Thanks, David ! I found that online, actually.. the first 12 records were all thrift. My old copy, I found at a Thrift store 20 years ago.. Gene's son was the singer of our old band ! Kai is still singing and playing and has a nice record out called " Silver Raven." From 2017 or so.

They really are ! The tall one is Mount Rose.. 10,778 Ft . It has two ski areas at the foot of the mountain, half way to Lake Tahoe.. the parking lot of the ski area is at 8,000 Ft !!

See !!! That's why we are friends ! Some don't like A Passion Play ! It's a masterpiece in my eyes, and feeling ! Yeah.. there are a number of songs that I would play on the jukebox.. as I got more serious about the game.. I blocked everything out ! In the zone !!! 🤯

Nice scenery JT! We still have no snow in Boston, but it's very cold. Weird Winter! "Spring Session M" is an e 80s essential! Despite the fact that I am originally from Canada I just never got into Bruce Cockburn, just not my bag. That Muddy Waters album looks great...love the Blues. I saw Fine Young Cannibals in Ottawa mid 80s when I was at university, fun show. I picked up a copy of Cale's "Troubadour" sometime last year. I just love his laid back style. You had a good day out shopping JT!

Would love that Yardbirds Greatest Hiits! Yeah my Dillard & Clark album ‘Fantastic Expedition’ was on Edsel, great reissue label. Mine had the extra track ‘Something Changed’ & ‘Why Not Your Baby’ which are incredible. Love your stories Mate! Keep em coming!
Why Not Your Baby" is an outstanding Gene tune.. Kai used to tell me that when he was little.. 6 or 7 years old in Mendocino.. he would be in bed and hear his Dad playing guitar and singing, his boots keeping time echoing on their wood floors. ( that house is on the cover of " Two Sides To Every Story" ) with Kai's toy on the picnic table next to Gene !
Looks like a nice drive. I like that Harry Belafonte album you flipped by. I love that Bruce Cockburn record and he's coming close to Kansas City this month. I'm a huge fan of The English Beat and General Public as well. Roland Gift had a unique voice that I enjoyed. Nice J.J. Cale pickup.
Yeah.. I have that Belafonte record.. excellent ! I remembered that you like Bruce Cockburn.. several said they did not ! I have always been drawn to acoustic guitar based performing.. and Bruce is fantastic !
Hi I have a large collection of music. I'm in my sixties, and have music from the 1960s to the early 2000s. FYC are a favorite 1980s band of mine. They had a string of hits such as Johnnie come Home, Drives me Crazy, Good Thing etc. I own a double cd of their music ,cd 2 has extended remixes of their hits. I like that JJ Cale Troubadour album . I had it in 1976 on vinyl. I have it on cd now. Traveling Light is the single lifted off it that I like most. The tune Cocaine topped our pop charts in New Zealand in 1977. Carl.. Thank you so much for this note. Do you know "Naturally" JJ Cale's LP from 1971 ? It is my definite favorite, and the others are close behind. FYC were so good.. I am missing a couple albums by them, hope to run across them soon ! I'm in my 60's as well.. I will be 66 next month. Cheers, and I appreciate the support.

Cale album have the single Crazy Mama on it. I remember it being released back in early 1972 and charting here in NZ.

The BB and Muddy album is not expensive, and there is another jacket varient.. I think it's a 15.00 record on Discogs.. I do prefer Mayall, and Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac.. but the Yardbirds have those iconic songs, for sure.. and some deep tracks !

You work hard for your records Jt 👍 I have Muddy Live At Newport, but it looks different to your copy. I have a cool Hank box set that has all of his records. It’s brilliant. Same with Yardbirds too. Good point on Goodwill. I use to bring all my stuff there and then they sell it for corporate profit. I had never known that. I now bring it to the Salvation Army as this money will go to charities. You know Goodwill is profitable when you look at all the new building they have put up. Get stuff for free and sell it, can’t go wrong. The mountains were great. At least you found some interesting things
I was only kidding about psychedelics ! 🤯 Agreed, Salvation Army is good, St Vincent's ( they feed people ) a local Catholic charity. My favorite is Reno Gospel Mission. Helping men and women get sober, they work at the stores.. and oh yeah.. records are still .25 cents ! ✌️

That Gigi cover reminded me of Ummagumma by Pink Floyd, as it's hiding in the cover art. I don't own any Hank Sr, believe it or not! Oh man, Dillard and Clark! I need that, haha. Tom Petty had a great hidden gem called "Lonesome Dave," check it out on the American Treasure set!

Beautiful scenery JT. All the money goes to him. All the money goes to the EXECUTIVES is what happened in S. ONTARIO. Goodwill, Salvation Army and still some other MISSION thrift stores. I could write a book about the ultra disgraceful acts that I've witnessed. Thanks for sharing and I'll look out for some of those albums. ☮️

Savers had an interesting selection, not saying I'd buy any though. Goodwill store I go to now and then in Brooklyn is junky.

Out west here.. it depends. I seem to miss when they put records out at this Goodwill.. it's all timing.. today I scored 4 really nice old records at Salvation Army after work for 5.00 a piece. It was a special area for nicer stuff in the store. Thanks Mark !

For some reason a lot of people don't like Red Rose Speedway by Wings. In my opinion it's a masterpiece.
Absolutely love it ! ( Red Rose Speedway ) The Wings debut is a favorite as well.. Paul and Linda's cover of "Love Is Strange" is just too good ! I picked up "Back To The Egg" in Bangkok.. Japanese press with the OBI !
