During fishing high mountain lakes I often consider all the species that were wiped out with the introduction of European trout, it made my day to know there are still salamanders up there. You may want to let a local wildlife officer know where you found them, it could be important to a biologist one day.

The underwater footage really sets your channel apart. Those dragonfly nymphs are really amazing underwater predators. Salamanders are quite poisonous (something like a single salamander in a bucket of water can kill several adults) so it's actually possible that the trout were killed off in that first pond. Lastly, if you cut a few deep slits in the trout it won't curl up in the pan.
Correct me if im wrong but I'm pretty sure those are Axolotl, no poison, safe to touch, only reason you don't eat them is because they're endangered and people will knock on your door
You know I’ve heard people talk about poison ivy but I honestly don’t think I’ve ever seen it. Same goes for Sumac. I’ll be sure to let you guys know when I get into some 😂 👌🏼

Over in the UK, me and the misses have three of these “salamanders” however we call those “Axolotls”
Yeah they are called axolotls here too but I guess he just didn’t know what they are
