I do love James Bond soundtracks. I did wind up buying a greatest hits of Bond albums, saved me some room! Albums look in very good shape. Wild horses, not that is very cool
Yeah, Steve.. We have wild horses all over northern Nevada. They are allowed to roam free. I love those Bond soundtracks, I picked up Thunderball as well ! Have you been to Cheyanne yet for their record shop north of you ?
Really ! Very cool. Greg.. Say hey to Dillon for me next time ! There were so many soundtracks, it was overwhelming ! I did pick up a Close Encounters (John Williams ) as well, and Black Orpheus, Doctor Detroit and Fantasia on Vista ( Leopold Stokowski )
Hey Greg.. Wanted to tell you, I went back for more, and the Warner Bros. comp is one of them ( Appetizers ).. Listening now ! It's one of the best, and as good as The Big Ball ! Thanks, man 👍
Love the Bond soundtracks ! Might go back for more tomorrow, Dale.. I have never seen so many soundtracks in one place.. Ever ! Thanks always for peeking in 😊
I have to confess: visiting a warehouse/storage unit of vinyl here in CT is something I have been putting off (since I know the end result), so in some regard, I shouldn't have watched this! But, you got some great stuff for a sweet deal. I have not seen that Isaac Hayes before. Any Billie Holiday from her Verve period is worth picking up, and I have quite a bit of Oscar Peterson as well (but not what you showed). Love that early 60's rock (Kingsmen; Dixie Cups; Outsiders), and I have that Willie/Leon LP - it's pretty great. Those Bond Soundtracks are worth it for the covers alone. I felt those Sierra Winds! 😎🎶
My sister's godmother was from Stratford, Ct. My mom and her came out west from NYC in show biz.. Mom entertained with many big stars starting in 1950. They landed in Vegas and were on the very first chorus line of the Desert Inn Hotel. Mom Would visit with Billie Holiday whenever she saw her in between shows. This is why I love the old standards, I guess.
Right.. I have so many records, and I love it ! I made a great connection with this guy , so I will be coming back for more. I get it why you would hold back. Space is a bid issue, isn't it ! Get that Oscar, or stream it to see if you like it. See you on yours, Ed
@jtsrecordroom3963 Wow, that is amazing! And... Stratford CT is where I grew up-no kidding! All my siblings and families are still in CT, and I live in Hamden, right outside of New Haven. Yale is my backyard. Small world!
@@jtsrecordroom3963 Space is definitely an issue. I look at some of the other VC'ers with their row upon rows of vinyl behind them, and it's pretty wild to see. I thought I had a lot!
Thanks, Doug.. There were some sweet classic country LP's in there as well.. One that I wish I would have grabbed is Claude King Tiger Woman and a bunch of old Lefty Frissell .. and I skimmed by a bunch of Elvis too.. I'm going back !!! 👍
I pulled Thunderball out of there as well, Gary ! I might go back tomorrow.. More soundtracks in one place that I have ever seen ! I got lucky again !!! 🫡
I was definitely worked afterwards ! Layton talked to me, for a while.. I felt like I was plugged into a wall socket ! Haha. It was nice to pull over and soak up some natural surroundings at Washoe lake on the way to Reno. No Jerry Reed, though.. I picked up the one with Amos Moses not long ago. I haven't forgotten. When I get doubles, I'll let you know..
It was nice to see the Donovan record and Tom Petty too! Seeing the Disney titles made me smile 😊 I had some of those when I was a kid. I enjoyed seeing the horses too. 🐎
Hi JT!!!! Well done and great additions to the collection, but wow 2 1/2 hrs diggin'!!! that's a lot to go through..... finding near mint old records is such a joy and pleasure, it's hard to describe. To me the highlight has to be Budgie!!! what an underrated band, but their stuff is not easy to get cds or vinyl, don't know why..... cheers and be well
@cristianosorio2517 Oh yeah, Cristian.. I got home and put that Budgie on my turntable.. Loud ! It is my best pull-out of all those records. I do have 5 re issues that Jum bought me for Christmas two years ago, but I never see OG's anywhere ! Thanks for noticing, bro ✌️
Looks like your persistence paid off with that Isaac Hayes album! You never know what you're going to find! What a beautiful Kate Bush album cover. I also spied a Wall of Voodoo album! Fun video. Nevada is beautiful.
