Thank you very much for this video. I enjoyed it a lot. My Card will arrive in two days, so your clip showed me what to expect. BTW... your beard is awesome and nice backround music. Greetings from Germany.
Nice looking card. I aways loved the evga geforce cards but with the shortage on cards these days, im happy with the 3080 ti base model that came with my omen 45l.
Appreciate the comment Daniel! The stock for the EVGA cards is pretty high right now! You can find them through multiple vendors for very little to no mark up! One of the best reference cards made right now.
Congratz! This 3070 ti is one amazing video card! I buy this and your review is so good and i am calm in my buy with this video. Thanks so much, and very lucky in your gaming. Salutes from Argentina.
That is so awesome, I am very happy for you! Persistence pays off. Those benchmark numbers are solid and the card looks great. I've been running either Asus or EVGA video cards pretty much exclusively for the past 15 years and have never had an issue. The used gaming PC that I bought early this year came with an EVGA 1070 Ti SC 8GB which has been solid for me (my previous gaming PC has an Asus GTX 1060 3GB which also ran without a hiccup). How noticeable of an improvement is that 3070 Ti versus your Radeon 5700 XT? I'd be curious to know how Tom Clancy's The Division 2 runs on your setup (if you have it). Your PC has changed and evolved so much since you started this channel and it looks fantastic.
Thanks Mark! It does seem like EVGA and ASUS are the way to go for GPU’s. EVGA’s customer support has been fantastic so far, which seems like a good representation for their product as a whole. 1070Ti is definitely a strong GPU! The biggest difference between the 3070Ti and 5700 is Ray Tracing, DLSS, and encoding. Handles streaming and editing WAY better with NVIDIA’s awesome encoding. It definitely out performs it in games, especially if DLSS is involved. You know what, I think I might have the Division 2 on my UBISOFT account. I will have to check it out for you. 👍🏻
I am so happy for you Dan! That GPU is awesome! Always so inspiring to see you always improving your PC. It gives me hope. On a side note, I have a question for you. The one year warranty is up for my son's PC is up. Do you think I should extend it or not to bother? As always I hope you and your family are well.
Hey!! Good to hear from you. I personally wouldn’t extend it but I know it belongs to your son. Depending on the price to extend, it would probably be worth it.
@DanKamYouKnow nah I seen them bundles been on antonline for weeks they limit one per house hold so they do that to keep people trying to buy more than one gpu so nobody even scalpers can't even get them but seen then bundle stay in stock for weeks and when they sell all them out they will add more within a week so about every week or so they always adding more stock they doing the bundles bc scalpers don't want that stuff
This video was perfect. I just ran into an issue where I was installing my old 2080 Super into my sons computer and the fan from the AORUS X570 Elite was sticking out too much for the GPU to click in. Now I know the 3070Ti FTW3 will fit. I really didn't want to take mine out and test it lol.
That is funny you mention that because it is a VERY close fit with my motherboard. The GPU is VERY close to the chipset fan that is on the motherboard. It does work though and I haven't had a problem.
@@DanKamYouKnow I wish there was a way to replace the fan to something low profile. It's easy to remove, surprised there's not a mod for it. I got my hands on another 3070 TI, perfect fit. Much better than the MSI 5700xt I had.
Dude, I want this card but I have a Vader setup, all black and red RGB plus red RAMs. This card not only has a HUGE white bar when turned off, but as a consequence of it being white it turns the red LED into pink! Man I hate when brands do this kind of thing.
If you go for the FTW3 3080, the light bar is actually silver, instead of white like on the 3070Ti. I totally understand where you’re coming from though.
My spot in the EVGA queue is almost up for one of these. I already have a Aorus Master 3070, which I love, but hopefully I can trade it to some one for a PS5.
Nice! I love this card so far and it's ran all games I have tried with ease. I am sure someone would trade a GPU for a PS5, just gotta find the right person!
I just got the same GPU and its awesome! Already installed mine but realized I forgot to peel the circular plastic cover off the center of the three fans (you can kind of see them at around 6:33 ). Its really a hassle for me to remove my GPU from my ITX case so I wonder if those thin plastic film will cause any trouble.
Well, I signed up Feb 2021 and got the notice for purchase in Jan 2022. Keep a close eye on your e-mails. Once you get notified that the card is available, you have 20 hours to make the purchase, or else you lose your chance. I bought this same card, EVGA 3070Ti FTW3 Ultra, for $829, plus tax and shipping.
Some are set to MSRP, some are a little above, and some are way above. Some come bundled with multiple items as well. NewEgg is pretty shady with how they handle the shuffles in my opinion.
finally got lucky today to purchase this card for msrp 829$, and compared to the asus tuf 3070ti is selling for 969$, this card is more valuable also it's boost the clock to 1860mhz.
