      I do have videos on menopause and blogs on my site perimenopause.help. Whenever I refer to late stage perimenopause or low estrogen that can also apply to menopause. The ingredients in happy mammoth hormone Harmony that they promote for weight loss are generally considered safe in cancer survivors (gymnema and berberine) and can be taken individually as the full blend may not be right for you. I’ve ordered the Hormone Harmony bottles and honestly they were life changing for me. I had been feeling depressed and anxious for a long time, and it’s like a curtain lifted off my brain and I was happy again and could feel emotions again. It also helped my sleep tremendously, I hadn’t had a deep sleep in years and those pills made me sleep like a baby again. The only downside, the gymemna sylvestre that can act like a diuretic made me feel like I had to go relieve myself CONSTANTLY, to the point it started interfering with my day, so I sadly had to stop taking them 😥😥 do you know of anything that could counteract that diuretic effect ?????

I am experiencing mood swings, brain fog, weight gain, problems waking up around 4 in the morning and can’t go back to sleep. Do you think hormone harmony would help me? I have had all of my hormones checked and everything came back normal. My estradiol was 30. If it dropped one point it would be considered low. I have heard ashwagandha shouldn’t be taken long term, what’s your take on that?

      It may help. I think any herbs should be rotated. For example take for 3 months, take a month or so break, then consider restarting for another 3 months if needed. But it's hard to say as everyone is different so it's best to discuss with your provider.

    I have been taking Hormone Harmony, I finished the first bottle, no change in my weight whatsoever, as well as having healthy habits and following my macros with my food. I am now 2 weeks into the weight loss protocol bundle. I weighed myself this morning, and I have put ON 1Kg. These products are heavily marketed with helping to lose weight, and I am still waiting for that to happen.
    I also have a 10 mile a day cycle commute and do pilates about twice a week, as well as I am keeping up my hydration. Have you actually used these products or are you just going through the ingredients?
    Thank you.

    • @DrShelleyMeyer
      @DrShelleyMeyer  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, thanks for watching and commenting. The purpose of the video was to objectively review the ingredients in their most popular products. I have had many patients use the Hormone Harmony and love the effects on their perimenopause symptoms. As far as weight loss goes, some have seen weight loss and some haven't. I agree that the company heavily markets for weight loss. The problem with mass marketing for weight loss supplements is that everyone is different with genetics, stress levels, hormone levels, unique metabolism, etc. I have tried Hormone Harmony personally and seen a small amount of weight loss. However I have low blood sugar so it's not the greatest fit for me.
      I think the women that experience weight loss with HH are those who may lean towards insulin resistance, which is very common in perimenopause and menopause. I have never used or recommended the full weight loss bundle so I can't speak to the effects of that.

      I started searching for unpaid, unsponsored reviews on Hormone Harmony because it came up on an ad on my end too. 😅
      It was also very helpful to see some of the comments of women’s experiences taking it.
      I have to share about my experience recently getting my vitamin levels tested from my primary last couple times I went. I’m a current vegetarian that was a strict vegan for many years. Most of my life. I’m 46, still getting fairly regular periods. Not too bad perimenopause symptoms. I did have some symptoms. Anyway. I found out my d and iron was very low. Surprised that my b levels were normal but that’s probably because I drink a lot of Edensoy Extra soymilk. It’s naturally fortified with kombu for B vitamins. I also eat seaweed on the regular. I started combining a multivitamin with d3/k2 and iron into my diet with a pre probiotic supplement and LET ME TELL YOU…I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER!!! Next test I’ll be going for is my hormones, asap. For the time being, hopefully this comment can reach out and help many people who are struggling with bloating and other symptoms like I was…please go get your hormones and vitamin levels tested. It’s so important to keep your vitamin d up for many different reasons. Some of our symptoms are also from not enough nutrition. Regardless how many healthy foods you eat, our soils are depleted. You will notice a huge difference in your life if you get your vitamin levels up and get yourself into some good pre/probiotics. Exercise and hydration makes a huge difference.

    • @DrShelleyMeyer
      @DrShelleyMeyer  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's ok to combine them usually but since I don't know you please be sure to discuss it with your provider before starting it. I usually don't start estradiol in perimenopause unless a woman is in the very late stages of Perimenopause and we confirm that her estradiol is staying low and not spiking up. But with a mirena this may be already taking care of the estradiol and making it low.

