@@jtsrecordroom3963 I agree! I liked the lasers and Gojira! They and Mastodon were amont the very first bands I collected more or less unheard, from scratch on vinyl when I got a record player again! Did you think about giving my competition a go? The band I’m giving away a record for was interviewed on the Prog Corner yesterday. That was fun to watch! 😊

I will try, not sure.. I had to squeeze this one in for Steve and bump my weekly video on Wednesday. I won't make one for my channel this week. @carltweed942 No, I didn't know about Joe Val. I will go back again anyhow. That was a tough dig.. No internet, going in blind with lots of very good roots / country artists all around. Original US orange Diamond Dogs and The Sundays were two good ones.. All of the 40 records, actually. I will look at Joe Val. Thank you, Carl !

I'm back into Don Nix lately.. my newest fun artist to enjoy. He was a Memphis Stax musician and songwriter. He had a lot to do with southern roots rock getting started.. He wrote " Goin' Down' that Freddie King performed and a bunch of rootsy folk blues stuff. He's still alive ( 82 yrs old ).

Hello, Mark.. Some collector's go off big time with records.. I don't. .. I mean, I have a number of records that are worth 100 to 300 dollars. Check out the Vinyl Record Mission and see the Elvis 45 that we are speaking of.

It's all relative, isn't it ? How much for a Barry Bonds rookie card, or a Lou Gehrig rookie card. Lot's of different things to collect in this world, and records are my thing ! ( except for my 1989 SF Giants team set ) Not worth much, just important to me ).

Sure ! I do see T's around town with Led Zep, Skynyrd PF Cheap Trick, not so much Tull these days ( I might get one ) and other classic bands..

I like having those albums on multiple formats, and I do !

Hey thanks, Steph.. I did get some good ones, and I have been enjoying John Prine again, lately. That Bowie Diamond Dogs is an OG orange RCA U.S. copy. Croce ! We all loved him in the 70's, and I remember how sad it was when he passed in that plane crash way back in the day.. "New York's Not My Home" is a good one. I like just about every genre of music.. it keeps it fresh ! Cool , and thanks

Thanks for checking this out, and yes.. There are stacks and stacks of bangers in this haul. I have enjoyed every single one of these records since I scored this amazing haul last year. I have been a fan of many of these bands since they broke in the 70's and 80's and have a varied taste in many genres.

I have been collecting records for over 50 years ( 1971 ). My cousins boyfriend used to manage Funkadelic, Parliament, and Rare Earth back in '76.. I've met tons of performers, and I'm a player as well.. I didn't mean to make you envious, I have a knack for finding good records inexpensiveley, and I do know what's in these boxes and love these bands/ artists✌️

I have that Live Tangerine Dream on Cd, so it's pretty cool to find the LP ! My Bowie collection is getting really nice, I figure he is my 3rd favorite Artist / Band ever ! Pilgrimage was a score too. Thank you, Cristian

I picked up that Rockpile LP , and the crazy thing that happened was I had Skynyrd 2nd Helping on the table.. And forgot to pack it with the other 40 records ! Ouch !! I have been wanting a clean copy of that one, and the only studio Lynyrd Skynyrd I was missing. I hope to go back one more time.. To get over the sting, I bought the re issue for 22 online. It sounds great !

Knock on wood.. I do get lucky ! At this point I make educated guesses where to go, and who to ask if they might have anymore records ! Thank you, Rob ( The Everly's single is not in there )

I saw Skynyrd in 1976 as a backup to {get this} Jeff Beck. It was at the Cape Cod Coliseum. A general admission show. About a month later I saw Frampton perform Comes Alive. That summer of 76 was a good one for shows. But 1977 was the absolute best for shows. I saw Queen, Pink Floyd, Zeppelin, ELP, Yes, The Kinks, Heart, etc... <> Good to hear that we share the love of Lynyrd Skynyrd~

Go to both stores, Tower is easy to find, and there is a lot of good used vinyl as you saw in my video Disk Union pricing is about the same.. All the retail stores are, actually ! I recommend that you keep digging through all the bins, and you will find some records that you want at a fair price. USD is still very strong and show your ID for tax-free purchases.. I think ? There is a sign at the entrance of Tower explaining that ! Have a great time.. We love Japan ! ( Disk Union Rock isn't far at all from Tower ) 🎵

@mad4vinyl802 I pretty much screamed when I flipped by that Sundays EP !! It has their 1st single on it. A while back, I pulled their debut out of Bill's for 6 dollars, or so ! Right.. 4 John Prine LP's in the same box, with 2 that I was missing !

@@jtsrecordroom3963 Two records that I think are great from them are NIGHT FISHING and Their self-titled from 2012.. Some songs to start would be, NIGHT FISHING IS GOOD, SHIRANAMI TOPWATER, FUKUROU, MULTIPLE EXPOSURE, MUSIC, …well, they have a lot of great songs. If I were to describe them I would say that they are a folk band at heart, no matter what genre they try.

I would start with his debut with" Sam Stone" and Angel From Montgomery" then Sweet Revenge then Diamonds In The Rpugh, and last of the four.. Bruised Orange ! A wealth of lyrics, textures, and music. Very cool that you appreciate George Jones, Ben ! Croce has some very timeless songs.. " New York's Not My Home" " Operator" several others.. And " Roller Derby Queen" !! I will give the TD debut Alpha Centurai a spin soon.. It's been ages since I heard it !

@@jtsrecordroom3963 The quality of your finds for the prices Jt is always mind blowing to me. I love TD and have a lot of their albums. Was lucking enough to see them do the soundtrack to Sorcerer live about a year before we lost Edgar. George Jones is a legend and the older I get the more my appreciation for country music grows.

Part of the reason is this region I live in.. Historically good for picking vinyl out there in the real wild ! The other thing is I'm pretty pro at connecting with owners and workers at various shops that if I ask, often they have more records stored somewhere ! There were some great country titles and more records that I might go back for next week. Good to have you back home, Ben

I know ! I lost focus a little by not having it my stack. What I did when I came home is I ordered the repress online for 22.00. 2nd Helping is the only Skynyrd I was missing of the studio LP's. If it's still there when I go back next week.. Cool. If not, I've got one !

I couldn't believe it when I saw those two Duran Duran LP's ( 1 EP, actually ). I listened to Teaser & The Firecat a couple of days ago.. It never ever gets old !

I have been on a southern rock kick, lately Walter. Outlaws and Blackfoot are terrific, especially the early Blackfoot ! I did alright on this one, and I needed a new place to dig, although Bill's is still going strong. ( He must of had 10,000 records in there to start with last year ) !
