This controller is full of features and hopefully some of these tips will be helpful for you. Thanks to the community for sharing many of these tips through the comments, I thought I would capture all of these and compile in this one video to show the fans this controller.

Still a big fan of the edge, I’ve never played competitively. I just think the edge makes me slightly better 😅

I am happy I watched this video... I typically play with it connected via the USB and never changed the settings.. Hopefully this will be a game changer.
Cheers for the comment! You’ll be around 10ms quicker, so for those fps games you’ll definitely be better off having a wired connection.

Just bought one today from Target! I was debating about buying it or buying the regular Ps5 controller. I play cod a decent amount, and im pretty good, but hopefully, this will help with stick drift and then not having to buy a new controller every 6 to 7 months due to stick issues. Thinking that the regular ones are 80+ in the US after taxes and then paying 200 came down to how many controllers i might go through for the rest of the PS5s life cycle. Came here to get some ideas on what to do with my controller when it gets here, left learning that i had to change the setting from Bluetooth to wired. I've had my controller plugged in ever since i got my PS5 cause I play Siege primarily. Thank you!

Great video, I'd assumed the connection would automatically switch to wired when plugging in the USB cable, crazy as they should be able to do this.

Have they added a feature to flip/invert the camera stick? Both X and Y?
Holding down the microphone button to mute all audio works on the normal ps5 controller I think

Bro i just got this controller few days ago and it feels way better than the regular controller I dont wanna use it too much because i dont wanna ware off the smooth grips. Lol

Yeah I’ve been using the half dome for a while now.
@@RespawnRoss feels more comfortable to me. The paddles (normal or reversed) are just too light to press imo
Do you know how the wired connection effects the battery life?
Like if we swap the settings to wired does that ensure it dont try to overcharged our controller, or does it even matter?
It’s a good question, I don’t have the answer, but I think there is some form of intelligence that once the battery is fully charged it stops charging to remove the risk of ‘overcharging’, and I think in terms of rechargeable batteries it’s always good to give it a cycle e.g deplete it and recharge so I would say every so often just use it wirelessly and run the battery down.

nice video. Plug in a powerbank onto the USB C port on the dualsense edge and you are good to go for another few more hours. One output port on my powerbank doesnt work with it and i tried the secondary USB C port and it works. So its charging the Edge while I am playing. I am using a UGREEN 25000mah powerbank that is able to charge at 140w from 1 usb-c port. So i am not sure which powerbank will work with this controller besides this Ugreen. I also swapped out the original shortest thumbstick caps that came with the Edge with some metal caps i bought. pretty good now.
Nice tip on the power bank, I guess useful if you play far from your console to plugging it in directly. Where did you get your metal caps from?

My left thumb stick seems to not recentre when setting the dead zone and pulls me all directions when looting crates in zombies , is it time for a new thumb stick. Currently set a 4% on dead zone for it 😬. Thanks
You could try increasing your dead zone, but the higher you go the more impact on your sensitivity.

can i use my back paddles on mobile if i connect it through bluetooth? anyway possible?
Yes but when I last tested it you needed to reassign it on the ps5 console first.
After update in warzone my aim is not controllable any idea whats wrong . Using edge controller my right anolog is delayed in game
Sounds like a dead zone issue, try adjusting them in your edge controller settings as well as the warzone in game settings. Maybe your dead zone is too high? Hope that helps.

What’s upsetting to me tho is the response curves you can put on them inside the system don’t really seem to help any game Iv tried them on
You have to use them a while to feel the benefit. If you have warzone go into the gun range and try them out. I just use default, I’m pretty happy with that.
Can you disable the media/share/create button on this?
You can disable, but you can’t reassign to another button.

The paddles will eventually wear out. My right paddle module moves about on the controller and it's basically useless. After a few goggle searches it's a real issue that alot are having.... Welp. Omw to GameStop for another one😂
I’ve heard a few people that have pressed the back paddles too hard have had an issue!

Any dettings you recommend for warzone?
Turn off the vibration, use the shortest trigger stops, try dynamic curve, I’ve mapped the rear buttons to jump (left) crouch/slide (right), I prefer the dome buttons. Keep the controller wired for the most responsive. Let me know what you’ve used!

does the function keys work as a volume rocker with any choice of audio device, like IEMs?
It should do, but you’d need to double check it’s compatible.
i want to get one, but how often does the new stick modules restock? because when i check them they are always out of stock and i don’t want to be stuck with stick drift when i get it
I’ve had the controller for a year and not yet had to replace the sticks.
Stick modules are in stock from the sony direct website.
They're cheapest and in stock at PlayStation direct
6hrs of gaming is crazy you need a breather at that point

I’ve heard that people did some testing and Bluetooth is actually faster than the wired connection for some reason. It’s not a huge difference but they said you might as well use it wirelessly.
All the testing I’ve seen, a wired connection is 10ms faster, there will be many variables that will make Bluetooth slower/faster but a wired connect would always be quicker. Where have you read Bluetooth is faster?

@@RespawnRossthe wired speed advantage mostly only exists on pc as the controller's bt connection method to the console is different than the conventional version used by a pc. This has been the case since the ds4 as the communication method is similar to the one used by the dualshock 3 which was infamously not regular Bluetooth and required specific adaptors or software to work with other devices, it's just that ds4 and dualsense now have a built in solution. My best guess is that the chipsets and antennas on Playstation consoles and controllers are proprietary as to have their own channel and protocols for lower latency that conventional BT
Could k ask. What does adaptive triggers mean. What’s the best setting to use?
Adaptive triggers are pressured triggers so you’ll feel feedback when you pull them. You can adjust the amount of pressure you feel in the settings or turn them off entirely. It’s great for story modes which support them, but I turn them off completely for online fps games.

It was because my controller was fully charged. I guess it stops ‘charging’ once it’s fully charged.

If you feel there will be a benefit in not having to remove your fingers from the thumbstick to perform an actions then it will be useful.

Thanks for the comment, price is a massive issue with the controller considering you can get a pro Xbox controller for around $150 if not cheaper. However they have been out a lot longer, I’d like to see the edge come down to this price then I think it’s 100% worth it.
