Being a native American English speaker, I love to watch these video just to listen to the differences between American and British. There's always at least one spot that makes me smile. This one in particular gave me a few chuckles (especially the spots where you hesitated, Tom, in a horrified sort of way).
Dear Tom, the quote says "Don't judge the book by its cover", but actually the cover of your new book is engaging and likeable, so I really look forward to preordering "my copy". Thanks for your work, I'm lockdown in Italy where I live with my family. I appreciate everything helps to be busy with productive activities like improving my English. Again, thank you Tom and be careful.
Contractions test my learning resilience! They are not present in my mother tongue so ... sometimes they are like a nightmare! Thanks for this amazing video
Hello Tom....got a Question for u,please. It is okay to use Contractions while Speaking, right? However, can we use it in Formal Business Communication ? I'd want your inputs for my students, please. Many thanks (from India).
Superb Tom great work nice idea. I have an idea, what if you make a video about what the British commentaries says and the most frequent words, adjectives and phrases said in the matches because I'm confused with this...
Matija Bedić I think you’re right. It was probably a mistake. The apostrophe stands for the missing letters, so in this case it stands for the ‘ou’ so it should be y’all.
Dare not - Daren't Because - cos going to - gonna want to - wanna kind of - kinda don't know - dunno isn't it - innit some unfamiliar usage, thanks, I get it.

Well done Tom for this lesson, I feel even some of the contractions are not easy for native speakers, is`nt it?
Super!!! 👍
2:11 I might be wrong, but shouldn't the contraction be spelled as "y'all"?
@@TW-qz5nz Ah, I see. It's probably just the British and American English spelling difference.
Matija Bedić I think you’re right. It was probably a mistake. The apostrophe stands for the missing letters, so in this case it stands for the ‘ou’ so it should be y’all.
So cool!!!!🎉