Congrats! It’s an awesome card. Sooooo, I ended up using EVGA’s Step-Up program and I exchanged my 3070Ti for an EVGA FTW3 3080. For right now, the 3080 will probably be in my system for many years but we’ll see how the market is then.
@@DanKamYouKnow 3 things Are you satisfied with the results of the performance upgrades from a 3070 ti to a 3080, how much did the step up cost, and I would be thrilled to see a review of your 3080
Yes, the 3080 is a monster of a GPU and very happy with it's performance. It honestly feel like it's built even better than the 3070Ti too. So, for the Step Up; You register your graphics card with EVGA and give them your proof of invoice. I paid $800 ( without taxes ) for my 3070Ti ( in a bundle ) and MSRP for a 3080 FTW3 is $919. So I payed the difference between MSRP for those 2 + tax + shipping. It ended up being around $200 to exchange my 3070Ti for a 3080. I don't think I am going to do a review as there are TONS of reviews on TH-cam already of this card. It's also very similar to my 3070Ti except the backing plate is a little different / the top EVGA lights up / the side panel lights up / heat pipes are silver instead of bronze / 3 8 pin connectors instead of 2 8 pin / Pulls much more power / Significant FPS boost over the 3070Ti. I can answer any other question you might have about it. Have you registered your GPU yet?
I don’t hear any coil whine! The factory fan curve for the 3 fans is pretty aggressive so you will get some fan noise above 65c but it doesn’t bother me at all. I use an Antec 850w Gold PSU with it, that should be linked in the description 😎
what do you think i should go for the EVGA 3070TI FTW3 or the EVGA 3080 FTW3? cause the price difference is $200 right now but I seen the difference between the 2 cards is somewhat minimal
I actually did a review on the EVGA 3080 as well and it’s my current card. The 3080 pulls much more power and the extra 2GB of VRAM is worth the extra money. What price are you seeing that 3080 for?
Quick question, I have the same gpu. Are the fans loud? I tried adjusting the curve on precision x1 and it works while playing games the majority of the time unless I go into a game menu and then back to gameplay it gets loud again for like 5 seconds before it realizes the fan curve I inputted on the precision x1 software. Do you have this problem with the noise it makes? I miss my gigabyte, this thing is too loud
I have noticed that the stock fan curves are set pretty aggressively and there is a decent amount of noise. I also tried to set a fan curve in Precision and it didn’t seem to make any difference, which was strange. If I were you, I would use MSI Afterburner to set a fan curve. I always wear headphones when I game so I don’t notice the noise too much.
Don’t know if you’ll se this but how would apex legends run on that rig. I got an hp omen 30l with a 3060 ti and 5800x and I’d imagine it would run sort of similar but not exactly the same. Also love your videos, especially since I was planning on upgrading to that case and motherboard and similar cpu cooler (arctic freezer 50). My warranty runs out in 3 years so it might be a while until I do those upgrades, and I just bought the computer so I don’t want to spend too much more money right now. Anyway went on a little if a tangent there, I love your videos and keep doing what you’re doing. Also check apex legends please 😏
Hey Samuel, thanks! I appreciate it. So I am currently running an overclocked 5600x, my 3070Ti and my monitors refresh rate is 144, so I cap games out at 144 FPS. Apex never once dipped under 144 at all. I can fully test it out after work today but looking at other benchmarks, it looks like it’s going to hit around 180-210 FPS on 1440p / high
@@DanKamYouKnow Thanks! Sounds good. The only thing I’m worried about is cooling tbh with the omen cause I know it’s not the greatest. But if I remember 75-80C should be safe. But anyway thanks for answering my question and keep doing what you love. ✌️
Yeah, 75-80c isn’t too bad actually. You could always use MSI Afterburner to use a little more aggressive of a fan curve, and you could bring the temps down slightly. Will introduce more fan noise though. And thank you!!
I just literally ordered this from bestbuy this morning I’ll have a decent build my self when this comes in Ill pair it with 10700k cpu Asia rog strix board z490e gaming 32 gigs ram 3200 Corsair Corsair 850 watt modular power supply
5:15 im confused, so based on what you said here, this card requires a minimum of 750w or what does that mean and if thats the case, could you recommend me any psu that'll work well with this?
