he was at his peak in terms of abuse. I’m so happy to be out of that marriage now and that my little baby and I are safe. He still has visits with the baby one weekends, but at least I get to raise him and we don’t have to live under his thumb. If ur bf or husband ever shows signs of being controlling LEAVE ASAP. If a man is controlling, he is most likely abusive as well. Please put yourself first and know that love isn’t supposed to hurt.

If I ever found out someone was being abused, I’d help them leave in a discrete way. Everything goes under my name. Hotel room across the country, plane ticket out there, etc. You leave casually, when out at the store or a doctor’s appointment. Any time you can get away without raising suspicion - even telling the doctor your plan so if the abuser calls to “confirm” the appointment it seems legit. Don’t worry about bringing anything except yourself (and your kid if you have one). Stuff can be replaced, lives cannot.
    Stay safe everyone 💗

Sex based oppression knows no borders unfortunately. Women are in danger everywhere. No matter how “safe” a country is. And there’s still people out there that say misogyny and sex based oppression aren’t real. It’s been proven time and time again that women cannot rely on the patriarchy and it’s system to protect us. Our liberation comes at the cost of their privilege. It’s up to us to liberate ourselves. Unfortunately the US is worlds behind right now in terms of feminist progress. The mainstream brand of feminism here is typical neo-liberal feminism. Pointless, empty, and based in consumption/consumerism. Feminism in places like Mexico, Chile & South Korea are leading the way right now. Be safe. South Africa has one of the highest domestic violence rates in the world.