      Birth control usually hijacks hormones and makes them low also so this may be making your levels even lower but there are benefits to that for some women. This supplement could help low hormone symptoms but it's best to discuss it with your doctor given your unique medical history.

    I am 53 and haven't had a period in 8 months so I'm assuming I will hit that one year mark and be in Menopause soon. I have hot flashes and night sweats, weight gain, and low energy. I have been taking a probiotic for the last 3 months as well. Do you think Happy Mammoth would be beneficial for me at all at this point?

    Getting your vitamin levels tested by your primary as well can help a lot. I recently found out I was very low on vitamin d and iron after getting tested. I started incorporating d3/k2 and a multi with iron with calcium and magnesium. As well as a huge dose of pre/probiotics and my bloating symptoms are gone! I am 46, with regular periods but did have some peri symptoms I mentioned. I’m glad I came across this video. It reminded me to get in to my doc to get my hormones tested asap. I came here for honest reviews on Hormone Harmony. 😅thanks!!!

    So, I am considering taking the Hormone Harmony . I had a hysterectomy at 33 years of age, due to endometriosis. Went through pseudo-menpause. 10 years later went through normal menopause (did not take hormone replacement). Fast forward to 62 years, and now I'm having menopause all over again. Is that normal??

    • @DrShelleyMeyer

      That isn't normal, I'm not sure what's going on. I have not heard of going through menopause twice, though I guess symptoms could get worse later if stress increases, weight changes, or other hormone levels interfere.

    Hi, just recently found out that my mother and sister started their menopause at 47. I just turned 43. I am on a IUD (Mirena) so my period is not a good indicator nowadays. I do not experience hot flashes and also not mood swings (I think) but do get dizzy/light in the head at times paired with anxiety (I thought it was panic because 8 months ago I got dizzy and immediately followed with an epileptic seizure which I never had before). I do have weight gain and also some stiffnes in mostly my knees. So recently I figured : maybe it's perimenopause? My ferrin/iron has been low but should be fine now since I am taking special pills for that. Do you think Happy Hormone could help especially with the dizziness/anxiety?

    • @DrShelleyMeyer

      Birth control kind of highjacks ovulation and the ebb and flow of normal hormones in a cycle. But I find some women still have some erratic hormones even when in birth control so these kinds of supplements could either help, or maybe not make much of a difference, it's hard to know

    • @DrShelleyMeyer

      Great question. Though it doesn't have any of the directly contraindicated herbs in the blend there's a possibility that some of the adaptogenic herbs could have an unpredictable reaction. I haven't seen this in my personal practice but there are some reported cases of them decreasing or increasing the effectiveness of the ssri's.

    • @DrShelleyMeyer

      The hormone Harmony by happy mammoth will not treat chronic yeast infections. Avoiding sugar, getting a good probiotic going like femdophilus by Jarrow (as an example but see my videos on women's probiotics), and potentially taking a blend like candidastat can help but always be sure to check with your provider because chronic yeast infections can be a signal that something else is going on and or you may need a prescription antifungal.

      I don't love iuds but they are sometimes a better option for birth control than the pill, etc. But I don't routinely recommend them for Perimenopause, as some gynecologists do. Hormone Harmony should be ok with progesterone but it does have vitex in it so keep an eye on your progesterone levels as vitex can stimulate progesterone production.

    Hi
    what is your view on Hormon
    Harmony for menopause when you are on HRT?

    • @DrShelleyMeyer
      @DrShelleyMeyer  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think the estrontrol could potentially be helpful with hormone detoxification and liver support but the hormone Harmony is not a great match when you are already on bio hrt. The reason for this is because of the vitex as it stimulates hormone production, mostly progesterone, and you don't need extra progesterone when you are taking progesterone. I think the blend in general would potentially negate some of the effects of the actual hormone therapy also.

    • @DrShelleyMeyer
      @DrShelleyMeyer  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, the rosemary could potentially lower estrogen levels but not by much. The vitex can increase progesterone so you will want to keep an eye on estradiol and progesterone levels with your healthcare privider.

      Space it out from your thyroid med by at least 2 hours. It shouldn't interfere but sometimes these herbs can help your thyroid too so always keep an eye on your levels as you may need to reduce your dose of thyroid meds while on them. It might help with vaginal atrophy. There are no major red flags with breast cancer but it's best to discuss this with your breast oncologist before starting it as it does have a lot of ingredients and whenever anyone has a cancer history they need to discuss anything they are considering taking with their provider.
