It looks like your pipe/silencer is partially clogged. Look at how little comes out of the silencer when you rev it.

  • @paul340mopar

Studded Tires=Ice Racing, Rust and Water=Broke thru the Ice.

Honestly you think everyone is lieing to you

  • @dougaranda6187

I hope you didn’t give much $ for this one.

  • @jamiebouchard9862

Definitely clogged up exhaust, most likely the silencer. Barely any smoke was coming out the tailpipe.

  • @larrywarner9314

I'd also replace that piston also , don't know about you but if I just put a ring on that damaged piston and sold that bike to someone that's shady work and in my state that I live in is a crime !!

  • @benschlack5814

You do a lot of guessing 😂

  • @Chevchild

Don't really like the welded cylinder. ? Water jacket crack communication.

  • @chrishall8142

Like you videos .. but your voice quality fades at the end of most sentences it goes nasally and groans.. I can’t unhear it 😂

  • @HooligansMx

That bike 100% went through the ice

  • @Hammerback972

If you replace the side cover gasket you might as well replace the Water pump impeller shaft and bearings and seals. If the bearings are worn even a little bit the impeller shaft and seals will both be worn. Problem is that the seals end up wearing grooves in the shaft because the bearings are worn. I just rebuilt a 96 RM 125 a few months ago that someone had "Rebuilt" and it overheated because all of the coolant ended up in the oil. Luckily it did not hurt the bottom end but I did have to get the cylinder bored .005 over to clean it up.

Joe, It looked like exhaust was coming out everywhere except the tail pipe. I think the guy did a triple back flip into a lake 😮😢

  • @danielthomas7318

That poor bikes had a hard life! That crank was filthy. Needs full rebuild IMO. Also a new cylinder head that weld doesn’t fill me with confidence. As others have said the pipe looks blocked. My biggest concern would be those frame rails though 🙈 good luck joe great content as usual

  • @user-fi3fx5my2s

Was it sunk in a lake, ridden on salted roads?? 😅 what a mess but your killing it Joe, like always, Vinny's there to keep you chill!!!

  • @jameshodge6731

There is one part of that carb common problem. There is a gasket you didnt change goes bad. Its under the 2 torque screws . Look up JDMK05 kit and how to install. Jd jettings also has jet/needle kits for these bikes.

A set of ratchet spanners would make your life so much easier, great content as always.

Joe, my man. You have officially become a hoarder :)

  • @itarry4

Whilst I'm always impressed by your knowledge and ability it does annoy me that you're perfectly happy to do a half assed job just to get it running. That engine had obviously been full of water, the coolant leak, etc. You just Breeze past these issues just to fire it up even though there's a fair chance you're doing more damage even if it's minor. What's wrong with doing it right first time occasionally? On a bike like this it's not really an issue accept it's a Yamaha but on some stuff you do it can be really annoying. OCD I guess.

  • @Pittsburgh-412

Like others have said, you had more smoke coming from the engine than out the exhaust. It may be clogged or have water in it. I'm thinking this bike was sunk or was exposed to salt water somehow because of the rust and corrosion