Yes, the minimum power supply wattage is 750 watts. Sometimes it’s a good idea to go bigger as well: 750w PSU’s: amzn.to/3o8qzoF amzn.to/3Gdv7QS amzn.to/3o8zqXu amzn.to/3KMWogm 850w PSU’s: amzn.to/3AFVQnQ amzn.to/3rZLZ8G amzn.to/3obE07o
@@DanKamYouKnow forgot to say thanks for putting down links, by any chance, does it really make a difference in their brand when it comes to performance? because i am tempted to get the corsair 850 w, but then i see the gigabyte 850 and i am unfamiliar with that
The 3700x CPU performs very similarly to the 5600x actually. Only reason I went with the 5600x is that it came bundled with my GPU. If I were you, If you were planning to upgrade at some time, I would go with a 5800x. The 3700x is still an awesome processor though, and an upgrade definitely isn’t necessary.
@@DanKamYouKnow Maybe I'm overthinking since I only got my hp omen 2 weeks ago and haven't even upgraded the fans!! ryzen 7 3700x 16gb 2x8 ram rtx 3070
With the Omen motherboard, you wouldn’t be able to upgrade your CPU anyways. You’d have to get a different motherboard because your Omen board won’t support a 5xxx series CPU. A 3700x and 3070 is an AWESOME combo dude, no need to upgrade at all.
I have no way of testing the game at 4K. I would suggest going 1440p if you are going with a 3070Ti. Higher frames and doesn’t look much different than 4K
The largest size GPU you can fit in a 30L is 279mm, so my 3070Ti would not fit. The motherboard can support any GPU, the case is the limiting factor because of its size.
So, MSRP for this specific card is $800 so $1,100 isn’t toooo far off the mark but you gotta decide if it’s worth it. The graphics card IS fantastic though.
I use mine for 1440p / Ultra settings and it’s fantastic. Also tried a 4K monitor with it and the performance for both were actually pretty similar. I didn’t see a big enough jump in 4K to warrant going to 4K monitors from my 1440p though
@@DanKamYouKnow lol gotcha, think I'll just buy a 1440p monitor then. I was on the fence regarding whether or not I should purchase a 4K monitor but there's like a $300 difference between the 1440p and the 4K I was considering. You just helped me confirm my decision lmao
You’ll see a little extra detail with 4K but yeah, not enough for the price jump. Gonna wait until 4K is more standard and prices come down. 1440p and 144/165/240hz is the way to go.
So I run 32GB of 3600mhz RAM which may account for a little bit of difference. Warzone is absolutely the worst game to benchmark your system with as every update just makes it more unoptimized.
I wouldn’t chance it. Never know when you get a huge power spike. Your GPU may pull that much on some games but you have to look at what the entire system is pulling.
Oh, you’re talking about an Omen. I did not install this in my Omen case… This is my DIY Fractal case build. For an Omen, as long as the GPU is less than 280mm in total length, it will fit and you will most likely not be able to use the sag bracket. But it isn’t really needed for a 3060Ti
That is one thing I did not do. In most cases, it’s not worth upgrading the CPU because you can usually only upgrade to that gens highest processor. Usually not worth the money to performance gain.
I have not tried it, no. I bought it a couple months ago because I used to play the original a long time ago. I’ve only played like an hour recently. Got too many games to play lol
I just loaded it up and it hit my monitors refresh rate of 144 easily with zero dips below. 1440p / Ultra. I’m guessing it would get a TON more on a higher refresh rate monitor. L
I miss EVGA. They had the best looking cards.

5:15 im confused, so based on what you said here, this card requires a minimum of 750w or what does that mean and if thats the case, could you recommend me any psu that'll work well with this?
Yes, the minimum power supply wattage is 750 watts. Sometimes it’s a good idea to go bigger as well:
750w PSU’s:
amzn.to/3o8qzoF
amzn.to/3Gdv7QS
amzn.to/3o8zqXu
amzn.to/3KMWogm
850w PSU’s:
amzn.to/3AFVQnQ
amzn.to/3rZLZ8G
amzn.to/3obE07o
@@DanKamYouKnow forgot to say thanks for putting down links, by any chance, does it really make a difference in their brand when it comes to performance? because i am tempted to get the corsair 850 w, but then i see the gigabyte 850 and i am unfamiliar with that
Most PSU’s will work just fine. Corsair / EVGA / Seasonic / Gigabyte / Antec / etc

Do you think this graphics card will fit in the stock 25L case?
Nope, this card is 300mm is length and Omens can only fit cards that 285mm or shorter. I think it’s actually too wide too.
i own the rtx 3070 but my cpu is ryzen 7 3700x, should i upgrade my cpu to get better fps for my gpu?
The 3700x CPU performs very similarly to the 5600x actually. Only reason I went with the 5600x is that it came bundled with my GPU. If I were you, If you were planning to upgrade at some time, I would go with a 5800x.
The 3700x is still an awesome processor though, and an upgrade definitely isn’t necessary.