That was my 4th time digging over there in Carson City.. I did good, and they are great sounding records as well. I gave your channel a shout-out with 2 others, 2 minutes in on a contest entry vid for Morten Aastad 3 video's ago. Thanks Steph.. The 3 of us are off to see The Wailers at the Best In The West Rib Cook-Off !

That would be fun.. Good luck with your Steelers this season.. And I hope you guys don't take Brandon Aiyuk from us.. He went to school here in Reno, and he's one of my favorite players !
Excellent sweet finds JT. Any day going on a record dig is great, but having several digs during the year is incredibly awesome. Finding excellent records at incredibly low prices is truly a blessing. Thanks so much for always sharing.
I was gonna go back again this morning, better to give it a rest ! I have never seen so many soundtracks, and in beautiful condition in one place.. Ever ! Thanks, Walter.
Thanks a lot.. I might go back again tomorrow. It's a nice drive over to Carson City, and the gas is .90 cents per gallon less, so it's like a free trip down there ! ( 25 miles or so ). Lots of soundtracks !
G’day JT , some great pickups there and great scenery ! Well done . Particularly like the Tom Petty’s both of them,Willie & Leon ,Original Fleetwood Mac, Budgie & Memphis Slim, My last dig all I could scrounge up were two Herb Alperts 🤷♂️Cheers mate
I'm getting lucky, again Craig ! This guy called me up and made an appt for me to drive over to Carson City ( 25 miles ). One other guy gets a first look, and I'm second.. Which is fine by me. The guy that's first likes Folk, Jazz and 80's.. So that leaves a lot of room for me !
Nice find JT on the outsiders...how I luved hearing time won't let me in high school...I to was fortunate in finding two by them at Goodwill...not mint like yours but still play well enough to enjoy!
Hi Louis ! Outsiders are great, and I was listening to Barclay James Harvest earlier this morning. Carl Tweed from England turned me on to the Dutch band.. The Outsiders. Excellent band, garage/ psych !
I was amazed at how good that Outsiders album is ! I guess they were out of Cleveland. I looked it up for represses of Outsiders.. There aren't any ! Thanks, Louis
Dark Continent by Wall Of Voodoo is hard to find. Some of those Waylon, George Jones and Jerry Reed would come home with me. That Montrose album cover with the giant lizard is awesome. The Outsiders Time Won’t Let Me is a cool album. I love that era. I’m not familiar wigh Chris Conner but the cover photo is striking. As a James Bond fan I would have been tempted to get those first two soundtracks. That is a great batch of records.
Thanks Richie.. No show Jones did come back to my house, and I had those Waylon LP's already. Did I Flip by a Jerry Reed ? I need to go back ! There were more soundtracks than I have ever seen in one place, and I did pick up 3 Bond titles.. Thunderball is the other I did not show. The Dutch Outsiders are super cool garage psych as well !
WOW! Julie, Jayne, Sarah, Etta and Chris! Score. I wanna know how the guy before missed that Jayne M record! I just picked up a sealed copy of that Willie and Leon album. Can’t wait to crack that open. What a great variety of genres you brought home! Nice going, JT! Congrats. Hard work pays off again. ✌🏽
Absolutely ! And that Anita O Day was a good find as well ! I like the Etta releases from 1989 through the early 200's an awful lot. She does tons of killer material with updated bands during that run.. Thanks for taking the time on this one.
