Hi, Can i set legency duration for intrusion? i want to monitor only if any personal stay on 5 min in the intrusion region

By setting the Tripwire mode with the line drawn at a distance of 35 meters from the camera, it is possible to trigger the camera alarm when any target (not just human or vehicle) crosses the line (especially at night) ??

What is "Draw Taret" for when using intrusion or trip wire and how do you decide to set it up for those two options? I cannot find a good explanation for its use in combination with those two rules.

    Hi,
Have you tried to configure this on hikvision camera? I can't seem to get it to work, my settings disappeared once i save an refresh. I love your videos by the way

thank you. No i have not done IVS on Hikvision as yet.

Thanks, what is the difference between tripwire and intrusion detection?

Are your IVS Tripwires / Triggers showing up as Orange marks in the Green Timeline bar of Smart PSS on PC?
My IVS Triggers do appear in Smart PSS 2.02.0 (same in 2.02.1) but NOT in the Green Timeline bar for unknown reasons - but Yellow Motion Alerts in the Green Timeline bar work perfectly - perplexing.
Datasheet for your HDW4631EM-ASE only has IVS Tripwire, Intrusion, Object Abandoned/Missing & Face Detection - Curious to know did you update the Camera Firmware so as to add the extra IVS rules of Fast Moving, Parking Detection, Crowd Gathering Estimation & Loitering Detection?
If you did update the Camera Firmware were you powering the Camera only by PoE during the Firmware update? Or did you use a transformer plugged directly into the Camera instead of PoE to install the Firmware Update?

the camera had the latest firmware. I will have to check the recording timeline to see if what you are asking is happening on.

This is a very long reply - but hopefully if I share my observations you might just come across something I have missed and crack our joint problem of why are IVS Orange marks missing in the Smart PSS PC Timeline.
Despite you using 2 Dahua DVR’s with Smart PSS on PC none of your Videos show any Orange IVS Tripwire / Trigger activations on Smart PSS - they only show Yellow Motion Detection activations - exactly the same problem here - even though I record directly onto a PC using only Smart PSS.
For me personally the Gold standard is to have Constant recording shown as Green - with Motion Sensing shown as Yellow - and IVS shown as Orange - all on the same Smart PSS TimeLine bar across the bottom of the PC screen.
Why? Because I have noticed that both Motion Sensing & IVS totally FAIL to detect people in various quite surprising combinations of lighting conditions and / or clothing colours. Lower Megapixel count cameras are even worse!
Therefore, by recording constantly I am guaranteed to capture everything if something important actually happens - which would otherwise be missed by both Motion Detection and IVS Detection not being 100%.
Otherwise what is the point of having any cameras at all if they fail to capture vital evidence of an occurrence because they do not always react to Motion Detection & IVS triggers - so I record constantly to mitigate this serious problem.
Often it is very revealing to also know what happened in the build up to an actual criminal event - meaning outside the IVS/Motion detection trigger areas re constant recording.
The Ultimate for me is to also use an Outdoor Motion Sensor covering what the camera is protecting the sensor being wired in to the camera Alarm Input connections - that is if the specific model of camera actually has an Alarm Input. This arrangement then gives an Alarm Output shown as Red on the same Smart PSS PC timeline.
That way even when the two different built-in camera motion sensing systems regularly fail to pick up a human then the external Motion sensor connected to the camera Alarm Input will still then put a Red Alarm Mark on the Smart PSS PC timeline. Multiple layers of Human Detection/Protection all backed up by constant recording.
I am now wondering how to make the Orange and Red marks (besides just Yellow and Green) appear in my Smart PSS PC Timeline? Making Orange marks appear in Smart PSS PC Timeline would save a huge amount of time.
Timesaving - just consider how much time is wasted every single year - Orange IVS and Red Alarm Smart PSS PC timeline marks are vital for efficiency, modernity and system efficacy as not only would they save everyone a huge amount of time every week (by not having to check occasionally vast amounts of Yellow motion triggers) but Orange IVS marks would also significantly increase security as they would highlight events that are currently overlooked by being hidden in excessive (despite adjustments) Yellow motion triggers.
I think there must be some quirk to getting Orange IVS etc. triggers to appear on the Smart PSS PC timeline and Dahua have only said to get & use an NVR or Use SD Memory Cards in the cameras or a newer version of Smart PSS. Those did not work.
Worse still NVR’s overheat then cyclically lock up so recording stops at random - NVR’s also introduce various odd limitations and appallingly the NVR’s SMART function - that is meant to warn of a failing hard disk - totally failed to react to some test hard disks that I tried out that I knew to be faulty from PC’s already having flagged them as faulty via SMART but the NVR thought there was absolutely nothing wrong with the known faulty hard disks! What a horrific false sense of security NVR’s can give!
I now realise from your answer that you have HDW4631C Chinese market cameras so the firmware was modified by the vendor to change the on-screen menu language from Chinese to English & that is also why you have more IVS rules available on your “C” version Cameras compared to the “EM-ASE” version.
In that case (as I am sure you are already well aware) beware of updating your firmware as your cameras could then revert back to Chinese language - plus there is also the rumour that Dahua are locking out Chinese market cameras from non-Chinese market NVR’s via new firmware.
Again, none of that solves the lack of Orange IVS etc. in the Smart PSS PC Timeline bar as my Dahua cameras are European market models on regular firmware - but still no Orange IVS marks in the Smart PSS PC timeline - exact same problem as you have despite different methods of recording and different geographic area products & firmware’s.
I successfully updated my Camera firmware before installing my cameras - since installation even newer camera firmware has now been released but updating the firmware failed this time - the difference being the cameras are now running on “PoE+” power but before installation I ran them on directly connected transformer power instead of “PoE+” and the firmware update went smoothly.
Dahua are worryingly blasé on that point by never once confirming that a Firmware update will actually succeed while powered by PoE or PoE+ instead just saying “try it” but it is my cameras that could be bricked by just casually “trying it” - one of my PoE+ powered cameras rebooted after I uploaded a new firmware file to it but was still running the same firmware as before which is problematic - but at least the camera still works!

Is there a way to do this remotely? If a camera is already on site and lost its autotracking settings somehow? The tripwire lines has been removed