@@DanKamYouKnow Maybe I'm overthinking since I only got my hp omen 2 weeks ago and haven't even upgraded the fans!!
ryzen 7 3700x
16gb 2x8 ram
rtx 3070
With the Omen motherboard, you wouldn’t be able to upgrade your CPU anyways. You’d have to get a different motherboard because your Omen board won’t support a 5xxx series CPU.
A 3700x and 3070 is an AWESOME combo dude, no need to upgrade at all.
@@DanKamYouKnow good to know! im a little annoyed that my warzone performance has been poor since getting the pc
What kind of performance are you getting? What resolution are you using and what FPS are you getting?
any idea how many FPS on Destiny 2 @4k?
I have no way of testing the game at 4K. I would suggest going 1440p if you are going with a 3070Ti. Higher frames and doesn’t look much different than 4K
Would a gpu that size fit onto the Omen 30L motherboard in the case you have or do you need to swap the motherboard to fit that size gpu?
The largest size GPU you can fit in a 30L is 279mm, so my 3070Ti would not fit. The motherboard can support any GPU, the case is the limiting factor because of its size.
@@DanKamYouKnow you're the man! Thank you. Love the vids, they've been a huge help with my 30L
Thank you and I’m happy my videos helped! 👍🏻
Can this GPU fit in the Omen 25l case?
Unfortunately not, it’s 300mm long and the max GPU length for an Omen is 287mm
hey! do you think i should buy this same card for $1100?
So, MSRP for this specific card is $800 so $1,100 isn’t toooo far off the mark but you gotta decide if it’s worth it. The graphics card IS fantastic though.
I’m seeing the 3070 for $535 and the 3080 for $685. Is the 3080 worth the extra $150?
100% worth the extra money. The 3080 is definitely the best value as far as 3xxx series cards go.
@@DanKamYouKnow from what I've heard it handles 4K better than the 3070 does too, so it's a better card futureproof wise too, it seems
I have the same card with a 5800x cpu and I’m only getting 90 fps. Do you know what I can do to get higher. I have a 1440p monitor. Thanks
What game? Also, what memory speed are you using?
@@DanKamYouKnow sorry. Warzone. I have 2x8gb so 16 total ddr4 3200
So I run 32GB of 3600mhz RAM which may account for a little bit of difference. Warzone is absolutely the worst game to benchmark your system with as every update just makes it more unoptimized.
I would test the system with another game as Warzone just isn’t optimized enough for a proper benchmark.
@@DanKamYouKnow thanks. Will do. I need to purchase a game so I can test it.
Can you check escape from tarkov?
1440p / High Settings / Around 90FPS
1440p / Low / Around 130FPS
It says 750w power supply minimum but I run mine on a 650w and it never goes over like 150w anyway
I wouldn’t chance it. Never know when you get a huge power spike. Your GPU may pull that much on some games but you have to look at what the entire system is pulling.
@@DanKamYouKnow yea that’s true, I’m gonna get a new psu soon
Where can I get that software from,?
Google “Precision X1”
Just got it for 600$🎉🎉🎉
Helluva deal for a AWESOME card. Still using mine absolute beast.
Can you maybe test monster hunter world
At 1440p resolution, about 130 FPS with DLSS turned on, all settings maxed out.
Did the sag bracket not fit ?
It did not come with a sag bracket, nor did my case. I ended up buying one off of Amazon though
@@DanKamYouKnow I just bought a 3060 TI so hoping that it’ll fit in my HP omen 25L with bracket to
Oh, you’re talking about an Omen. I did not install this in my Omen case… This is my DIY Fractal case build. For an Omen, as long as the GPU is less than 280mm in total length, it will fit and you will most likely not be able to use the sag bracket. But it isn’t really needed for a 3060Ti
@@DanKamYouKnow ahh I see thank you! I was wondering if you have any videos of upgrading CPU in HP omen?
That is one thing I did not do. In most cases, it’s not worth upgrading the CPU because you can usually only upgrade to that gens highest processor. Usually not worth the money to performance gain.
Asus TUF vs EVGA?
I would choose EVGA IMO but ASUS makes awesome cards
Wow , here prices are double high there.
Yeah, prices for other countries can be significantly more 😫😕

Age Of Empires 2 DE
I own AoE2, I’ll let you know as soon as I can.
@@DanKamYouKnow nice. thank you.
Do you play multiplayer online?
I have not tried it, no. I bought it a couple months ago because I used to play the original a long time ago. I’ve only played like an hour recently. Got too many games to play lol
I just loaded it up and it hit my monitors refresh rate of 144 easily with zero dips below. 1440p / Ultra. I’m guessing it would get a TON more on a higher refresh rate monitor. L

Ayyeeeee
would this fit in a be quiet pure base 600 case?
It’s pretty much the length you’d have to worry about. This GPU is 300mm long, so you should see what max length that case can fit.