That Donovan record is great. Was glad to see you pulled Louie Louie. The Midnight Cowboy soundtrack from memory is really good. Nice Miracles, Robert Johnson, Santo & Johnny & The Outsiders too. It's Only Rock'n Roll is so underappreciated. Almost impossible to find decent Motown copies over here. Great pick ups Jt. Cheers...Ben
Ben, I watched your last video halfway.. then had to bolt to work ! This dig was intense and pretty physical, but it's the thing I like to do. Budgie Squawk was a killer find as well. So so many soundtracks and too many to film. I had a good time going down there, and I might drive over in the morning before work ! Yeah.. I couldn't pass on the Motown titles, especially this clean !
Right.. With "Russia" Dr. No" and "Thunderball.. I finally have several Bond soundtracks ! Do you have "Her Name Is Julie" from 1955, Mike ? One of the best sounding records I have !
This was recommended. $2 is not bad when Goodwill cherry picks anything over $1 and sell the left overs for $3.99. I need to take advantage of the small town thrift at 3/$1.00.
Thank you for checking my channel out. From my very first video.. It's almost all been thrift and inexpensive garage digs, like my Bill's Garage series that really fattened up my record collection. My best dig was .25-cent records from a nearby thrift store ! Good luck out there in the real wild, " as I call it ! 😊
Some great finds as always Jt. I have many of those. Still need to find a decent copy of Skynard’s second album. I know you needed to be selective, but those Ian and Sylvia records are great, if they are in good condition. Cheers.
I do have most of those Ian & Sylvia records, maybe I am missing one that was there. Funny that we were/ are missing a good copy of "Second Helping". I might go back tomorrow, maybe..I have never seen so many soundtracks in one place, and mint... Ever ! Thanks, Jack
That's a gorgeous Kate Bush title. I also like the hype sticker on "Bullets." There's a lot of old country and western music in those boxes. The new Etta James best-of is great. I also really like the Murray the K compilations. The Isaac Hayes title looked to be in great shape. Those jackets usually have a lot of wear and are torn.. Congrats on that one. You can't go wrong with Oscar Peterson. Joe Pass and Julie is one title I still have to pick up. Chapel of Love is another title that is difficult to find in clean condition. Cool Robert Johnson compilation. That Chris Conner title is beautiful. You're gonna love it. Very nice Tom Petty and Rolling Stone picks as well. So many fantastic titles, JT.
Right.. My favorite picks are that Kate Bush, Isaac Hayes, and Second Helping ! The Robert Johnson was so enjoyable to listen to, and I had never seen that many soundtracks in one place ! Thanks, Mark
Great gems. Love the Tina, Julie. You know your music. I just p/u a $1 copy of 1955 era Liberty press Her Name is Julie, cleaned it with my vevor ultrasonic, and it plays like VG++. Amazing sound. Just Julie, guitar and bass. Keep up the great digging!
That's the great Barney Kessel on your "Her Name Is Julie".. on guitar, I'm sure you knew that. Agreed.. My favorite Julie London, and I have an almost perfect copy like yours. The sound on that record with volume is like Julie with bass and guitar, right there in front of us while listening ! Thank you ✌
I'm looking at this video JT, 2 dollars a piece is a bargain, that Canadian pressing of Kate Bush would probably go for 20 dollars in New York and 20 pounds in London, I'm pretty sure it would go for more in Canada, I heard in America if you go to thrift stores in small towns or record shops it's cheaper than the big city's, and those tom pettys, I've bought some records this summer but I've spend around 15 dollars a record, i know I'll go to a charity shop and I'll find small record collection for a bargain
We are turning into a bigger city, so I have to go hunting while I can ! I know a lot of people around town, and they know that I love records ! Where do you live ?
