She doesn't have a heavy voice. She sings heavy. Not the voice, the singing. Meaning the way she's approaching it. Approaches everything to her slow ass vibrato which comes from terrible technique. Totally sharp, out of tune constantly.
today (May 30 ) she was not in the show as the Met promised. I hope everything is OK with her. also I was very much disappointed that opera performed without her.
This is one of the easiest arias in the entire opera repertoire and her abilities and skill is nowhere near to even sing in tune. And please don"t seek excuses because it is a rehersal. If She already has colossal problems such as support and intonation at the rehearsal, then the performance itself is the same, usually even worse. You can't have a bad voice at rehearsal and suddenly over night be all fantastic at the performance. Nadie can't sing! She is one of those singers who does not hide how she got into the opera business. Not because of talent. This is more than obvious.
You know you are not obligated to watch any video or music with singer you do not like, right? Perhaps you should spend more time writing good accomplishments to the ones you like. Otherwise, the opera houses would consulting you for their cast choices, which I think it is not happening. Am I wrong?
I would love to see your recording of this aria if it is, according to your words, so easy 😊 why hide behind a faceless account and write dozens of negative comments under videos of singers, if you can do something productive and record this music better?! 🎉

Maybe it is just a rehearsal and she’s marking, but I’ve been singing for 40 years and have sung with some of the best in the business, so I know what I’m talking about.
