The formula for ground force size/composition converted to PPV hasn't been discovered yet? Do you have a ballpark estimate of unit size per million I would need to fulfill PPV requirements, such as what you would need for a colony just reaching that 10mil threshold?

I think you need PDC's or *Military Class* Ships in orbit (or patrol?) to provide PPV. Fighters likely procide it as well but I've never messed with fighters. I'm kind of under the impression that it actually shows PPV of a PDC or Ship in the Ship Designer menu. Unfortunately it's been a while since I've played as my Dot Net framework is corrupted and impossible to fix short of a backup and wipe to factory defaults and I'm too lazy to do that atm. As others have mentioned, Garrisons only suppress dissent / rebellion created by the unhappiness of laking PPV. I could swear that the economics screen (or colony overview) shows the PPV desired by the population and it's directly related to population... IIRC.

really not sure what you mean mate, PDCs dont exist anymore.