There was some stuff that I would buy also. Well if they were 2 USD per record it might I would have gone crazy. Jethro Tull I would have bought with out thinking. And Supremes. mr. FInglish (Bäd English Recs)
Wow what a great dig you discovered.. I have been streaming a lot of Peter Green era FWM and have been on the hunt so far nothing but I will prevail one day I know😂 Killer Willie Nelson album. You got some gems for sure JT. I hope all is well. God bless… Ooh also I have really gotten into David Gilmour’s solo albums lately I have bought his debut album and Rattle That Lock on CD so far, I have also been listening to Pink Floyd a lot as well.. I have ‘Dark Side Of The Moon’ on vinyl and ‘Meddle’ on CD.. But if you haven’t listened to any David Gilmour solo material give it worth a listen🤘🏻
Craig.. Good to hear from you ! I never tire of Peter Green, Danny Kirwan and Jeremy Spencer. Bob Welch kept of with quality material with Danny on Kiln House, Future Games and Bare Trees. I like Gilmour solo a lot. I will listen to some on the way to work this morning ! Yeah.. Willie and Leon ! Pretty epic !!
Craig, I listened to David Gilmours' debut this morning. Excellent ! It's been quite a while since I listened to his solo albums. 🫡 Good recommendation !
@@Craig_KCfan I'm listening to About Face" on my drive home from work. The 2nd track is amazing ! Might try and pick this one up on vinyl, or.. just enjoy my Cd !
@@greghawkins229 Agreed ! Claude King Tiger Woman was just one of the many I will look for again ! Lefty Frissell, more Willie, and I skimmed by a bunch of Elvis that I didn't have !
Hi JT. You certainly needed patience going through all those records. When they are priced so cheaply, it's difficult to know what to get and what to leave behind. You have to keep saying, "Do I really need this?" Tom Petty's debut, Robert Johnson, the Kingsmen, Etta James, Dixie Cups and the Mugwumps would be the picks for me. Do you know of the Dutch band The Outsiders from the 1960s?
The other Outsiders.. Yes, I have heard of them. I will have a listen here in a bit, and good point of.. Do I really need this one ! I might go back and have another look. I have made a good relation with Layton, nice guy, and he calls me when stuff is happening !
Carl, I listened to the Dutch Outsiders.. Really terrific garagy/ psych 60's music. Right in my wheelhouse. I will stream some more after work. Thanks !
Nice Giants hat the stadium or Lids? Am I seeing things or did you pick up 2nd Helping not that long ago? I see your answer at 20:34 I wrote my question at 1:55, nice Pronounced I have it on cd!!!! I like Donovan , Proco Harum is ok , Dave Clark 5 is also ok , nice Simon and Garfunkel, nice Lovin Spoonful , Montrose , Jetro Tull , Tom Petty , Fleetwood Mack , My favorite is Pronounced. Midnight Cowboy rated X,

I would have had a hard time not snagging some of those old country
@@jtsrecordroom3963 I've bought stuff in the past from charity shops and car boot sales and finished up donating them to other charity shops.
Carl, I listened to the Dutch Outsiders.. Really terrific garagy/ psych 60's music. Right in my wheelhouse. I will stream some more after work. Thanks !
@jtsrecordroom3963 was there really another band called the outsiders in the sixties...I only knew of the American one.
.
Yes, from Holland.. And they're really good ! Very garagy / psych

Right.. I did pick up 2nd Helping online because I left that original at this dig I am presently on. Last time around, it was still there !
@@marksantucci4230 The debut Skynyrd is amazing, I agree ! Thanks Mark
2 dollars a record? That's a bargain
Pretty good, huh ! I have been back 4 times now, and hope for Layton to call me again with more records in his warehouse !
I'm going to have to fly to Nevada one day and buy some records where you go, enjoy them JT
Seriously.. If you are ever coming.. Let me know ! A meet-up would be cool !
You skipped over a good Warner Brothers Comp.
I know ! I need to go check and see if I have that one, and I don't think I do. In the morning, I'm probably going back before work, and I know right where it is. Good eye on that one, Greg
@@jtsrecordroom3963 I have multiple copies of those comps. Hardly anyone buys them so
Those treasures are available at a great price usually
