I'd say the fact you discovered the fault and were able to so clearly identify it and communicate it to Renogy must have really helped with that warranty claim, so well done to you Julius! We considered Renogy for our build just for the value for money, glad to hear it's been working well on the road. I'm sure you are glad you have that big battery storage with starlink now since that can also drain the battery a bit :)

I’m sure that was beneficial, for sure! Definitely a good option, but you guys will be sweet with all Enerdrive.
Oh yeah we have noticed the starlink definitely uses a bit, especially when you have it on for quite some time, definitely glad to have plenty of battery storage for that

Apart from the CS issues, Renogy products appear more value for money than Enerdrive or Redarc. Cheers on providing a detailed early review and impressions.

Yeah a good alternative it seems (so far anyway)!

Thanks for the great video! I'm curious about simultaneous charge with this system, having input from solar with the Rover mppt & alternator with the DCDC - I'm designing a near identical system and am wondering whether the Rover thinks the batteries are full when driving as the DCDC input is charging the battery and therefore the rover reads 14.2v and stops charging? Any workaround for this, or are the renogy products smart enough to figure it all out and allow for the 1.2kw of charge as you say?

Hey, thanks for watching! I definitely understand what you mean, with how it might think they batteries are full based on charge coming in from the dcdc charger via alternator. Has not been an issue though, I guess the batteries being less than fully charged must keep the system voltage at that if the batteries? When driving in full sun the smart shunt monitor often shows between 1.0-1.2kw of charge coming in depending on weather conditions and it clearly jumps from the 500W+ thats coming from just solar when we turn the van on
